So today I wake up to see that the buttons on my Tmobile wing are not responding. I reset my phone and it went to a screen that is a RED, GREEN, BLUE, WHITE screen, Which I have never seen before.
It says:
IPL 4.26.0002
SPL 4.26.0000
I found a few helpful threads on this site, one in particular:
[Walkthrough] How to fix your bricked phone (ivanmmj)
I then began the installation expecting to be able to use my phone again.
On the Rom utility program it reads: Congratulations! You ROM update is now complete. Your PDA phone is ready for use.
What next? My phone still shows the same screen. I try to power it off and nothing happens. I reset the phone and it's back to the same screen. Not sure if there's a thread on this but I will continue to look for it. Meanwhile if anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated.
I am running Windows XP.
Active Sync couldn't connect to my phone.
Thanks!
You will need to search for instructions on how to flash from SD card.
You are going to need a MicroSD card that is 2GB's or less
Just format the card to FAT32, place the ROM file named "HERAIMG.nbh" into the root directory, turn on the phone and press the reset/camera buttons at the same time and it should read the card. It will ask you to press down on the volume slider and it will flash right from the card.
This is just a short version of the actual steps but I thought it would help get you on the right track. Good luck.
-Dan
Thanks alot, kinda new to the whole flashing my phone. Never had issues before, will go get a micro sd card.
Hopefully that works, thanks
Your welcome,
Just make sure your SD card is the standard capacity 2GB or less. If you buy a SDHC card that is 4GB or more it will not work.
Good luck and let us know how it turns out.
-Dan
Alright so i finally was able to get a MicroSD Card with a adapter due to my pc not accepting MicroSD Cards. Now I'm looking through threads (using the search option) Trying to find something that will assist me in the process. From what I have found so far, I only find guides for other phones or other ways of fixing your phone. Have yet to find one that helps me bring my phone back to life.
If anyone can, please link a thread that will help me. Meanwhile, I will still be looking for a thread.
Thanks in advance!

Hi. New here. Done this magldr 1.12 and leo70 rom but my phone playing up badly after a lot of droid and 6 and other flashes. I can't install hardly any rom any more without it - ie: stock, wm6, android, wp7 rebooting constantly for no reason etc.
Done mtty and have bad blocks - about 16 and 16 reversed. done task 28 and task 28 55aa, and task 29 as read in other threads. tried everything with different radios, different nand droid. multiple wp7-hd2 installs. but still reboots.
Any thoughts? If go back to stock+spl1.66 and send back under warranty anyone know/think if they will fix it and/or replace it? they still have old sealed replacement hd2 stock or boards much? do they do diagnostics and look at bad blocks properly on warranty return? Even on stock-rom and stock-spl still does this reboot although not as much. Worried that stock-rom wm6 will "work" too well and they won't check blocks. What about task2a? etc? Any way to install wp7/magldr and partition right so no bad blocks counted in?
Thanks very much.
Will pay for fix that works - $.

They will replace just flash stock rom and downgrade back to spl by using the hspl flasher, just select the spl. Call tech support and tell them it keeps rebooting and you reflashed stock rom 5 times. They will send you another hd2 and you'll be back in business.
Chris
Step by Step
First I am assuming you are an T-Mobile USA HD2 user.
Disclaimer: THIS WILL RESET YOUR HD2 DEVICE TO STOCK. NO HSPL
If not correct me.
1. www.tmobile.com/wmupgrade (Download the official rom from T-Mobile USA)
2. Once you have downloaded the file, extract the exe using 7z or WinRar. ( Right click on the file and click on Extract to ....) Downlaod Link Attached.
3. Reaname the Ruu_signed.nbh to LEOIMG.nbh
4. Copy the LEOIMG.nbh to your micro sd card, put the file in the root directory. (If the phone sits at the bootloader screen, try a smaller size sd card ex. 2GB)
5. With the phone off , hold the Volume Down while turning the phone on. Once you see the Bootloader sceen you can stop holding the buttons. ( Usually it will recognize there is a Flashable Image on the card, If not try again only this time let go when you see a Loading Message .........)
6. The phone will then prompt you to press Press power or some other button to flash.
7. Once your phone restarts go through the prompts if you want to click finish.
8. Put your device back in Bootloader Mode and Download HSPL3 (Attached Below) Next Put your device back in Bootloader Mode and Flash Magldr 1.12 & Windows Phone 7 ( Sure you know these steps, If not readme file included in the file)
9. Make sure the SD card you plan to use is in the device before you flash Magldr and Windows Phone 7. (Most are claiming a 16gb Sandsik Class 2 is working fine)
10. If you having restarts still, post what micro sd card you are using.
11. The problem lies with the Micro SD if you continue to have issues. ( Commong Windows Phone 7 issue)

