Hi I'm new on this forum and I was trying to unroot my HTC Dream, bought on UK Ebay, following your guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=491350) but I've a problem.
When I go into recovery mode holding the home & power button it appear on my screen an image with a big triangle with an exclamation mark beside it and I'm unable to do anything more.
Anyone could help me? I tried to read some guides but I'm unable to find a solution!
(I don't now if it can be useful, but I could post the image if someone would see it)

I'm htc magic owner. I have unrooted magic didn't flashed enything, i wanted to do a backup so I entered to recovery mode by pressing a home button and than turn on but all I can see it's just a triangle with sth inside - no options etc. What i'm doing wrong??
Hidden Android Recovery Image.
Once you are brought to that screen with the exclamation point inside the triangle...
Press MENU + BACK (or HOME) and usually; give it a second, the hidden Android recovery image should appear.
I've done it several times having played with so many STOCK T-Mobile Android devices. Good luck.
It didn't worked to me... I've done this combination and nothing happened .Still triangle with exclamation
Does it show a triangle with a ! inside it? If so, what device are you using, MT3G, Ion, Vodaphone or Rogers Magic?
HTC Magic form Polish Orange network. It's 288 Mb version it shows exactly what U saying triangle with an ! inside and anything more

You need to boot your phone into a modified recovery.

Ive read the HTC Magic Hacking Wiki Page Thats very informative and a great help. Although i cant seem to find my particular answer, I have previous got to the root/restore screen via the 1click unlockr method although now i cannot get back there i get the exclamation mark and a phone icon. But my phone works fine, Is this normal.. Do i have to root?
Im a big messer and since moving to my last phone (Omnia) i love custom roms but have a habit of diving in head first, Bricked my first omnia and hate to do it to this Hagic as i love it.
Im after a good rom, Either with extensive apps** or Full Exchange support

can you get in fastboot? power off >>>> back+power on
if so, you can get AMON RAs recovery 1.2.1
then fastboot boot the recovery
then fastboot flash_recovery the recovery from there
phone is fine but if you want to put another rom you need a proper recovery

Wondering if anyone knows where I should go from following what I've done to my phone so far. Ive downloaded the Recovery flasher and installed/open it successfully. However once i transferred a Hero ROM rebooted holding home + power, I got the triangle and exclamation point screen with only 3 options. I wiped it and then tried to install update.zip (what i renamed the hero ROM too as instructed). Now i cant get back to the recovery screen with all the options and what not??? This is probably such a simple question but I'm stuck!
Any help or guidance on the matter would be appreciated.

Ive tried searching, but no one seems to have the same problem im having. I just got a vibrant yesterday, and was able to root it today. Then I tried to do the lag fix, and then it made me end up with a black screen and the 4 droid buttons on the bottom stay lite up. Then I panic-ed and found out about odin so i downloaded that and then i used EUGENE373_SamsungS_Froyo_PDA in odin, but then when it was done it just left me in the system recovery mode. I can scroll up and down but when i try to hit enter (the power button) it does nothing.

Please forgive me if this is already answered, but I searched around and couldn't quite find the answer for the Asus Transformer Tf101. When I try to boot into recovery mode (via power and volume down buttons), it's not working. I'm getting a screen with the little green android guy and a triangle above his head with an exclamation in it. Any help?
That's your "stock" recovery.
What are you trying to do? The stock reocvery doesn't do anything except look for an "update" file to apply. If it doesn't detect one you get the Android with !.
