Hey guys, I recently had a 8125 and a 1 GB miniSD card and had/have iGuidance installed. When loading the program on my 8125 it took around 30 seconds to fully load into the Agree screen. On my new 8525 it takes around 3 MINUTES for it to load fully!!!
I am running a comletely STOCK 8525, and the ONLY thing I have done is CID and SIM unlock my phone. Can anyone please shed some light on this problem for me! I use the GPS DAILY, and this is the first time i tried the 8525 with the gps software and it takes WAY WAY WAY too long to load. Is anyone else getting these problems with their GPS software? Ie. TomTom, TeleNav, Destinator? Please help me out!
I'd like to know this as well, because I am in the market for an 8525 and I use the GPS almost every day as well...
close your data connection before opening iguidance.. this has been covered several times here.....
Yes its the open data connection that causes the delay. YOu can close you data connection by holding down the red end phone button for 5 seconds. Then is should launch normally.
Also if you phone makes a data connection while using the GPS software everything runs fine and the voice prompts are not slow as they were in the 3.0 version.
iNav fix one break one... I guess they will have another version out later this year to fix the slow start up...
I will say, that after upgrading to the 3.01 version. The first startup is still a little long . . about 1 min, but any startup there after only takes maybe 15 seconds! Go Inav. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but will try it out to see if the slow voice promots are fixed. Will report later

Not the same kind of luck for me. It seems to still take a few minutes to load although the program lag (once you are in the actual program) seems to be fixed.
EDIT: Nevermind, if I disable the data connection it boots up fairly quickly! Thanks guys!
im having a really wierd problem go on with my phone. i have been using fresh's latest rom and i tried the Myn’s Warm TwoPointTwo. all of the sudden im getting a triangle over my signal bar saying that im roaming. my connection has gone to hell the phone restarts now randomly. i decided to do a nandroid restore back to fresh but the problems juts migrated even with wipes. i installed cyanogen and still. the wierdest problem is that when i send a message when im with full signal i lose all my bars! literally the moment i press send i go from 5 to 0 bars and its not a death grip issue because i have a cover on. it also gets to the point that the phone crashes and restarts itself. any help will be appreciated thank you. ill try and post vids of this soon
Its probably because sprints service is down something like that but for your random shut downs did you try to full wipe if still happens im not really sure

Hi there my xda-friends!
Every since I updated my phone to Froyo (official) I've had two problems. I unrooted my phone before I updated to 2.2.
The first one is pretty strange. A friend of mine says that my phone sends him a text with about five minutes delay, which says that I have received the text he sent me. He also has a Legend with Froyo on it, but so does my sister, and she doesn't receive any texts from me (except the ones I sent her of course).
This can be solved by restarting my phone, but it begins sending "I've read your text now"-messages to my friend again after about a day. Both me and my friend have tried to remove our conversations and such, (oh, and I still see the sort-by-time bug with my texts, but I think that's because the messages-app doesn't sort my seconds, only minutes).
The other problem I have is that I can't receive calls after a random amount of days, and I can see that my mobile-internet is trying to connect, gets a connection and drops it after a few seconds, and repeats, seen by the internet-icon in the system-bar(?). Then I know something is wrong with my phone (this time, I wasn't able to receive calls).
But again, this can be resolved by restarting my phone, but that shouldn't be necessary, everything worked in 2.1!
I would like Not to factory reset my phone, if you guys have any tips I could try before I'm forced to trying force-resetting.

I think only wipe can help you

Alright. That's too bad. But now I've factory-reset it, and so far it feels a little snappier than before, and I got the new market-app with the green skin almost immediately, so maybe something was aching up
There are so much problems especially with the battery issues, but even that I can deal with
I'm having major text delay. My messages come all at once. Every so often it tells me message faileed when sending. Next thing you know I get a text from my friends telling me to stop texting them 10 times in a row.
Most of my incoming phone calls never rings and I get a text message from google saying I have a voice mail
2.2 had those issues but only every few months but not everyday and nowhere near as annoying and GB. After receiving messages 45 minutes after they send it I went back to 2.2 and everything is working fine
That's not an issue with GB. Try ##72786# followed by your MSL to reset your data profile. If that doesn't work call Sprint and ask them to do a device refresh.

Battery is really the only MAJOR problem I have.. 1% percent drain on light use..
Are you on an Airave? If so reset it. If not update Profile and PRL.

I'm not having any of these issues on stock GB. Battery on GB is better than on Froyo. I suspect you've got something constantly syncing or some other setup issue that's killing your battery. Are you on a stock rom or custom?
Google processes (talk & gmail) will incessantly sync, as will facebook. Also on GB, the visual voicemail will stay in "initialization" until you open the app and go thru prompts. Then it will restart that mess everytime you drop signal, reboot, or come back out of airplane mode and unless you go thru the process each time, it'll run in background. Beyond that it guzzled my battery too with ei22 modem even with nearly everything uninstalled... something causes the "system" processes to run the cpu away and not sleep properly (my experience)
Some are having great luck with GB. I'm having better luck with eh17 & cm7.
My gingerbread experience has been fantastic if not perfect.

Mine chews through a fully charged battery quick since the GB update.
Stock GB seams to last a bit longer than Froyo for me, and all of the custom roms I've tried so far a bit less.
Got a pair of bluetooth head phones, run the stock music app for 7 hours with BT 9 with headphones, then I hit 10% and I have to change my battery. I am having great battery life on a 1500 mAh battery.
Not bad for not letting it deep sleep all day.
i have full bars on 3g but when i go to like internet or lets say whays app and send a message the 3g bar wont load any data så i have to go to homescreen and go to the app again, or refresh the app, its really annoying and the phone is a pain to use outside wifi area, dont happend evertime but atleast 70% of all the times im using the phone on 3g
anyone? Its like data delay, it takes maybe 20 seconds for the data to start load info. Its really annoying! Anyone with the same problems?
Well, I have a similar? issue maybe. Sometimes I send a message thru whatsapp and clock shows and won't send, until a few seconds.. Or I check phone and no messages received, but as soon as I open the app I get all the messages with minutes of delay..
This has only happened with my N4, on stock rom and now on CM..
