#sh /sdcard/m2ldt.sh (如下图)
sh /sdcard/m2ldt.sh

Ho there, Im sure this has been posted a thousand times before. The best post I could find was s0be's fix but the instructions are not in regular English. Basically, I am unable to download any new apps/any app updates for no apparent reason. I have tried every solution under the sun except this one. Usually you guys know what your talking about so I have confidence in it.

1. adb shell
This starts an interactive shell with the device. Every command from now on will run on the device and not on the computer.
2. su
su = Super User = the highest level of clearance. Once this is called you are running as root and have access to every little thing in the OS. You are now the boss. You need "root" to get access to this command.
3. mkdir /cache/download
mkdir = Make Directory = Create a new folder/directory with the name "download" in the path "/cache/".
"/" being the master/root path for all paths.
4. chown system:cache /cache/download
chown = Change owner = Change the persons who are recognized by the OS as being the owners of that particular directory.
system:cache = the user is "system" and the group is "cache".
Every file and directory on the OS always has 3 person categories attached. User (the owner), Group(the group), All (everyone else). You can change permissions for every one of those 3 as seen below.
5. chmod ug+rwx /cache/download
chmod = Change Mode = change the permissions for a specific file.
ug = both the User and the Group.
+rwx = Add (the +) Read, Write and eXecute permissions.
ug+rwx /cache/download = Add Read, Write and eXecute permissions to the user and group for the directory "/cache/download".
6. chmod a+x /cache/download
As above, but here you giving everybody else eXecute permission only.

I had the same problem some days ago and i tried almost everything i found on the web, but nothing worked.
At least i solved the problem replacing the market app (vendor.apk) with a most recent one.
To do this you need a working vendor.apk (i grabbed from a most recent rom) and a file explorer who can use root to copy file in /system/app (like ES File Explorer or Root Explorer).
Now simply replace vendor.apk.
This worked for me
Or you could just re-install it.
Use my APK installer tool and check the "re-install" box.
This will overwrite the apk file but not mess with the configuration...
Just like what you suggested :0)
yes sure, nice tool mate
Thanks for all your help!
Thanks for all the help! I did what you suggested and tried to replace the android market with a newer version. I couldn't do a direct install with a new APK, someone said you have to uninstall the old APK. I decided to try just flashing a new gapps; I got the files from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=909067
It worked. The new market was able to update my apps successfully.
You guys rock!!! Thanks again!
no problem mate, i got crazy for the same problem last weeke so i'm happy to share the solution
Would it work if i do the same for "download unsuccessful. please try again" problem ?
the "please try again" problem should be a connection problem I suggest to check your wi-fi or apn settings
I made it just a minute ago.
-- Unmount SD Card. (Settings - Sd& Phone Storage)
-- Install any app from Market. (It will install without any error.)
-- Mount SD card back. And ta-daaa! You can install any app from market now.
Thanks anyway

A Guide for the Laymen MacOS User
Read In Rich Text:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/15XYKWyjvfHr4pAV5Wtxlt_4KsM-ykmQ4pvLhOt_mzlM/edit
This began as a personal list/guide for myself since much of the info was scattered across the XDA forum and some other websites. I'm still tweaking the guide on my laptop but if anyone thinks this is useful I'd be more than willing to update it here.
I just have some questions listed below as well as a general wonder if anything I'm doing isn't that efficient. Cheers.
I. Questions:
I.A. What Apps should I use on an unrooted Defy for backup?
I.B. Which SBF do I have? (Out-of-the-box)
http://sbf.droid-developers.org/umts_jordan/list.php
I.C. Is there a way to batch restore APKs on Mac like the Windows APK Batch Installer?

http://www.droidsector.com/blog/2010/06/23/easy-way-to-install-apk-files-using-android-sdk-for-mac/
I.D. Is it necessary to know what color the lens is? Is knowing the camera module enough?
In the Beginning…
II. Rootin'
II.A. Prepping for Unrooted Flashin'
II.A.1. Copy down your SBF info (See I.A.)
II.A.2. Find out which Defy you have:CatLog
II.A.3. Android Development Bridge (ADB is found in the Android SDK)
Download Android SDK http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
Drag her into a location such as Applications/Android (The location is of your choice) & unzip. Open the newly unzipped folder "android-sdk-macos" then open "tools."
In Terminal drag and drop "android" located in tools so the command looks like:
$YOURPATH/android-sdk-macosx/tools/
We will write a shortcut so that ADB can be accessed anywhere. In terminal enter:
$ open ~/.bash_profile
.bash_profile should have been opened in a Text editor. At the bottom enter the following(Remember to replace "$PATHto/xxxx" with a drag and drop of the directory):
export PATH=$PATHto/platform-tools:$PATHto/platform:$PATHto/tools=$PATH
i.e.
export PATH=/Users/BobDole/Android/android-sdk-macosx/platform-tools:/Users/BobDole/Android/android-sdk-macosx/platform:/Users/BobDole/Android/android-sdk-macosx/tools=$PATH
Save the file and jump back into Terminal. Reload the sucker:
$ source ~/.bash_profile
In Terminal open up the SDK by typing:
$ android
Press enter. this will launch the SDK Android Manager. Find the folder named, "Tools;" tick it and click the install button.

