i saw a pic of this. not sure if it was a concept or not, but it looked to only be half white like the disappointing step son that is the white evo.

I like the white evo, when they replaced my first evo (black) it was all that was available... I love it now. So I like the idea of getting the sgs2 in white as my next phone. I know we are all itching for our next phone

I think that looks kinda terrible.

I have an upgrade coming and a best buy gift card from points to buy it. So it feels free. We know its coming to Sprint. A Wimax version found its way through the fcc already

GPU war. Nexus s vs epic 4g

I've just recently noticed this. But benchmarks yield crappier gpu results in the nexus s than the epic. For example the corridor test on my epic oc'd to 1.3ghz rubs at 40+ fps. The lowest its dropped is 35 fps and the highest was 50fps. Meanwhile the nexus s is running 10-15 fps slower. I thought this was just some issue with my buds nexus s but I just youtubed some benches and found the same results. Anyone else notice this? Why? Same hardware and I expected the nexus s to actually do better since its got official gb and the epic doesn't. I'm kind of baffled here.

Well I just ran smartbench side by side to the ns4g. Much better result there. I guess the ns4gs gpu drivers are much different somewhere down the road. The "planet" test on quadrant ran at a horrid 11fps while it stays at a constant 56fps on the epic.

I've had the same results while comparing benches on my Epic and my Nexus S, but it's only Quadrant. Real world graphics performance is just as good if not better than the Epic's. Other benchmarkkng programs don't seem to have the same discrepancies.

You have the Premium app so all you have to do is touch on a post (like to quote them) and you should have a "thank" option...as long as you are on the most current version of XDA Premium. Not that I am fishing for thanks..just an FYI

@xda, build some transparent versions of the premium app and I'll pay the $1.50 for it!

Nexus on daily speed blows my old Epic away but it lacks in web browsing and some games that my epic could handle perfectly fine. I always wondered the reason behind that.

Bet the battery is missing contact with the points... Try a folded piece of paper between the battery and the cover.

And you have to turn on the vibrate options bud.

I would go with cm7 and use the adw premium launcher.... It's super customizable but true to the aosp feel.

Some of your reactions though, you'd think I'd just slapped a baby or something not made a mistake on a topic ffs .
What I ment is what devs etc are coming this way, are we getting cyanogen mod? Is anyone working on s- off? (Not sure we actually need that)
Up till now its been a great phone, had it over a week now, got the free solo beats a case and screen protectors for nowt. Only problems I've got is the battery hasnt been great an its getting a bit warm (gaming)
Oh and this is my second one, the first's back button stopped working in the first half hour.
