Hi Guys,
Just posting this here so you don't have to sort through the 38 page thread to find it
DISCLAIMER: This is not a ROM or Kernel update, simply a theme to make it LOOK like it
http://www.apksmash.com/x5/GB.zip
To install just boot in to recovery and choose install zip from SD card and navigate to the folder. Install and enjoy
WARNING!
Currently the menu items are black text on black backgrounds but the clock is back in this version (as opposed to earlier versions)
I recommend doing a backup prior to installing this theme.
Would be nice with a few screenshots here. Any possibility of you making some and posting them?

Applied the theme to my AU Roadhound phone. Some word appear black on a black background like "USB Debugging Enabled" when you plug it in to the computer or when you get a new message you won't see the text in the bar. Other than that, looks great.

Some places just look a little odd:
excuse me,which rom is this theme based on?
there are chinese unicom version,Australia version, hongkong version ,Malaysia version, overseas version.
i only heard about the Australia version from u,but haven‘t seen any download link before
I believe this is for b136 (Malaysia Maxis)
Sorry for asking, but I booted into recovery and tried to install update.zip. It finds the file and tries to verify it but fails at that stage. Have I misunderstood something?
Thanks for your theme,I have already transplanted it to Unicom Rom。but I can't deal with the problem you have mentioned. But I have searched the forum。I think this will be help

nice,thank u
Think this will help with the white text:

The framework is a bit of a mess and needs to be cleaned up to be compatible with apktool, otherwise you can't change the text colour.
I did a bit of experimentation a few weeks ago but I think whenever I changed the text colour it would boot but pretty much every app would fc (couldn't even see if the changes worked) and I ended up giving up. I was able to apply some mods using the uot kitchen though which was pretty cool.
Anyone that is interested it doesn't require a programmer to do this stuff, if you're interested in themes do a bit of reading and you might be surprised what you can do.

You only can't change Buttons (Yes/No).
Check this my custom theme on attachment.
where should i copy this files, in win root?
any pics?
It was Kitchmen package, but you can install it manually.
Extract it, copy files in \amarullz_GreenBlack\files\*.* into \Windows
And change your themes in Start Menu->Settings->Today
i am also using visual kitchen, will put it in...
EDIT: well only thing i got new is scroll bar, and green selecting, can i somehow keep scrollbar and have blue selecting?
also how to get vista/win7 wait animation?

You can edit the Images. There is "listViewSelector.ManilaGreen.png" and other files ( I think you know the image will show in which area just by read the filename ). For system color, you should edit the ClassicGreen.tsk file with WinCECab Manager.
For your message box design, you can easily edit the "msgboxBorder.ManilaGreen.png", and "msgboxTitle.ManilaGreen.png".
For vista wait animation, you need to edit the dll file with reshack, try to find it, it was available in some thread..
sorry for my english
i will try "msgboxBorder.ManilaGreen.png", and "msgboxTitle.ManilaGreen.png".
but for dll, i will need to request....

Install instructions (must be rooted):
Place contents of shutdown.zip in directory: /system/media/video/shutdown
Place contents of shutdown_128.zip in directory: /system/media/audio/ui
easiest way to do it is through root explorer. Try this animation out and let me know what you think, I'm also working on a few more
wrong section.. this belongs in the Theme & Apps forum but this looks pretty good.

thanks, I did a serach for shutdown animation and all the posts were on general so I put it here
Hey I like it. Better than that pink flying around the screen crap.
Didn't work for me. Contents where they belong but the phone just shuts down normally, no new sound or animation
Didn't work for me either...
It looks like it should, but like the previous post, it just shuts down with no animation and no sound.
how are you guys getting the files in the directory?
More detailed explanation please
Hello,
I would like to put this shutdown on my vibrant. I am running Bionix 1.3.1.
I have changed boot animations many times but never shutdown animations.
Can someone give more detailed instructions please? Do I replace these entire folders with the new folders? These are zip files so should I flash through recovery?
Confused at the moment.
Or, does anyone have any great shutdown animations for Bionixx 1.3.1?
Thanks for your help.
You will also need a kerel that supports bootanimations and shutdown ones too. I found that out just recently myself as I was throwing some metroid icons and animations onto my phone.
Kernel?
I know that I can change my bootanimation, never tried to change the shutdown one.
Follow the op's instructions ...if you copy the folder then you will need to make it lower case.....also if running a custom kernel you wont get sound
Got it working I much prefer it over original bionix 1.3.1 shutdown