II.A.4. Create a folder on your Mac to organize all your Android files. i.e.
/Users/BobDole/Documents/MotoDefy/
II.A.5. If you have been using your Defy, you will probably want to save your text messages, phone calls, photos etc. Make , non-root Apps and do a manual backup:
SMS Backup
Call Logs Backup & Restore
Source: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Mo...efore_you_do_anything_.E2.80.94_Make_a_backup
II.A.6. Getroot (Contains):
busybox, copy_rootfile.sh, getroot.sh, rage.bin, su, SuperUser.apk
II.A.7. Your MOD (and any extra files)
II.B. Backup (Unrooted)
II.B.1. Optional: Preform SMS Backup & Call Logs Backup
II.B.2. Duplicate entire SDcard via mounting on a Mac.
i. Plug Defy into a Mac
ii. Defy will now have a new notification at the top, open it and select Memory Card Access.
iii. Right click (or option + mouse-click) and select duplicate.
iv. Relabel as you like and put her into you android folder for safe keeping.
Source: https://motorola-global-en-uk.custh.../defy---transfer-files-from-phone-to-computer
II.C. Rooting
II.C.1. Mount SDcard (if not already mounted) See II.B.2.i.
II.C.2. Extract Getroot.zip and drag unzipped contents onto SDcard. Once done, Eject SDcard.
II.C.3. Change Defy's USB connection to "None."
II.C.4. Go to settings - Apps - Development - USB debugging. Turn this on.
II.C.5. In terminal launch adb:
$ adb shell
Launch getroot.sh by typing:
$ sh $SDcardNAME/Getroot/getroot.sh
Re-enter ADB:
$ adb shell
"$" should now be "#." Time to copy some files including the recovery tool (up next):
# sh #SDcardNAME/Getroot/copy_rootfile.sh
Reboot!
# reboot
This should have Clockwork Recovery load on reboot. Continue to II.B. Flashing to add ROMs and Mods like CM7.

III. Flashing
III. A. Prepping for Rooted Flashin
All You Need:
Titanium Backup https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup
Your ROMs & MODs
Place them on your SDcard in an easy to find place. (Refer to II.B.2. i - ii for Mounting SDcard instructions) I'd suggest placing them at the root unless you plan on keeping them, in which case I'd place them in a folder designated for ROMs and Mods, i.e.
/SDcard/mods
The Mods and ROMs can be removed after flashing them but you may wish to keep them in a folder for quick flashing between ROMs.
III. B. Backup (Rooted)
III. B. 1. Titanium Backup
Open 'er and in the upper right corner select Batch Backup/Restore - All button, the paper with a check mark onto. (See Image 1.)
Under Backup, find Backup all user apps + system data and press RUN. (See Image 2.)
"Pause active apps" should be ticked.
Press Select all.
Press the green check in the upper right corner to begin backup.
III. B. 2. "Nandroid" Backup - via Clockwork Recovery
Reboot your Defy
Upon reboot when the phone flashes the Blue LED, press Volume Down to load the Bootmenu.
Using the volume buttons to navigate; press the power button to select Recovery > Backup and restore > Backup (All). This will take a few minutes (depending on how much is on the phone and SDcard.
Reboot after backup unless you're installing ROMs/mods.

III. B. Flash! Installing ROMs & Mods
III.B.1.
Go to Bootmenu
Recovery > Backup and restore
Wipe data/factory reset
When done, Wipe cache partition
When done, Instal zip from SDcard >Choose Zip from sdcard>Your ROM/mod .zip
When finished with all the installs select Go Back and reboot the phone.

