Anyone having a problem with text messages after nodo? All my messages after nodo have started a new conversation. I updated my Phone with nodo before the ATT update, and then updated it again when ATT pushed(didn't rollback, it just prompted again).
yep, happened here as well. I did the same you did. I didn't think much of it. old messages are still present.

Anyone else have this issue? I was updating from 2.17 out of the box. Should I have updated to an earlier version first then to 3.35?
Also is there anyone that can explain repeating text messages and how it could possibly be fixed. Obviously nothing I can really do. Ive tried hard resets and rom updates nothing fixed it. It was fixed for 3 days when I was given a new phone, the messages began to repeat slowly but still allowed other messages to come, now it just repeats one message over and over. Funny how changing a phone fixed it for three days when it hadnt worked for 3 months.?????
Im at a loss. Any suggestions would be great!
ADMIN PLEASE DELETE, FOUND PROPER THREAD... SORRY
I don't know if anyone else found this problem.
I am on o2 and Friday evening installed the HTC HD2 Sim Contact update on my phone which also updates the radio.
It seems every text I sent since the update had not been recieved (although it was shown as sent). I uninstalled the update about 30 minutes ago and reset the phone and all the text were then recieved; it was as if they were just backed up.
I was, however, able to recieve texts to my phone.
Hi,
I updated my ROM as soon as it came out in January.
I have been using my HTC HD2 on and off over the last two months due to its niggles but thought I would give the phone one more chance.
To my dismay again - I having issues with sending and incoming text messages.
For example
There was about a 3 hour window today where I suspect I was not receiving any text or sending any.
I noticed this because I phoned vodafone to give me an automated SMS message to tell me how many mins I got left. But after 2 attempts and left it for 90 mins, no messages came through.
I also sent out a couple of texts but noticed the delivery reports were shown as not delivered. These were two several different people.
So I thought this must be my phone then.
I switched off my phone and back on again, voila the messages I had sent were delivered 30 secs after my phone was switched back on.
I phoned up Vodafone again to get automated text message - viola the sms came within 5 seconds.
Question
What cause the cessation of incoming and outgoing messages in that 3 hour window? Could an app/update running in the background could have caused this?
Is this a common issue even with the latest official ROM update? Is there a fix?
Please help as this issue along with short battery life is making me thing whether to get rid of phone.
But I also love the other features of the phone - for that reason I want this fundamental feature of sending/receiving SMS message to be resolved.
Thanks -rant over
that sounds just like the original sms problem.
did you use backup software when you upgraded? with the wrong settings, when you restore it can cause problems by writing back some old system files.
could be as easy as a hard reset.
no I did not use any backup software. literally just installed the new ROM and then had to install all my programs manually in again. any ideas? it does seem like the old sms issue as the problem is much less frequent but annoying nonetheless lol.

Sorry to hear all your disappointing references your having with your HD2.
I not long after getting myne when had rom 1.48 and now 1.66 never have had any SMS problems(although a fix was installed by HTC straight away apon purchase)
I then installed a app to disable Sence Sms (sorry cant find where i got it from) being processed by Sence as it created a few limitations i liked in windows sms .
Any way by shifting the total responsibility back to Windows Sms functionality > i have never to today experienced a single problem with stuck sms.
I hope this helps.
but my problem is very intermittent. could a program running in the background cause this issue
I have an O2 HD2 which came with ROM V1.43 i had no issues with sms. I installed the V1.66 ROM...still no issues! It may be something to do with your network? might be worth trying a different networks sim card to prove???
I thought the same but i have no issue with my old phone. strange huH?
I just got a text from Tmo about an update for my HD2. Anyone else get this?
Yes, there is a thread about this exact same thing on here already.
its the same update they had 3 weeks ago.
Thats what I was thinking. Thanks. Just thought it was strange it just came through now.

Im guessing they delayed the txt to give those in the know the chance to get it before the server is brought to its knees a 2nd time when the mass public starts downloading it
So SHOULD the masses downlaod and install this update? Is it worth having? And having to re-install everything?
I have applied and after i had freezes and had slow response time for most apps. I then did a hard reset which seems to have helped, running strong for a few days. Is it worth it? Not sure, but i do like the new Swype and the freezing i was getting on messages on the previous ROM is gone.
Interestingly, though I downloaded and installed the original 2.13 ROM offered a couple weeks ago on Tmo's website, I got the same txt today. When I downloaded the update 2 weeks back, it asked for my IMEI number. I thought this txt msg would only be sent to those whose IME's weren't already submitted, but having gotten the same text today has me thinking if I should re-download and install the update?
LOL I just got the text message too, as I was reading this thread
I'd downloaded the originial release, and then the re-release too, and had put in my IMEI each time. So, I believe these text messages are just going out to anybody who has an HD2 as the device attached to their number (you can verify which device is listed with your number by checking tmo's website).
Since i have updated to Mango, i receive no notification whatsoever when entering the Martkeplace if there are any updates for the apps that i have installed, so i have to manually check the version of each app installed+mplace to see if there is a newer one...anyone having a similar issue ?
Never heard of this issue before
No problems here, allways get Update messages.
After updating to Mango, I noticed that the updates were no longer coming through the Marketplace tile. However, this has started working again after the 8107 update.
Thanks for the feedback guys, looks like i'm alone in this one ( i have 8107 already )
I have already reset my phone so i guess i'm out of options

I had the same problem. No Marketplace's live tiles notifications. But after few weeks, suddenly everything srart working. So maybe you have to wait. (It was with Vodafeone-DE firmware)

It worked for me after mango and then suddenly stopped working. On vacations I deactivated my data plan and I never got the app upate notifications via WiFi. However, I reactivated my mobile data plan today and I got the notification of 19 updates immediately!
I have a Vodafone DE branded device with 7740 update.
Sent from my LG-E900 using Board Express
Hmm so there seems to be a bit of hope though, i'll consider re-flashing if there is no improvement in the next weeks..
same here
but u can update the app if you find it in the marketplace... hope this will be fixed, but when i see how lg is working on it's updates i don't think it's gonna happen until there is a major update (tango maybe). they are doing the same thing with the wifi tethering update (i busted my ass trying to get this but i can't). seems like lg doesnt care about it's users very much...
@muggs_ro
i left the 3g internet on for the night and this morning i got a notification about 28 updates. apps updated with no problems. check if it helps...
All of a sudden without doing anything i started to receive update notifications since yestarday...weirdest bug ever
