I just ordered my xoom. if someone from germany want to buy a xoom, at www.cyberport.de, you can buy a xoom + the normal dock and get a 50 euro discount.
you just have to put the xoom and the dock in the cart and you "GS-XOOM-DOCK" as a code at end.

Just ordered a transformer from Target after finding out thru their CS that the price on line of 449.99 on Target .com is the new Mfg Sugg Retail price They were the only one with units in stock. Amazon is now asking 299.99 for the dock. Wow they are really gouging buyers. What do you guys think about this?

Probably so but you are directed to the Amazon site for Asus EEE Transformer dock.
MSRP increase due to popularity isn't unheard of, but I think Target is just trying to cash in.
The dock prices are from 3rd party sellers not Amazon.
If they bump the price up $50.00 - it's closer to the price of the Samsung tab retail price by only 50 bucks.
The demand might drop a bit - I know I'd consider a lighter - thinner Samsung tab - if the difference is 50 rather than 100 bucks between the two.

I was actually going to hold off on the TF even with the $100 difference. What changed? The reviews of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 LE (given free at I/O) pointed out that their wifi-only unit did not have a microSD slot. They concluded that the regular black model would be the same and only the 3G models would come with it. That plus no HDMI support was an absolute deal-breaker.
They also pointed out that their units came with Tegra 2 and not Sammy's latest (as seen on Galaxy SII). It would make sense for the production versions to follow suit as well.

I just picked mine up 2 days ago, found one on kijiji here locally the person had received the 32gb thrive with portfolio case and standard dock as a gift. He posted for 500$ and I got it all for 450$. He had also installed a screen protector, I think I got a good deal.

Don't really see the purpose of the standard dock and still need to figure alot out about the transferring files between my thrive and atrix. All in all I'm pretty pleased with the tablet.

No..it ran to the end of july. It was $100 off any android tablet, with few exceptions.
2nd hands 16GB w/3G (most common) are going for an average of 350-450 (mint) incl shipping
if the seller has a paypal account that usually raises the selling price by about 50 euro. extra sleeves and SD cards also push the the price higher by 20-30 euro
(samples collected over 8 weeks, 29 sales tracked)
prices in the US seem lower
any one got an idea of that's a good resale value in europe?
considering that the cheapest you can get a 16GB w/3G and pen is 522 euro ?

I just got mine off eBay US. Paid $405 for a 32 GB with keyboard folio and dock.
I was tracking a 64gb Thinkpad on ebay and was this >< to getting it today but at the last minute I got called by my boss and didn't update the bid amount and got outbid. it came out to be 423 USD.
Would have been sweet. Oh well.

Well its official, I've joined the Thinkpad tablet family.
Although I missed out on the 64GB deal mentioned above, I kept tracking other offers and there was one on ebay for a 32GB Thinkpad with keyboard folio, dock and stylus. All for $425. Considering that if I had bought it on Lenono it would have costed me $759 I think its a steal.
It should get to me by this Friday. I can't hardly wait.

I just got back from my local Staples. The only one they had left was a return from a couple of months ago. Perfect condition. They gave me an extra 5% off for being open box so with the coupon it came out to $235 + tax!

For even more savings the standard dock is $9.99 at Verizon Wireless corporate stores. The HD speaker dock is $19.99 but I haven't been able to locate one.

Lucky. None of the Staples near me carry the HD speaker dock. Only the standard dock.

The Canadian Staples stores also seem to be selling the accessories on sale but not as cheap.
The Charge dock, normally 49.99, I picked up for 14.97
I did find the car travel charger for 5 dollars in a clearance bin too.

Normally I'd do that, but the GBP is more expensive than the USD and I would end up paying more of my local currency if I bought it from UK. For instance, with 17 Pounds shipping from Handtec + the price of the tablet and everything is already above the Amazon US price + $100 shipping.
