so, I recently moved from the west coast to the East coast due to my job. I have been using the Desire HD and my iphone off and on and just pulled out the DZ and fired her up. when i got connected to the network i saw 3G+. I know it should indicate that im on HSPA+. anyone else see that before? i m currently running Virtuous v1.0.1 (vision). just thought i would share since i did ever see it in Seattle.

Yeah its kind like the mod for cyanagen mod 7 that changes the "H" for "4G". I'm sure this is the same mod but instead uses "3g+"
Yeah, 3G+ would be a better description rather than "H"

Actually, no.
U would be better than 3G.
H is correct.

Um isn't it all preference? Lol...I don't think there is a definitive answer to this.

This app is just like Google Maps but instead of traffic shows you 4G on a very detailed scale. It's based off reports from other people running the app and helped me find a location 4 blocks away that had reported 4G. I walked over and got 2Mbps down on the SpeedTest.net app.
I live in NYC and 4G is not official here yet so this was a great surprise.
Look for "4G MapViewer" on the Market and grab it! You might find a location nearby and it will help everyone else!

Great find very cool app
thanks. very cool indeed
I was surprised to see 4G in a LARGE portion of Sacramento, CA!
Gonna try it out sometime....
thanks for sharing! checking it out now.
It's been widely known that AT&T's LTE service didnt go further north than San Ramon or San Rafael for a while now, which is in the Bay Area. Well i'm in Davis, just 15-20min. outside of Sac and have LTE service! Hopefully this means Sac gets it soon cause its pretty damn fast!

Yep

Just thought I would ask what kind of speeds others are getting on the DC-HSDPA data. I was amazed with regular download speeds of over 15Mbps but tested just today and got 26.2 Mbps down and 3.38Mbps up.
This is unbeleivable, who needs 4G.
This is on the 3 network by the way.

where are you ? London im guessing.
The best i have got like 5mbs on 3, but im on the outskirts of birmingham, need to go into city centre to see
Best I have got so far 24mb down and 3mb up on 3G with EE
AW: HTC One Data Speeds
German VF LTE, look @ signal strenght
one'ed....
i think he meant the bbc news APP is back ...because it was incompatible with the htc one at the beginning (sorry wrong thread )
From my understanding DC-HSDPA (DC=dual channel) requires you to have good reception from TWO base stations. So you need to be in a city centre or densely covered area. If you are on the outskirts of anywhere, you are likely only to get one strong connection. So far the highest I saw was 14Meg on Three, but I haven't been into London with the One yet.
LTE will be better because you only need a good connection with one base station to get those kinds of numbers.
So while it is true that DC-HSDPA gets very close to LTE...LTE will be more consistent once its widespread.
Wow I need to get one of those phones I'm on 3 and in London my one X only gets like 3mbps

I know this is completely subjective depending on where you live. Just recently my area went from 2G/Edge to HSPA+ (I have an unlocked R800at I am using on Tmobile in the US)
Anyways not too long ago Tmo finished refarming their 2G two AT&T compatible 3G. So now I am getting HSPA+ everywhere I go and its pretty consistent and nice.
So I decided why not make a thread and have people post their screenshots of ther speedtest results, thought it might be fun.

Hi there, I have run the test twice, one in one server and the other one in my home town server (Bilbao), here I let you the screenshots
Edit: I suppose that you don't understand Spanish, so here you have translated

This is fastest i could get, but it is a bit useless to me because where i have fast mobile net, i can use wifi, and where i can't use wifi, mobile internet is slooow (on edge)
I typically run the speedtest 3 times and screenshot each one. I run the tests back to back from the same spot.
Thank you for sharing. Anyone else like to share their results?

Yes, i am on 6.0
If you're from Italy why are you using German language and why Turbo 2 instead of Force?
According graph you have low radio signal problem. Try to switch to 3g or 2g only.

Hey, i am using German language because i live in a part of Italy where German is the main language. And i actually have a X-Force. I will switch carriers on Monday and see if i get better Signal. Thanks for the Advice.
What i noticed from your screenshots is that you are using the phone in a high level of brightness. You can save up quite alot if you bring down the brightness level or use adaptive brightness (which i heard helped alot of people )