tried all this, but to no avail. (on a europe htc hd2 512. 2.14.50.04 576 enabled. didnt do exactly as you stated but i did do the hd2 eur. equivalent of the steps) tried 2 microsd cards, the standard 2gb sd card that was in my phone package and a new Integral 8gb class 4 micro sdhc card. as soon as wp7 is flashed the phone reboots, magldr goes into 123456 gogogo! mode and shows dft splash screen. next, screen goes black and phone reboots. phone only loads wp7 1 out of 50 tries (avarage, went through the whole process of flashing, formatting, reflashing, etc. 6 times now) and suffers from random reboots (in sleep mode).
if you want to know how i flash leo70:
either from custom wm6.5 rom or stock wm6.5 rom:
boot in hspl2.08
run task29
flash magldr1.12
usb flasher mode
dwi.exe
>reboot<
magldr > 123456 gogogo!
dft splash screen
screen goes black
htc logo > magldr1.12 > 123456 gogogo!
and again and again until i get lucky and wp7 boots. i go through all settings, phone chevrons easily, phone installs everything easily.
phone battery goes empty/phone random reboots. and goes back into bootloop. when phone finally boots back into wp7 i might either have lost all settings (like a HR) or the phone has actually rebooted correctly and i can continue until the next random reboot. yay me.
any options? is it the microsd card? is it the flashing process? is it anything else i am missing? if it's the microsd card, i am getting an 8gb class 10 sandisk by wednesday so i can then try again. thanks in advance, i really like wp7 so i would love to be able to use it on my hd2.

This happened to me... I am on T-Mo US... i tried everyhting... all roms... hspl... stock... android... bla bla bla... but nothing worked...
and they replaced the phone for me... its your CUP i think... mine was doing it everytime i would turn on GPS or a location based service... If its been less then a year since you bought the phone it should be a free replacement... well for me it was... and if you have insurance... i dont know how its in EU...
My phone keep restarting all the time ....before i flashed new roms and didnt work. Then i took my battery out my phone and put it back and realized that the little hinges on the right side of the sim card was bended and face out so i pushed it back and place the battery correct and phone works perfect make sure you didn't bend the little golden hinges where you set your batter at
phone in wm6.5 (custom rom dutty's ml v12 dutch) > usb mass storage mode
format drive H: (8gb integral microsdhc card) standard settings. fat32 quick format. successful
task 29
successful
magldr1.12
successful
boot into magldr1.12
option 5: USB flasher
LEO70 dfi.exe
successful
reboot into magldr
12456 gogogo!
dft splash screen
screen goes black and phone goes into bootloop. wp7 boots after 6 retries
just in case this time the bootloop is an anomaly i change some settings in wp7 and reboot
once again bootloop. stop after 10 retries without getting into wp7. reverting to wm6.5 and keep searching for fix.
note: during full process 8gb microSD card was plugged into phone.
note2: phone did see 7.23gb of free storage space in settings>about
sadly this too did not work. figure it has to be the micro sd card?
edit: @nemo0405 do not have insurance, phone has always worked properly on wm6.5 never had random reboots nor did it have bootloops. phone was bought december 5th of 2009.
@that nicca it's not a power issue. in wm6.5 i do not have any problem with random reboots or bootloops.
edit2: have yet to try 2.15 radio in stead of my current 2.14. trying now.
result: sadly no changes in bootloop.
^^^ try it bend the 1 golden hing and sit the battery on it where it dont touch and put your phone on you gonna see your phone restarting every min .....i had that problem try it see if it works
Try to charge your phone straight 24hrs.that fixes the issue for me.