IV. Apps of Interest
As of 2012-10
Here's the few essential and near-perfect apps:
AdAway
Blocks a great number of ads in and out of Apps. You can also customize which URLs to allow or not (white listed).
SwiftKey
I don't use too many of the type-saving features (which really are great) but the amount of slight adjustments like key height in Landscape gives the text half an inch of space! That and it's seamless (so far).
Apex Launcher
It's hard to find a smooth Launcher. Apex isn't perfect but it's the closest I've come to finding one with the most space-saving, shortcut-creating, quick-loading, customizing-featured launcher.
Turntable FM
Want continuos music… with no ads? Interested in discovering new artists or songs every time you jump on? Turntable FM has "rooms" which are entirely dj'd by it's users. If there's an open spot feel free to jump on and upload your own tunes! Just make sure you stick with the style or else you'll get "booed" off. It's a great lil' music app I've run on my laptop's browser for a good year now. It can be tempting to take part in the community but even just being a listener and grad a song here and there makes this app so great.
Tasks
Need a quick and easy To-Do list? Hook this batboy up to your Google account and have them sync back and forth. It'll only take 15seconds to add a new "task," and if you put the widget on the desktop, it only take one second to mark completed. This also allows for different lists, notes, due dates and reminders (reminders are only on the app, not on Google's.)
Solid Explorer
The only file browser you'll need. can be very simple but offers so much for such a clean app? I'll take two! Oh and you can swipe between two "windows" and drag and drop!
Honorable Mention:
Photoshop Express
Manually adjust the exposure, saturation, tint, "Black & White," contrast and brightness. Crop, straighten, rotate and flip. The basic adjustments to make your image pop. If you want auto settings like InstantHipster, I mean Instagram, try Streamzoo. Lot's of great auto settings but also offer some manual adjustments. This is the closest app I have found to manipulate photos the way I do… which isn't as close as I'd like but the closest yet.
Currents
I haven't spent much time finding a good RSS reader but Currents works just fine for me so I haven't done too much searching. Plus she's pretty minimal and to the point.
V. Notes & Terms
Terminal Commands
($ represents the username you see, merely a place holder for each line of commands you will type into Terminal. Wait for $ or # to appear before entering new commands.)
Device Identification
SOC or BAYER Camera Module?
a. Install CatLog
b. Open & your camera app.
c. Open Catlog and "Search Logs for SOC, BAYER or Camera
d. If nothing is found try reopening the camera app and repeat these steps.
Model Number MB525 or MB526?
a. Open settings > About Phone > Model No.
b. MB525 is a Defy. MB526 is Defy+.
Manufacturing date: Late January or Later are Red?
a. Look at your battery.
b. There's a Thread about what each letter/number means.
SBF info?
Rooting
Android Rooting is the process of devices running the Android mobile operating system to attain privileged control (known as "root access") within Android's subsystem. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rooting_(Android_OS)
Hey guyz, my query is regarding the hidden C:\Program Files\WindowsApps folder which stores all the downloaded Windows Store Apps. Today as I had some issues with the Zune Videos app, I decided to uninstall it. After uninstall I usually manually check for left over files using the search utility. To my surprise I found that though windows had removed the videos app, related files were still lurking in the aforesaid foler along with files belonging to previously uninstalled apps. Now, the leftover files are taking up a lot of space around a GB of data. Is it safe to manually delete these folders and files belonging to uninstalled apps? Is there any utility that searches and removes such left over files?
Thnx!
Even if you uninstall preinstalled Microsoft apps ( and maybe other apps installed from store), they still remain in that folder, taking up a lot of space. I got the right permissions to enter the windows apps folder, but I cannot delete uninstalled apps, I need system permissions but it is hard to grant them, I read about using a boot linux distro I can do it. Anyone know how to delete those apps?
Inviato dal mio GT-I9300 con Tapatalk 2
OK, first of all, search before posting. This topic has been discussed to death.
Second, the reason for the old versions sticking around is because a new user account always has those apps pre-installed; if you delete them it breaks things.
Third, you can delete them easily by taking ownership (must be Admin to do this) and them editing the permissions. It's also possible to run a shell as TrustedInstaller, but that's a mess by comparison.
Sorry for noobishness, but what exactly are u referring to when u say a new user account? Is it a fresh windows install or creating a user from within windows? Also what things could break exactly?
Creating a user from within Windows... You may have heard of these things called multi-user operating systems? The NT family (including RT) supports multiple users. Your tablet sets up one user on initial configuration, but you can add more. Each one has its own username, password, home directory, etc. Each one also has its own Windows Store apps, but the binaries are all stored in the same place (C:\Program Files\WindowsApps).
Best case, the new user would either have a broken tile on their Start screen or would just not have access to one of the apps that is supposed to be present by default. Worst (likely) case, creating the new user would fail partway through, leading to a corrupted security configuration and registry. The real result is probably nearer the best case than the worst, but without testing - something I'm not going to do on my own hardware purely to satisfy curiosity - I can't say. It would be putting the system into an unexpected state, a condition outside what the developers likely ever planned for, and at that point the best you can hope for is a graceful failure that doesn't take anything else with it.

