History:
I bought a Motoroi X (the name for Droid X at Mexico) and the very same day the Gingerbread leak came out, so I installed it, sadly, it came with lot of bloadware so I wanted to delete it but I had no root to do it. Few hours later Gingerbread rooted came out and I wanted to install it but I needed root, so I loaded 340 SBF of Verizon, then updated to Gingerbread. The problem of this is that I can't program my phone anymore to work with the 3G (my carrier uses BP_C_02.02.00P baseband) and I got BP_C_01.09.07P.
The only SBF of my carrier available is quite old, so I can't load it on my phone since it becomes blicked after it (main't req'), I tried loading NANDroid backups, configure the phone manually with QPST to work with 3G but with no luck. I have a dataplan with a Blackberry but it ends next week and I need having internet for the work, help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Question:
Theres anyway to install an old SBF after installing 340 with bootloader 340?
Or there is a way to downgrade the baseband?

Hi guys, First of all HAPPY CANADA DAY!
I have a rogers branded Sony Ericsson phone with original firmware. But I have removed some bloatwares from Rogers and Golf game.
My phone have been noticing me about 2.3.3 firmware update. The phone itself also downloads, installs it. But after that process, the phone starts like normal and says "Couldn't update" message.
I tried resetting phone and tried many methods. Now the phone also doesn't display "Connect to Phone memory" in Notification area (it charges, but apparently doesn't connect to PC) :/
What's wrong?
You probably modified some of the system files in a way. Anything like removing bloatware with Titanium Backup will cause the update to fail. If you want to root your phone, you'll need to re-flash the Rogers 2.3.2 ROM back, root it with GingerBreak, and then perform the update to 2.3.3.
If you don't want to root, just use FlashTool to flash the Rogers 2.3.3 ROM.
Yeah, that's what I thought. Where can I find 2.3.2 Rogers ROM and how can I re-flash the platform? (the phone doesn't show connected to PC as well).
Do a search. There's a thread in the android development forum with the rogers 2.3.2 rom. I just flashed that one back yesterday to update to 2.3.3
I have a droid milestone 2 that is no longer getting service from anywhere. No calls, no text, data and (curiously) no ability to connect to wifi. Went to bed one night, woke up and almost called off work!!! The phone is not rooted and I still have full access to the phone so I backed up everything that is on it and factory wiped it with no luck. Called Verizon, they reset it to defaults a second time with no luck and said that it was a defect with the software.
My question is that if it’s a defect with the software, would upgrading the firmware to ICS help?
If the answer is yes, can I even do it without data on the phone?
I looked up how-to’s on how to flash the firm ware and found a wiki page that helped
wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/(deletethis)Motorola_Droid_2:_Full_Update_Guide
but this only worked when flashing to Cyanogenmod 7, the software downloadable from the page did not work with 9.
I know the apps I need is clockworkmod Recovery but I cannot install it from the app store because the phone isn’t getting any type of connection, and the version given from the wiki page can’t do Cyranogenmod 9. So I need an updated .apk file of clockworkmod recovery mod to upgrade the phone to ICS
Any help or guidance would e very very appreciated.
no replys?
Over 150 views with no ideas? Am I gonna have to send this phone to cellular heaven?
I would recommend that you SBF. You'll have to search for the one for the Milestone 2 since I'm guessing the firmware is slightly different than that of the US Droid 2.
To install a Rom like CM7 or 9 you need to buy Droid 2 Bootstrapper from the Play Store.
Thank you for the reply Mission
Per the wiki page, I am able SBF to 2.3.20 and can get CM7 installed with no problem. However, the phone did not reconnect to Verizon or WiFi. Thus I can’t buy bootstrapper from the play store as I have no connection to it. Unless someone knows of a way I can get a higher version of bootstrapper than version 1.0.0.5 (or at least a version that works with CM9) without the play market, I’m stuck ;_;
Google it. There are other sites that will let you download it.

Sorry my poor English
Try the image I made using p3Droid's app, but I will warn that if you're not unlocked it will not work as it has TWRP Recovery built into it, not stock (my bad).

Hey all,
Having a small issue with my Verizon LG G2.
When I first got it on launch, I rooted it, installed loki (to bypass the locked boot loader) and have been running custom ROMs.
This is the way I ahve been running it since, on 12B, with loki and CM11.
Before I installed custom roms I did a image backup using Clockwork.
Yesterday I bought a Droid Turbo, so it was time to restore the G2 in preparation for sale.
I attempted to restore my original backup of the stock image, but it failed (stating something about an inability to restore/system, resulting in a soft bricked phone.
I fixed this by downloading the LG Flash tool, and the stock 24A .kdz image, putting the phone in download mode and flashing it.
The LG flash tool seemed a bit buggy, complaining about not finding servers, but eventually flashed the phone with the .kdz.
Everything seems to have worked well. Root is gone, clockwork is gone, (and I assume loki is gone as well, but I can't tell) but now I can not do the latest OTA updates, and am stuck on 24A.
It's not that it downloads the OTA, and then fails to install it, but rather it complains that it is unable to download the updates at all.
I was thinking this might have something to do with the fact that the CDMA radio is now unactivated (since I got a new phone) and it somehow needs to verify with the Verizon network prior to downloading, so I grabbed a working SIM and popped it it in. Even with 4G via the SIM, the OTA downloads don't succeed.
Does the CDMA radio need to be activated in order for a phone to receive OTA updates? If not, I ahve something else wrong going on, and would appreciate any suggestions regarding fixing it.
The plan was to sell the LG G2 to pay for my Droid Turbo upgrade, but I don't want to sell the phone to someone if I think it may be having issues.
I would appreciate any thoughts and suggestions from you guys!
o7. Has anyone out there used the Moto RAZR M XT905.. more specifically, has anyone successfully unlocked, rooted & flashed a custom ROM to replace JellyBean 4.1.2
My Question:
With a few different RAZRs and their different android versions out there, I'm lost as to the specific version of TWRP or CWM I must use, and the appropriate ROOT method.
Many Infos:
This is the Telstra/Aussie version (DROID XT907 is Verizon/US)
We're still stuck on JB 4.1.2
My RAZR M is the Developer Edition, so unlocking the bootloader was no problem, as unlock code was provided by Motorola.
I then rooted and installed TWRP recovery.. This was over a year ago and I cannot recall what I used to root, or what version of TWRP I had.
Phone worked great all last year, then I very stupidly used an app requiring ROOT access that was specifically for the XT907 US version.
I lost access to the soft keys & some of the UI (I think this is soft-brick?)
My next mistake was to reset to factory settings in the hope of fixing the issues.. which worked!! but has destroyed my WIFI & Bluetooth
Both WIFI & Bluetooth won't toggle on now and are not displaying MAC addresses.. At least I can still call & txt.
After many hours of reading (which I should have done FIRST!) I found a copy of the Telstra 4.1.2 JB Firmware for RAZR M XT905. Yay.
Flashed that with RSDLite.. but no joy.. both still just as broken.. Boo.
I think that some required files have gone AWOL.. wpa_supplicant could be gone (or I may just need to overwrite it with a working version)
This means I will need to flash a custom recovery & gain root access again.
So...
With a few different RAZRs and their different android versions out there, I'm lost as to the specific version of TWRP or CWM I must use, and the appropriate ROOT method.
Hopefully someone here has the same mobile, or some experience flashing/rooting Moto's ??
Cheers
