[SOLVED9 - B 0.8.4 - restart when installing apps - Legend General

Dear all,
I searched the forum and also google, but no solution yet.
I was switching from CM7 n 39 to Blayo B 0.8.4. for my Legend.
I backuped everything using Titanium Buckup pro. After wiping and deleting cache I installed b 0.8 and the b 0.8.4 patch. The system starts well, but when I try to run Titanium pro it tries to install some apps but after some two or three it fails and reboots operating system (not the device itself but only the OS).
Then this happens to all installations (market or titanium). I now tried it several times (wiping, flashing...) but the behaviour is the same.
Did anybody else face this? Does anyone have a solution?
Thanks
Edit: it is not a problem of memory (internal 105MB available and I also tried with enabling a2sd and an additional 256MB partition)
EDIT-Solved Reason: problem solved usung MyBackup root

Market thinks I still have these apps installed. how to Re DL ?

On Dwangs latest. Darn thing wont ever work with nandroid. Had to wipe my EXT3 to recover an old image. All my apps are gone. I had most backed up via Astro.
BUT
Theres a handful that I didnt have but now the market says "Installed".
Ive tried clearing all caches and data that pertain to market. Reboots... no luck.
Is there a way to fix ?
And for future reference ..best way to backup EXT3 without ADB ?
Try downloading the apps on an online market, then installing them off the SDCard.
this should work.
remove the folder /data/data/com.android.vending
then restart. it should refresh you're market.
if all else fails. re-flash.
if removing the vending folder doesnt work, just uninstall the app, and then try re-installing it? if it says it is installed, this should work.
ALSO, if you're apps2sd wasnt automatic and you had not rebooted since your last install of a few apps, they might still be in your internal phone memory. a wipe of NAND and EXT might help resolve any problems if all else fails

[solved] Google Apps to Data Solution

Hello everyone:
I have a really weird bug in my Google Apps to Data zip: http://teamuscellular.com/downloads/gapps-ennonedit.zip (no it's not signed, sorry)
I have an HTC Desire (CDMA), which this is being tested on with CyanogenMod 6.1 RC & Nightlies.
What I did with this zip is simply moved the updatable gapps from system to data (so they don't take up additional space when updated), and thus slimming down the system partition for use with Firerat's cMTD (with settings of 110 5 (110 for system, 5 for cache), so that the data partition is a whopping 320MB).
Problem is: After flashing my edited gapps.zip, I cannot install any additional applications (via Market downloading, via RootExplorer installing an apk I have on my SD card, etc.). What happens is the installation process starts, but then the phone immediately reboots and I'm stuck in a bootloop.
I have no idea what the problem would be. I was wondering if maybe somebody here knew?
I'm working on a better solution that doesn't require a customized gapps.zip file, but a solution that redirects the installation process. I would like to know if there is a specific app that is causing the odd bootloop so that I don't include it in future versions.
Thanks!
~Ennon
Nobody can take a look at this and suggest what may be wrong?
Alright whatever, I figured it out.

Big Apps won`t install - Dalvik Cache mod possible?

Hi all,
my wife is (like most of you here) still in love with her kind of old fashioned flipout. She did not miss features of modern android versions/phones...until today...
She must have (wife!) this app:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.babycenter.pregnancytracker&hl=de
But it seems to be too big in size in any way. Tried removing Apps (until phone showed 65mb free), tried cleaning cache&dalvic-cache in recovery mode, even managed to get rid of motoblur (clean europe firmware), but still no luck in installing. Market just fails, phone kind of restarts. Backup apk from my phone won`t install (not enought space).
Had even tried to move all caches to sd, still no luck.
I think it must be a kind of chache size problem (dalvic or maybe app or market cache). Had similar problems on my desire when using a rom with only 5mb cache partition (thx for that great rom Adam...still running!), new hboot solved the issue.
What do you think the problem could be? Does anyone have a solution for it? Is there a way to modify the partition layout?
Thanx for all suggestions (apart from "buy a new phone" or "get a new wife"...)
T.

[Troubleshooting] Ghost Apps/ App install + compatibility isdues

I did a system+data wipe recently and reflashed CM10 + v4.zip...
Flashed minimal gapps (tejus.k.v's updated ones)
Wiped cache+dalvik.
Then I restored data from the backup I'd made before the wipe.
After booting, I noticed some apps were missing.
So I opened up Titanium Backup and selected 'Restore missing apps with data'.
Titanium Backup got stuck at restoring Viber (one of the missing apps) for 8 hours.
When I woke up and saw that the restore wasn't done after 8 hours, I force stopped Titanium Backup and tried installing the missing apps from Play Store.
>
On opening in Play Store, I get the message that these apps are not compatible with my phone. But I know that they are, as I'd installed them before.
I've just talked about Viber, but other apps like Runtastic, Runkeeper and Justdial are also giving me the same error.
>
I opened up Application Settings/ Installed Apps, and there I found these weird installs 'com.voip.viber' and such. Opening these installs didn't work, and even their icon images were missing. Some even had 0 bytes size, while some still have their original size.
So I uninstalled those nonfunctional app artifacts, thinking that this would solve my problem.
It didn't.
I still can't install the apps from market. Or from 3rd party apks. Viber troubleshooting provides an apk for people who can't install from market. Even that didn't work.

In case someone suggests that I reflash the sbf, I'd like to say that I've also done two full sbf flashes in the whole process.
After the first flashing of sbf and rooting, I installed multiboot 0.8, but I found it had only 3 vsels/freqs and no TLS/TWRP support, so I had to reflash the sbf again, coz I had no working recovery and 2ndboot wasn't working properly on multiboot 0.8.

I'm attaching relevant screenshots in case someone wants to take a look.

Please help me if you figure out a solution.

[Q] insufficient storage available CM11

hello,
I am having this problem since a week now on my Galaxy S4 I9505 with CM11 rom. When I try to install a new app from the playstore or when I try to update an app, I get this insufficient storage available error. but when I go and look how much space there is available. I see there is more then 5GB+ available in the internal storage. I read a lot about it in several topics and forums and I tried all solutions and nothing worked. I tried emptying my cache, updated the rom to the latest nightly build, emptying dalvik-cache. can somebody help with this problem. its driving me crazy
any help would be appreciated

Hi mate
Is a playstore error
1 Delete the app that is giving you problems at /data/app-lib
2 If the problem continues delete the app at /data/data
3 If problem continues delete also the app at /data/app
You may lose the settings of the app , backup app before you do anything
hello,
thank you for your very fast reply. but the problem does not only persist on apps that need updates but also on new apps I never installed before. so the app doenst have any folder in one of the locations you mentioned. and let me give you another example. I downloaded xbmc apk manually en tried to install it manually and it gave me a similar error like in the play store.

Hi
But what about the ones that need update , did you delete the folders of those to see if it helps?
Also clear data and cache from google play framework
Do you use ROM Manager to create Nandroid backups? Or ClockworkMod Recovery in general?
If so you may very well have your nandroid backup tacking up all that space.
ROM Manager defaults to save your backups in the internal storage and then hides the files so they can't be accidentally deleted.
This results in the file manager showing available space that really isn't available.
Delete the old nandroids or move them to the external SD card to make room.
