Hi All,
I'm running Senseless / Cyanogen V1 and I really want some of my stock HTC Apps back. I'm talking Browser, Camera, People, etc.
Can anyone help? I know it's not as simple as dropping a APK and installing.

seconds if you read the whole first post, theres a download apps.zip u flash after the install of it. to get them back.

no, those are for the google apps
its not possible to get sense apps working on an AOSP rom from what i understand.

You are referring to the Sense UI. You must choose a rom that keeps the Sense UI that the Eris comes with.
The Sense-able or Evil Eris roms are ideal, but the Senseless and Cyanogen roms do not include it.
This is the fundamental debate on roms - Sense or No-Sense...

Whoa partner, slow your roll with the hash comments. No need for negativity toward the hard work done by some great devs!
Plus, you are missing the point. The many helpful devs posting above ^ have stated that you cannot install the Sense components onto a non Sense based rom. It just won't happen...
Okay, I apologize if I have offended anyone with my "blue" comment, but personally I enjoy the natural green glow of the android.
Okay, thanks for the clarification. I just wish there was somehow a ROM with everything I want.

there are alot of good sense based roms out there...you just need to use one of those ....and if you are not fond of the colors ...try using a theme to change it up....
but definitely try not to bash someones hard work over something like choice of color.....
other sense based roms (that i can think of right now)

Fresh ----- killer sense based rom and looks cool too even has a dancing Android ....
I wouldn't mind having the widgets from sense personally. I guess you can't have your cake and eat it too.

No sense widgets exactly, but you can grab Beautiful Widgets from the Market which are pretty as well.

I think Beautiful Widgets was actuall y the first thing I paid for on android
I used them before back when I first got my phone. They really seemed to lag me up. I might give them a shot again when I install White Widow/Senseless.

I think he means the UI. I could try to build a ROM based on it if you can find me a ROM from a QVGA touchwiz device

Ya i mean the UI but i got it but where to get the widgets, is quite hard...

Its fun to try, but I agree. LauncherPro is true awesomeness!
Why do people want crap on their awesome phones? Sense is x100 better than touchwiz (any version) LOL
I had TouchWiz running on it, but the app drawer eats the last line of icons on every page and i don't know how to get the icons away from there. I might try to look into the apk, maybe there are settings to change.

It probably is possible. However it's not as straight forward as you think. The Legend is somewhat built differently.
superb ui i have ever seen in android..better than iphone. porting is not fully possible........but u can make similar ui..........any way nice one....and aliba want to see this ....[a gifted devlp] [someone send a private message to him]

Because of the different hardware.. if it was easy to do so the froyo for desire would also have been ported by now

Last I saw, there was somebody in the G1 forums trying to get MIUI ported to G1. From there, since there would be no resolution difference, it shouldn't be too hard to get it onto other HVGA screens. Also, something optimized for a G1 would run blazing fast on most other devices, I assume.
Search for MIUI for HVGA screens, see what comes up and if you can find the guy. If it works, I'd love to see it get ported to my Hero.
Maybe there is some hope afterall.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=794871 - these guys are doing all the hard work resizing the images. If the ROM gets ported to G1, it should be easy to port it from G1 to Legend, right?
Give them some time... week or two... we'll see if they will give up on this or not. Converting images from hdpi to mdpi is not that straight forward job, especially with .9 pngs.

I think the only reason sense is popular is the sense clock lol. Otherwise, I personally hate it

Its popular because of sense widgets not just clock.
Personally i hate it. It hogs battery and memory and i like minimal look so its not for me

Well it isn't as easy as u think it is...
HTC has locked the sense u have to have great headache to port it
Jerplea too had many problems
I had a talk with wolfbreak and he said a sense like ROM will be amazing ....
I soon as opensense sdk is released well get sense for sure

I was being sarcastic.
I can't understand what gives someone the right to say you're not a dev without even knowing who you are. You don't have to prove anything to anyone.

Just installed the latest CM on my device a few days ago and I miss my old camera on CloudyG3...
I couldn't find any camera app with 4K and 120FPS Slow motion that works on AOSP.
If anyone of you know an app, it would very helpful.

Com'on guys, I'm sure a lot of people would LOVE to have an app like this. And I'm not a developer, but I don't think it's too complicated.