So after being told it could very well break things you still want to do it?
Is your HDD really that small that a GB is a noticeable loss when it comes to the piece of mind that your system will work correctly?
Here's one way using the commandline:
Press Win-X, run "Command Prompt Admin". Enter the colored text commands into the CMD console (copy-paste if you're a CLI newbie):
C:\Windows\system32>takeown /f "c:\Program Files\WindowsApps" /r /d y (take ownership of folder)
C:\Windows\system32>icacls "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps" /grant administrators:f /t (give yourself full access rights to folder)
Now you can delete stuff in the folder. Let's nuke a Zune folder. I hate those ad-ridden crap anyway.
C:\Windows\system32>cd "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps" (change directory to said folder)
C:\Program Files\WindowsApps>dir/a/p (list folder content, pick a subfolder to nuke)
C:\Program Files\WindowsApps>rd /s/q Microsoft.Z<Tab>
CLI trick: Press Tab for filename completion. If more than one file fits the match, successive Tabs will cycle through the names. This shortcut is a lifesaver for CLI peeps. Anyway, so we get Microsoft.ZuneMusic_blahblah. Press Enter to kill ZuneMusic folder. (Yes, it's a dangerous command. Disclaimer of responsibility goes here.)
Suffice it to say, set a restore point beforehand.
After-action report: OK so after nuking the ZuneMusic folder, I made a new "Test" user. On the Start Screen (which I never use) I get IE, Store, File Explorer, and Desktop. This mirrored what I had on my main acct, so seems pretty normal. I then went and install the free MS Solitaire from Win Store. Works. I'll try nuking the rest of the Bing/Zune/Xbox crap and see what happens. (Yes, I backed up.)
AAR 2: OK I went and delete a bunch more stuff, including MS Solitaire folder I just installed. Went back out to the Start Screen and clicked on Solitaire tile. It went into a blank screen and bounced back out to the Start Screen. Right-click, Uninstall, and tile gone. No problemo. Went into Store again and install MS Mahjong. Works again.
Seems pretty cut-and-dried.
Ah cool, thanks for testing!

hi,
syntax error for me
Microsoft Windows [Versione 6.2.9200]
(c) 2012 Microsoft Corporation. Tutti i diritti riservati.
C:\windows\system32>takeown /f "c:\Program Files\WindowsApps" /r /d y
ERRORE: Sintassi non valida. Il valore 'y' non è consentito per l'opzione '/d'.
Digitare "TAKEOWN /?" per informazioni sull'utilizzo.
C:\windows\system32>
translation : sintax error , y is not allowed for option /d
please help me i have a very small ssd...
It's a localization error. /r recurses on all subdirectories, and /d y (y for yes) bypasses the prompt to act on each subdir. My guess that you'd want to use /d s (for sì). Alternatively, you can leave out the /d y, and just confirm for each subdir.
To get parameter description for takeown or any command, enter at the prompt command /? > C:\command.txt, so for takeown, enter takeown /? > C:\takeown.txt. Then peruse the text file with Notepad.
If you have limited space want to minimize Win8 footprint, there are more substantive means to do so. One is to manually set a smaller pagefile with a WMIC command (subject to localization differences):
Set pagefile: wmic pagefileset where name="C:\\pagefile.sys" set initialsize=1024,maximumsize=1024
Check pagefile: wmic pagefileset
Reboot for it to take effect. The above sets pagefile to a fixed 1GB size; you can adjust to taste. You can of course adjust it via the usual GUI route.
Second is to reduce or remove the hibernate file. For a desktop, where power isn't an issue and you don't reboot often, my suggestion is to disable hibernate. When hib is disabled, fast boot is off, and booting will take slightly longer.
Disable hibernate: powercfg -h off
For laptops, you can reduce hibernate file size by up to 50%.
Set hibernate size to 50% of RAM (50% = min): powercfg -h -size 50
Personally, I also removed all the "reserved" partitions, and handle my own backup/restore with 3rd-party tools. For a tablet with SSD, this can recoup substantial space. But it's more involved, and best done during a fresh install.
Thanks very much I 'll try your tips and I 'll tell you.
I just reduced hibernate file , I can't touch recovery partition because I have a tablet that does not boot from external usb, you understand. Therefore I need a big pagefile, I have only 2 gb ram ...