Hey all,
I'm sorry if this is a rehash of somebody else's problem, but I did some searching and couldn't find anything that seemed applicable to my situation.
Running Nexus S with cyanogenmod 7.1.0.1, downloaded from http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?type=stable&device=crespo
I am also running the latest ClockworkMod Recovery, having just updated it today. I updated via the internal update function on ROM manager.
Everything is working find, except that no matter what I do, boot animations don't run, and I get a black screen instead. The only time I didn't have a black screen was the first bootup after installing cyanogenmod update from sdcard via clockwork. This showed the default bootanimation. I then attempted to install the Speedo II animation from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1053250
Immediately after, I only got a black screen on bootup. I tried flashing the bluehallway animation (also from same gallery). I then tried using SDK to push both animations to the phone at /system/media. Neither worked. I also tried to use ES file manager to swap out the bootanimation files in /system/media/ manually. Neither worked.
I then re installed CyanogenMod and repeated the steps listed above. Same result.
As far as I can tell, I have been undergoing the same procedure as when I changed my bootanimation to red rage (don't remember where I got it) On a previous version of CyanogenMod.
I have no idea what the problem is. Please help!
Sounds like it wasn't compressed properly
choose STORE in compress method when zipping back your animation sounds like they chose normal compression and this causes the desc and bootanimation not to work and all you get is blakcscreen
anyways try flashing mine
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1471708
Welp, that works perfectly. Thanks a ton! So could you explain the whole compression thing you talked about?
when you compress the boot animation back up it will be on normal compression by default you don't want this. You have to select store

if you're installing them in /system/media/ make sure to not have any bootanimation.zip in /data/local/ because that's where the system look up first
Why not make your phone look awesome before you start using it?

Presenting some pattern lock mods that use vehicles from Star Wars to make your phone look...well...awesome!
If you want to use these, you can do so in four separate ways:
If you know how to decompile files (if you don't, you really should), download the icons you want by selecting one of the '?_Pattern_Lock_Icons.zip' files and add them to the appropriate 'drawable-?dpi' folder in your 'framework-res.apk'.
Or, if you don't like decompiling files yourself and you're on Android 4.1 or above, try flashing one of the '?_PatternLock_Flashable_JB.zip' files. Because of the way that Android works, I can't guarantee that this will work on your particular setup. If it works for you, your existing 'framework-res.apk' will have these icons added to it, so any other mods you may have done won't be touched. And if you flash in CWM, you'll even get a flashable backup automatically made for you!
Or, if the above two options aren't working for you, you can make the changes with ZipThemer. Just install the ZipThemer app, which you can find on Google Play, download the '?_PatternLock_ZipThemer.zip' file you want and use it.
What if you're one of those amazing, clever, innovative and incredibly good-looking people who use 'Tickle My Android', you can add these icons to your current selection. Just download 'Star Wars Pattern Lock TMA Icons.zip', extract it in 'user_files\ICONS\PATTERNLOCK\' and run the tool as normal. TMA will automatically add the icons to the list you can choose from.
And this is what they look like. Be aware, these images might be a bit large but they need to be to show off the icons properly.
Jedi Star Fighter
Naboo Star Fighter
Slave 1
Tie Fighter
X-Wing
Y-Wing
Enjoy!
A duplicate thread? How the heck did I do that?
Oh well, I'm closing this thread. If any moderators feel like deleting it, I really wouldn't mind.
So this is suppose to fix the dim capacitive buttons, even if you go to settings and put max brightness to the capacitive buttons it's still quite dim, the files are NOT provided by me and it's just for testing, original thread of this is here:
https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/...ding-issues-fix-it.108694/page-6#post-7005014
A user in my thread provided the info, don't know if valid..use them at your own risk(and report if you see anything). I've dl the files and checked the batch files, all I see is an automated way of rooting the phone ..didn't test it, so I don't know if OP provided "custom" files to enhance the brightness of the capacitive buttons(I wanted to share it and see any results if someone tries it ):

yeah this completely wiped my phone and I was without a OS on my phone, I could still boot into TWRP and Fastboot, however I cant use a toolbox to flash stock. Im guessing it locked my bootloader. Anyways after about 3 hours or so I was able to flash stock rooted through sideloading since i could still get into TWRP. Pheww thought I was done for.
Maybe it should be removed if it is that dangerous.
Transmitted via Bacon
I read on the original thread, someone took a look at the files and it seemed to be just a method of rooting, however I don't know what happened on my end. Anyways, they go on to say that they couldn't find anything would change the capacitative brightness levels. They also said beware it might wipe the phone clean haha. I didn't read it until I ran into troubles.
I might've gotten a bad download or w.e but the file size is like 800mb and came from a "drive" rather than a download site which seems suspicious. 800mb to change key brightness seems excessive
All I can do is lol, good times, good times.
I personally wouldn't trust an 800mb download to JUST fix the capacitative buttons brightness lol.