Go back and put the original stock rom back in, Then start again. You only need a 2gb micro SD. Dont know why everbody is using 16g? Its only used at booting in the Leo70 ROM. Use HSPL2 and change 2.08 to HSPL 2.08. Now put in the radio. I used 2.15.50.14. Now while still in bootloader mode, put in mgldr, and then when you see the menu, tab down to 5 and enter. once you have the gogogo and then Usb..Usb now flash in LEO70 rom. Now do you still have the loopy booty? If so, remove battery and re-insert. Looping stopped? If so go and set up the phone. If still loopy, remove battery again, now take out the sd card, put batt back in. Loopy stopped? If so set up phone. and if it sets up fully, then shut it down and put sd back in. If it goes loopy, then its the sd card. Make sure sd is formatted (FAT) before hand.
Let me know

After a task 29, flash first MAGLDR 1.11 then 1.12 ...or flash directly a stock rom. I remind that i read somewhere that MAGLDR 1.12 is an update of 1.11.
Remember too, that some sd cards seem to be incompatible with WP7. I have used a 16gb Kingston class 4 micro sd and an Adata 32gb class 2 sd card. These both seem to work. Check the thread about sd card compatibility, you might find your answers there.
Cheers...
If you phone keeps restarting AFTER you have installed NAND WP7 then your micro sd card is incompatable with Windows Phone 7. Most kingston and sandisk cards seem to work but generic and other brands can have problems which match yours. Reformatting the card wont really help, you need to get a sandisk card (you can pick up a 16GB card for about £18 on ebay) and it should work fine.
Remember though that if you use a new micro sd card that you will need to reinstall WP7 via Magldr as once WP7 has been flashed it sets up the card you have in your phone in a special way and therefore you CANNOT hotswap cards after that.
Mark.

HI all. I am the OP and doing wp7 'hspl'/flasher/kitchen with other devs too; sorta know what I am doing (to a degree anyway, otherwise I pretend I know ).
Anyway THAT is what I am doing: it is being fixed at factory now: WARRANTY. No - they dont give out free phones - but 5 flashes story makes sense! I did this before even reading that post (told them did stock RUU many times). and yes, they should REPLACE your phone under warranty. also: no, not tmous and no, Sd card fine. Thanks for all response but tried everything mentioned here guys except 24 hours charge constantly. That I shouldve given a GO at least before sending in maybe. ???. Battery gets very HOT. (magldr!). battery pins are fine; done everything possible; incl task 28, 28 55aa, 29.
I even tried flashing with dwi.exe with 0kb partxx.bin files to 'clean' it as suggested here and even did task2a and recovered it with stock rom+spl (there are ALWAYS ways if you keep trying and never give up) and even done own JTAG!
Couldnt figure it out in the end as it just freezes/loops on DFT screen or ANY droid screen. Sometimes even reboots on SPL screen! dangerous hey!!!!!!!!!! (omg). even when watching cpu direct. ROM doesnt matter. multiple sd cards tried. either is BadBlocks, CPU, or contacts somewhere shorting maybe.
Ideas still appreciated PLEASE but they should replace it with new or at least new motherboard(+processor+ram) under oem warranty- thanks all. .

Thank you very much!!!
This works, but I didn't bother extracting the t-mos rom, I just installed it using the tmobile application that came with it.
I had 16gb sandisk (the one that came with the hd2) and I had no problems for 3 days. Before this I major problems pop up shortly after the first day.
Anyway, I just received my sandisk 32gb class 2, and I'm redoing all this hoping that it would work with this card as well.
Again Thank You!
Update: My 32gb class 2 Sandisk is running great!
Cheers!
Im sending my phone back to htc so I flashed back a standard rom. I thought this would remove hspl but it didnt now Im ****ting my pants. How do i get it off?
Did you flash stock rom via sd card? That is the only way that flashing a stock rom removes hspl. Otherwise the much simpler method is to rerun HSPL2 and select your original spl (ending in 0000) - assuming you can remember which spl you were on.
how do i flash the rom via sd?

