Right i need to restore a Vodafone galaxy s Back to stock but the Firmware on Samfirmware will not let you change the CSC the 2.2 is Italy only and the 2.2.1 is German only
Help needed on this please even 2.1 update 1 will do as kies will do the rest
Very difficult to get hold of original roms .
Reason almost nobody backs up their original rom .
Your best bet i have found is use Odin to install stock Eclair then spoof firmware to upgrade to Vodaphone Froyo .
jje
You can use Check Fus Downloader to download latest stock rom. You just need to know what pda, phone, csc and product code to use.
The alternative is to spoof your firmware as the previous post said.
Have you tried dialing *#272*IMEI number# to view what CSC product codes are available?

try to change csc from phone
type *#272*IMEI#
where imei is your imei code, from there select your csc, phone will reboot and make a factory reset.
Tried changing CSC from phone..
It says "UNKOWN APPLICATION" after entering the code.
Any help corgar?
Firmware version - 2.2
Baseband version - I9000DDJP2
Kernel version - 2.6.32.9 [email protected] #1
Build number - FROYO.DDJP6
i guess this is indian version of froyo
I9000DDJP6|2.2|2010 November|Download Link1 or Link2
but i can't check if it's a full package, if not you need to flash first another full rom like jm9 then upgrade to ddjp6
Thanks corgar,
I am downloading the same package. Lets see if it has the MODEM and CSC.
another way you can take is using kies registry hack here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=835628
choose your csc and patch registry. After open kies and try to flash. But for me kies is evil i still prefer flashing via odin
after some searching product code for indian is I9000 [India] = GT-I9000HKAINU
you need to patch INU then.
hope this will help
Downloaded the I9000DDJP6 firmware but it doesn't have MODEM and CSC.
Downloaded the KIES Registry hack and Spoofed it to INU. Which you said is India.
Now KIES says Firmware upgrade is available. And its showing,
Latest Version: PDA:JP6 / PHONE:JP2 / CSC:JP5
Is it correct? Is this the one for India?
try to search in general section but i think it's the indian one.
Its kind of weird that i m spoofing KIES to India only and it says Update available and without spoofing it says no update. Kies is really evil...!
Checked in the general section. Its the same PDA:JP6 / PHONE:JP2 / CSC:JP5 for India.
Dont know why i cant update without Registry Hack.! Weird.
Thanks Corgor for your time and help.
Have a good day.!

The one you downloadedis a single package if its named JP6_JP5_U_JP2.tar. You need to put in in PDA in Odin with re-partition checked & flash.
Thanks Ragin and Corgar, the issue is solved now. I m back on Froyo.
But the usual problem of SGS is not fixed. "Lagging"! Any help which lag fix i should install? I searched a got many results but since i am new in this, dont want to take risk again.
Thanks for the help..!
Search for a kernel and flash it as pda in odin. I'm on speedmod atm. Enter recovery and choose lagfix and tweaks.

Search for hardcore's speedmod kernel in DEV. download the latest stable Odin version. Put your phone into download mode & flash via Odin. Pull the battery, & go into recovery, & apply first the Tweaks. Reboot & check if you are satisfied with the snappiness/speed. I am sure you will be. If not, go into Recovery again & enable lagfix.
You can also try Trasig's kernel based on VooDoo.
Hi, is there anyway to flash my samsung galaxy to the rom version it came from factory or the latest from my operator (Vodafone - Portugal)?
With 64 posts you should know about searching for what you need before posting. Anyway, look here. They have stock ROMs.
Ian
Flash to your operators firmware rom yes if you kept a back up copy or can source a copy .
Basic factory default firmware rom non network branded again yes but its not the network one that came with the phone .

Update it via Kies .
Your provider has 2.2
Flash Eclair via Odin go to Kies update firmware and you have a new firmware to download your official providers 2.2 .

