Anyone who can provide a system dump of the device?
I'm think /system and /vendor ...
Maybe someone knows a link to a full system update available?
nandroid backups are good too

Hello everyone.
I developed a kitchen (it's already online) where you can create zip updates for a lot of apps. Before I sharing it with all you, I need to know one thing - I'm sorry for the question but I only "know" the filesystem of my phone since it was the only android device I used - it's a samsung galaxy spica and I'm not a very active user in this forum for a long time, so I honestly do not know how other devices work.
So what I need to know is: in general, all android phones have /system and /data partition, where apps are saved?
Also, all rooted devices have a recovery which accept ZIP Updates?
Thank you all.
The apps saved to data partition
and the most(if not all) rooted devices can updated via zip files.

Thanks. I just wanted to be sure.
there are a few things that differ between phone (eg. /sdcard vs. /mnt/sdcard) but I'm fairly certain that all of them will have /system and /data. It just wouldn't make sense otherwise.
Hi,
i've made this boot image for myself, it's unsecure and with the a2sd tool at boot.
I tought that someone would find it useful
cheers,
PS the .zip extension is fake, just to upload it
Hi.
It support swap partition too?
Thanks.
Just made an update.zip for sc2k's itsmagic...
its just an caller if you forgotten to include it in your update.zip or something else was going wrong
You can find HERE on github
there you can find other stuff related...
So the zip contains the itsmagic script, and when you apply the zip it applies no changes but executes the script? Great work.
Thanks. Btw, I have also made a signed zip, that contain the original kernel only.
(for someone playing with kernel and cannot boot. Of coz, itmagic is called after restore)

EDIT:
sorry dudes, last update was a big fail... it seems we must mount /system and /data before apply, i will fix it
I just read about changing the file system to F2FS, I used the JDCTeam-20170408 ROM (where they mention this change as optional)
I made before my backups with titanium root
I formated my op2, changed the system, cache, data to F2FS, and flashed the rom and gapps
First I noticed that the system partition was changed to EXT4 again, but data and cache were F2FS.
After reboot used titanium the get my apps restored, and some of them worked just fine. But games, that required large data download, were not restored at all, they freeze and even I get the large files were downloaded, after a reboot or just closed the app they needed to download again the files.
Does it means the games dont have F2FS support? Is the ROM? Did I made something wrong? or maybe the data partition need to be EXT4 as system?
Anyone that can help me please
Hi, please give me logs in PM or through any other service.

I'd be interested, but unfortunately your webserver is no more available
Can you upload your stub guide somewhere?
No I cant reupload because I delete all data from my pc . Re partition ZIP is avalaible to download from XDA and my threads . This ZIP make vendor partition . Image of vendor you must make manually with permissions .

Do you have any tutorial to point me on how to move the contents of /system/vendor to the vendor partition and any other necessary modifications (such in boot.img ramdisk/dtb) for GSIs to boot successfully?

Tutorial don't exist. You need to use zip for create vendor , next step is mount new vendor , next step is mount system and copy files from /system/vendor to /vendor partition . If you device found bugs look for lib's in system . After prepare vendor partition , you need flash GSI and prepare kernel supporting and mounting /vendor as partition . Tables of partitions in kernel too .
link deead