Find nbh file of the rom you want, copy to root of sd card and rename it to LEOIMG.nbh, boot into bootloader and follow instructions. If it doesn't pick up the image, try reformatting sd card (preferably a small one ie 2gb) to FAT32 and retry.
Ive renamed the the file but bootloader does nothing, i only have a 16gb sd. I also put the whole rom on the card and selected it using file explorer and now the windows colour dots are just going around in a circle.
Did you copy just the .nbh file from the rom to your sd card and rename that and not the entire exe file? You also won't be able to flash via file explorer.
Seriously though if you can't flash via sd card (bigger sd cards don't alsways work - although my 16gb card does) just do the second and much easier option I gave you above, ie flash the rom via exe as you have done and then run HSPL2 and select your stock spl.
I cant do that cos now windows 7 wont install the bloody drivers lol. Im FUBAR'd
Be careful in your rom selection. This should ALWAYS be stressed when telling people how to do this. It's not simply a case of getting the one you want. You should always try to get the original rom your phone came with, or at a minimum one that the htc site recommends when you enter your country and phone serial. Flashing a bad rom via sd is pretty much the only way to brick your phone. This should not be forgotten or taken for granted.
That said, download the correct rom, rename to leoimg.nbh, stick it on the root of your sd card. Power off phone, insert sd card, hold volume down, press power.
(yeah I know clyde just typed the instructions, I just like them explained this way).

Have you double checked you card is Fat 32? I couldn't get a leoimg.nbh file recognised, until I found a similar post saying that it had to be Fat32. My card was in plain old fat...

Good point m8, I assumed that as he had already flashed the rom via exe that he had the right one. (I know that's a dangerous assumption given the level of some of the users on this site as some shouldn't be authorised to use anything more technical than a tv remote - no offence elgrego4 ). Noted and I will include that important statement in future advice given
I've just seen from your signatrure elgrego4 that your rom is listed as LEO70 (ie WP7). Did you reformat your sd card after using WP7?

Turn the phone off..Then turn it on while holding volume down. This will take you to the bootloader menu( rainbow color). Plug the phone unto your PC then flash the original ROM that you downloaded from HTC site.No need to sync..Hope this will help.
Hey man if you want to remove HSPL you can just run the HSPL program from your pc with your phone connected in bootloader. It's the same procedure as installing HSPL, but now you must select SPL 2.08.000 instead of HSPL 2.08 while running the program.
I did it this way while I had to send my phone back and had no problems with it =)
You can check your SPL version in Bootloader.
yes it was fat 32, ive borrowed a 2gig so i will try that next
Its flashing with the 2gb card so fingers and everything else crossed
Keep us posted pls. I'm thinking also to bring back because of pixel error on the screen.

Pleasure m8, good luck.
Was 3.03 your original spl? If so I guess you do know it's a mission to get back to flash hspl once you get your phone back. You will first have to downgrade your rom to get to a lower version spl and then run hspl.
Hello,
this morning I had a bad surprise. My HTC mini doesn't work anymore and now when I turn on, it get stucked on three color screen.
I use the HTC Sense 3.5 rom and, until today, all works great.
I try to hard reset the phone, to reinstall the original rom, but without any changes.
I would like to try some commands from adb or fastboot, but my phone cannot be recognized from this tools. I have try to change the USB driver, I installed the google driver, but without success. Only the htc ufficial rom is installed correctly but when I restart the phone, I have always the three color screen.
Anyone can help me?
Thanks, Alex
what is your os on your computer ?
if windows 7 64 bit install usb eugeniausb drivers and use mtty (you have to select the usb port there) console. phone has to be in tri color mode.
send "task 2a" to the phon, it should format nand and restore radio.
had this problem too, that was the solution
My OS is Windows 7 x64.
I have tried your drivers and now I can send commands with mtty.
I send the command that you told me and in the screenshot that I have attached you can find the results. Are errors normal??
My phone is always in three colors screen.
I must send other commands?
Thanks for the help.
yes, bad blocks are normal.
when you have finished restart the phone and flash official ROM for your device !
Thanks for your patience.
I have flashed the original rom, the whole process works fine, but when the phone is restarted (after completed the installation) the three color screen returns....
hmm, you could try task 28, task 29, then task 2a...
dont remember, i think i have used all of them
No success....:crying:
The three color screen is always there...
what does it show ? (best would be a picture of the screen)
In attachment a picture of the boot screen.
As I say in the first post I didn't do nothing for brick the phone. I only turn off the phone yesterday, and this morning I only turn on it.
Are there some commands that I can use in mtty to understand why the phone is bricked?
Thanks again.
hmm.. everything looks as it should..
i am out of ideas.. what about trying to flash a newer firmware ? (1.07.xxx is pretty old)
I have tried with a new version, 1.36 if i remember well (I don't have the phone here now), but the result is the same.
Anyway thanks for your support. I'll send it to the techinical support or I'll buy a new device.

