Slow after rooted - XPERIA X8 General

Hi,
I've rooted the phone on 2.1 update-1 and now it running really slow. I've also noticed texting is slow and touch screen takes a while to respond.
I'm thinking doing a full restore and leave rooting alone.

it never happen for me as after i rooted i installed custom rom and
is really fast.
sorry for my bad english.

What did you install after rooting? What method did you use to root your X8?

Hi there,
I used the super one click and then installed xrecovery, Come to think of it must of been X10 version of the xrecovery I used.
Anyway I just restored the phone and re-rooted and flashed miniCM on the phone all seems well.

Hi,
I got a problem I can't seem to get my saved sim card numbers to import to phone book.
Is this a issue with this ROM?

Original from Rogers... Havent installed any ROMs because this problem showed up!
If you can access the recovery image, you can flash any ROM that you want. That Rogers original ROM must not be rooted, so you have not root access.

Depends on the rom new hero roms shouldn't have any BT issues but some have problems with protected apps from the market. But just find a rom you like and read what issues the rom might have and find one there cover your needs.
Thanks a lot for ur help

[Q] New Wildfire rom on shipped-roms

Do any of you guys know whats in the new rom RUU_Buzz_HTC_WWE_1.25.405.1_Radio_13.45.55.24_3.35.15.31_release_142189_signed.exe up on shipped-roms ?
If its the 2.2 update would it be possible to extract the rom and intall it with custom recovery ?
I don't know but I don't think its an update to Froyo...
Because when the Desire get the 2.2 update, the build number became 2.XX.XXX
But nothing's sure until someone install it
I'm scared of installing it because I don't want to loose the Clockwork recovery (I don't know if it could delete it or not) and because I didn't reveive any OTA notification.
PS: Sorry for my english I'm Belgian.

You're correct in saying this is not 2.2. However you can run the RUU and re-root using unrevoked3.
The updated rom feels very snappy, and scrolling seems smoother.
Yeah i just realised my stupidity , obviously it would be 2.2xxxxxx if it had been the froyo update .
Oh well at least thats my phone debranded from 3uk and my phone definitely seems to be running much faster .
Or.. just flash latest WildPuzzleROM
its based that RUU
forgive my noobishness but can i flash this file and if i dont like it - switch back to my old one when i have a nandroid backup?
it likely is more complicated isn't it?!

yes you can
branded on 3
I have a question, if i de-brand my 3 Wildfire, would the free skype/messenger still work, because as far as i know unless your using a branded 3 phone, skype/messenger wont work, even if your using a 3 sim.

Well i can confirm that if you're in the UK both msn and skype will still work perfectly once you have debranded from 3 . I'd imagine the same would be true outside of the UK too , as long as your using a 3 sim card i really cant see a problem .

Hi. I'm assuming your phone is rooted? If so, download ROM manager, and you can preserve the ROM from there...
To view stock ROMs please visit samsfirmware<dot>com and download the ROM you want i.e. version, brand (network specific), country etc.
I'll be honest, haven't once regretted upgrading to Froyo. For more information on upgrading see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=778880

This does not work for me - it installs nicely, and the phone seems rooted. When I started Titanium Backup, the screen froze. After rebooting the phone the phone wasn't rooted anymore. Weird. Tried z4root, didn't work either. This on a new 2.2 phone.
can i ask U where can i download and install android 2.2 for my blade?
thanks.
Modified z4root where permanent root works! by kallt_kaffe
but it seems to be just another custom rom, isn't it? i just wanna have android 2.2 and dont loose assurance... i dont know if there is official release yet..
anyway, thanks
Was answering op, best bet is too root clockwork mod and flash custom, you can revert by flashing stock to which will also remove clockwork for if you need to return for warranty purposes.
ROM in sig is sweet

P.S When I try the hard reset the phone doesn't show the green android but only the FTM message.

I cant have. I used pc companion to update to ics
Post a screen shot of your TB screen please.
Mother of God...
But really, that's quite interesting. Is it a used phone? Unlocked bootloader? This doesn't add up at all. ;s
It looks like my phone is rooted. I reinstalled superuser and it works.
Pc companion must have retained the root when I upgraded to ics from 2.3.4
My phone is not unlocked and I have owned it from new.
Thanks guys for all your replies
Thats not possible , that the root always here after update! very strange!