My phone is locked so Odin is out of question.
The default phones from Vodafone come with the following data:
PDA: I9000BUJM5
PHONE: I9000BUJM4
CSC: I9000GTCLJM4
Product Code:TCL
Can you help me build an xml file to use in kies registry patch?
Hello,
I'm new here, but I have surfed through the fourm alot before I joined, seems really helpful.
I have one quick question with upgrading.
I have a Galaxy S i9000 Australia, I flashed my phone with the JVK firmwire without bootloaders.
I regretted flashing however, my phone isn't damaged yet, but when the offical Gingerbread is released, is it okay to flash from where I am? (Flash to JVB)
I don't have Download Mode since it was deactivated after the flash, but I will install if it's safe and I'm given a green light. (I don't want to mod my phone anymore after this)
Thanks and I will contribute to this fourm more
Also, after flashing to JVB, will Samsung Kies able to detect my firmwire version that way I can upgrade safely from Kies?

No Kies only detects correct branded product code firmware does not upgrade unofficial firmware .
Might be worth reading the OZ post on here as its more country and network specific .

I think to get official gingerbread you should reflash to your original network. How did updating to JVB break your download mode?
Quoting JJE - No Kies only detects correct branded product code firmware does not upgrade unofficial firmware .
I know that, but since the JVB is the legit and JVK is baseband on Kies, if I manually flash to that firmware, will Kies pick it up?
Quoting STE - I didn't flash to JVB just yet, JVK "Broke" my download mode somehow, I did install the non-bootloaders which I heard deactivates it.
I know that, but since the JVB is the legit and JVK is baseband on Kies, if I manually flash to that firmware, will Kies pick it up?
No as neither tie in to correct phone codes as supplied with your phone that Kies needs to find matching firmware .The firmware you loaded is what's called stock that is its not a from Samsung delivery method .
Stock Samsung base firmware passed to the networks to brand etc . Network then uploads the firmware to Kies .
Kies then searches your phone for a matching product code hardware id and firmware id
PC xxxx OPUS hardware XXXX Opus Firmware 2.2.1
Stock does not match the codes so Kies has no upgrade for it .

I have an unlocked norwegian SGS II that I have installed custom rom on. But I forgot to keep track on what original firmware there should be in this phone.
Would be nice to know which rom/modem/csc/kernel I should have to make this telephone back to stock. (in case of warranty etc)
Also is the csc available to be flashed into the roms I use (villainrom 2.4.2)?
The most recent official stock Norwegian firmware was KF3, CSC was either XEE or NEE (can't remember which, but from previous experience there seems to be no difference).
You can always install an older stock ROM - f.ex KE2 or KE7 from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
- then you can connect to Kies and you should get an update notification/installation automatically deppending on how you've configured it.
If you get into trouble - and you shouldn't! - I've got a backup of KF3 at home I think, I'll check it out later. Send me a PM if you want the files.

Maybe you should look in the firmware thread.

Mine NOR unbranded came with KF3 pda, ke7 phone and KF1 csc

As far as I am aware there is only one version of the Galaxy S II on the market in Norway (unbranded). It has product code GT-I9100LKANEE and the latest official firmware is I9100XWKF3/I9100OXXKF1/I9100XXKE7/I9100XWKF3.
Go to http://fus.nanzen.se and you will be able to easily download this (or any other) firmware from Samsung's update servers.
As we know Megaupload style file sharing system are closed and therefore very hard to find old stock firmwares.
I am looking "a native firmware" with correct CSC and possibility to updrade it to newest version with KIES. So, I am looking for XWJVH (SCS: XEE or NEE) and then planning to upgrade it with KIES to newest stock Gingerbread v2.3.6 JW4.
I know Samfirmware web site, but haven't find correct firmware and correct CSC (missing native keyboards and APN settings). I have used 3rd part keyboards and backed up my APN settings, but I like most the stock Samsung keyboard.
I am pretty sure that some forum member will have a stock XEE or NEE firmware what I am looking for. Can you share it? Or tell how and where I can get it?
Here you, should be everything you desire, except you'll need to use ODIN.