Great, it worked!
I want to add, after the first two steps, you can delete-modify every single folder via explorer . No need to use command line
Thanks

Suffice it to say, set a restore point beforehand.

i type the two first commands but it still says access denied. what should i do?
Hi,
I use Watchdog which alerts me when processes use a lot of resources. Recently, a process ".LSBackgroundService" has been popping up soon after a reboot. I've searched high and low but can't find anyone mentioning that process anywhere. I looked for apps on my phone that have something like LS in the titles but found nothing.
Killing the process doesn't help; it just restarts itself. Also, I have a rooted SM-N900V (Verizon Note 3) running Kit Kat 4.4.2.
Does anyone know what this process might be or how I can narrow down the culprit app?
Thanks!

Apps and the system itself generally have pieces of that run checking for events to happen. Each program can name those services anything they want. For example, an email program can check to see if there's new mail every so often even if the mail app is not in the foreground. Most, if not all services do not have a user interface, thus you can't interact with it.
There's an app on Play called Disable Service that can show you which app has what background services.
You could use something like that to check to see which app spawned the .LSBackgroundService

at the end of the day, all those apps/services are just processes.
More importantly, every package (or groups of .apks which declare the same "sharedUserId" and are signed by the same key) have a distinct user identity "silo". That's the basic Android security paradigm.
So why not just do a "ps" command, find the service process in that list, and then match the "u0_aNNN" identity of that service to it's package? **
Hint: look at the 2nd column of /data/system/packages.list ; it's the numeric value of the user ID (=uid)
So for instance, "u0_a80" (what you see in the ps output) == "10080" (2nd column of /data/system/packages.list).
Find the process -> find the symbolic userid -> 2nd column of /data/system/packages.list == package name.
From the package name, you get back to the APK name with:
Code:
pm list packages -f
It is helpful in all of the above to know what "grep" does.
In this strategy, one possibility is that the user name is "system" - in which case there are probably many many .APKs involved (in either /system/app or /system/priv-app) all which share a common "sharedUserId". But at least at that point you have eliminated all market apps.
There are some market apps that let you browse the manifests & look at service definitions of installed apps - market apps for sure ( but possibly not every one of the system pre-installed apps. )
If you are root however, you have access to every last .apk on the device. If you have the patience you can certainly:
- grab all of the apks and move them to a PC
Code:
adb shell
su
mkdir /sdcard/all-system-apks
cd /system
find app priv-app -name '*.apk' -print | while read fnam ; do cp $fnam /sdcard/all-system-apks/ ; done
exit
exit
adb pull /sdcard/all-system-apks/
- extract the (binary) AndroidManifest.xml file (using "unzip")
Code:
ls -1 *.apk | while read fnam ; do
unzip $fnam AndroidManifest.xml
bnam=`basename $fnam .apk`
mv AndroidManifest.xml AndroidManifest-${bnam}.xml
done
- convert the AndroidManifest files from binary format to plaintext:
Code:
ls -1 *.xml | while read fnam ; do
java -cp /home/user/AndroidXMLDecompress [URL="https://pastebin.com/raw/feuwAKCf"]AndroidXMLDecompress[/URL] $fnam | sed -e 's#>#>\n#g' > plaintext-$fnam
done
- if you know the service name you are after, then
Code:
find . -name 'plaintext-*xml' -exec grep -l $SERVICENAME {} \;
Now, who's afraid of the command line? ***
** if you can't resolve something to a single entity, you can still use process of elimination.
*** even if you are a Win-doze fanboi, you can still use cygwin for all of this.
Hi,
Beep'nGo is not supported anymore.
But it's not clear what app could be used instead which would be compatible with preinstalled Beaming Service for Samsung.
Samsung Pay is not available World Wide. App even can't run if installed from apk.
What about other popular Loyalty Card apps? Which apps use Beaming Service?
Thanks.
Beep'nGo still working
I think Beep'nGo was the best loyalty card app. I have a Galaxy Note 3 and even though the app was discontinued earlier this year it still works on my Note 3. I can still add cards locally to the app and the beaming still works. I have been trying to figure out the file structure so that I can preserve the functionality in case something happens to the phone. I have searched the folders and I can't find a mobeam, beepngo or derivative naming file structure. So the question is how does it work. Where are the install files. Any ideas?
the app is still working ,sort of.
if its already installed, it works fine.
But ive just got a Note 8 & unable to use the app so far. Im gutted & I love this app. It works great all the time o my other devices.
I just cant log in at since installing the app.
I get an error 'you are not connected to the internet'. Ive tried all sorts with no luck.
I also tried to find the data file for the app, I found the file for it named COM.MOBEAM.BEEPNGO, then theres a sub folder named CACHE, but thats empy!
Im at a loss how to log in and get this app working on my new phone. Its frustrating as its perfectly fine on my S7 Edge, but I need to give that phone to my partner soon.
someone here must know something on this surely?
Im not in USA so cant use samsung pay or those affiliated apps
pinkbellbird, you can't logon becuse app is discontinued. Nowere to logon. No coud backup.
You can use it by adding new cards every time you reset to factory. Otherwise it's working.
I have Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and love that app, using it all the time. Also I use Titanium Backup for it and restore data every time I play with roms or reset to defaults.
Would like to know if there is alternative for this app that use beaming though.
Samsung Pay is the only other app that I have read of that includes the beaming tech.
As I do not have a Samsung at present, I would be quite interested to know if something is available for phones, at large, that incorporates the beaming tech.
If there was a way to make Samsung Pay work in my country.