I can see your phone hang on spl 1.07 so mean your ruu not installed 1.33! I domnt think that your phone is bricked but I think you have not installed rom (fully) by RUU (mean all parts from ruu). I never success trought ruu (only if my s.n. match ruu! So you need to have gold card in order to install rom (nbh)! Your hboot is all time 1.07 so that mean you done installed only rom parts instead of whole RUU... so definitely you need gold card and you need to reinstall rom by sd card! Of course, always "task 29 than task 2a" before everything
How can I create the gold card?
Is there a tool that can I use?
Thanks!
EDIT:
Now I've a GoldCard, but what file I must copy in the card and what name must have?
I have done several attempts, but I receive always the message "no image file"

Ok, I understand, and so I have a wrong gold card.
I have another WinCE Device and so I could build a correct gold card.
Can you provide me more information? How can I create a gold card for WinCE?
After creating the gold card, what can I copy in the SD? The .nbh of the official rom?
Thanks!

You need revskills software for generating gold card for wince but free version only can read sd card cid, but if you no want to buy it I can generate one for you, just send me cid and I will generate! Chose photon in menu! Do not reverse cid! Search for right cid (you can see many cids but only one is right so see right disk size that match size of the your sd card and copy that cid!!!), than send me a cid by pm and I will send you back file!
About nbh, yes! You need to extract nbh file from ruu and rename it to PHOTIMG.nbh and copy it to sd card... reboot phone to spl and installation will update your photon (but only if gold card is right)!

Ok, Thanks for the info and for your help!
When I'll come to home, I'll send my CID to you!
I finally restore my phone!!!!!
The goldcard installation works fine!
I post a small resume for others people in case the problem come out to someone else.
After the first try with MTTY I try to follow the "Goldcard way". I try to use an old SD Card of 2GB.
First of all I use the guide for Android, but the gold card doesn't works. After I use the Windows CE way with the help of munjeni, but the result was the same.
In both cases the installation fail with the message "no image file".
Finally I change the SD Card and I use a new one (4 Gb size). I follow the Android guide and in theory I have generated a goldcard for Android.
I copy the PHOTIMG.nbh file in the SD Card and the installation works!
Thanks to schlund and munjeni for the help and for the patience!
Hi guys,
So recently my screen stopped working and I need to get it fixed. I want to revert the phone back to its stock ROM but I can't seem to do that. I downloaded the stock rom and followed this guide: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wc89Gh0QpIY&feature=player_embedded
But, when I get into bootloader, in the white section of the screen it says Serial and it just stays unresponsive, it doesn't boot up like in the video. Any ideas on what's going on?
Did you rename the .nbh file to LEOIM.nbh? Also did you put thenfilenon the root(not in a folder) of your SD card? If you have done both of these then make a back up of you SD card and then reformat you SD card with a full format and not a quick format. Also the SD card method does not work well with larger SD cards so you may have to try a 2gig or 4gig SD card. Last you can use HSPL 4 to revert back to stock SPL just choose the SPL version from the drop down box when you run the installer, here is a hint the SPL's with four zeros at the end are stock SPL's.
Thanks for the reply
So, I tried reformating my 16 gb SD and still have the same problem. I then tried to do it with a 4 GB SD, same thing. So I tried it with HSPL but I can't sync the phone to my PC since it's in storage mode and with the touchscreen broken I can't adjust it to sync. I'm not taking the phone to a verified dealer so they probably won't care that it's flashed. The problem, from what I understand is that the digitizer is broken, so it shouldn't matter that the phone is flashed, right?
Thanks
You can connect it to the PC for flashing without Windows Mobile through the bootloader (3-colour screen). Just turn that on and connect it; Serial should change into USB and you are ready to flash.
About SD card method: Make sure the nbh file is named LEOIMG.nbh. The letters MUST be uppercase, else it might not work.