Beep n go on S8
I had the same trouble with my new S8. Just install the app sending it via Bluetooth from old to new phone and then scan the cards directly with new phone from old phone as it was physical card. Then installing widget on new phone you will bypass the logon error.
Still no one found a way to export the cards stored into discontinued Beep n' Go app so they can EASILY be imported into other apps like... Samsung Pay?
We find ourselves in the same position as you. The way I managed to solve the problem, now that I am one step away from making the change to a note 8 (from a note 3), it is to make a copy of the system and user data with the Note root and using the Titanium Backup, and the new phone will reload the Beep'N'Go program. With total reinstallations of Note 3 it has worked, I hope it also does note 8!
Steps to migrate BeepnGo including data from old to new phone
install ADB ( developer.android.com/studio/command-line/adb ) on your PC
Open cmd window in the folder where ADB is located
on old phone: enable USB debug option in developer options
connect old phone to PC ( watch for question popups on phone and answer them)
check if phone is visible to adb : adb devices
commands:
adb backup -apk com.mobeam.beepngo ( watch for question popups on phone and answer them, if your phone is encrypted it will ask for a password (use simple password like the letter 'a' . This command will create a file backup.ab in the current folder)
[the previous command should have backed up the apk as well. However on my phone this did not work so we need some more steps to copy the apk too:]
adb shell
pm list packages -f | grep mobeam
will show the path where the application is stored (in my case:
package:/data/app/com.mobeam.beepngo-2/base.apk=com.mobeam.beepngo )
copy the apk to a folder which is visible on PC:
cp /data/app/com.mobeam.beepngo-2/base.apk /storage/self.primary/Download/beepngo.apk
exit
(you are back at the normal cmd window prompt, don't close the window yet)
Now on PC open windows explorere, navigate to your phone devices Download folder and copy beepngo.apk to a folder on PC
Disconnect old phone
on new phone: enable USB debug option in developer options
Connect new phone (watch for question popups on phone and answer them)
Copy beepngo.apk to the Downloads folder of the new phone
On phone use file manager, navigate to Downloads folder and run the beepngo.apk to install beepngo
On PC go to the command window:
check if new phone is visible to adb : adb devices
adb restore backup.ab (this will restore the beepngo files, watch for popups on your phone and answer quesitons. if you had to enter a password for encryption, please enter the same password again )
Start beepngo and the data from previous phone is visible
 :victory:  :victory:  :victory:
OH MY GOD!!! IT WORKS!!!!!
so I will not have to root the new note 8! Thank you very much! Really !!!!

Are you sure that you have the latest version of MoBeam? I tested it on the latest version.
What does these command give as output?
adb shell
pm list packages -f | grep mobeam
Thank you MisterKosmos! Great help, works perfect. Looked complicated at first, but was really easy thanks to your great tutorial. 5 min work to get beep n go from my S8 to S9.
Do you think it would be possible to export the database to another format so to import into let's say Samsung Pay?
