i've a little problem with the camera in my application.

I've some issues with the camera. It works with my device and other two devices i use for test... samsung I5500 and Hiuwei Ideas... two cheap devices i bought for tests.... All works with mine devices, but some user complain that they can't get it to work. Doing some test i've found that the camera works on some devices if i set flash-value 2 in the camera params... now i'm thinking what i've to do.
If i cannot find a better solution i've to make a mega-if that set params depending on Manufacturer and Phone Model...
Do you have any ideas?

I need the help of the forum, I feel this could be a tricky problem to solve.
The other day I was given a new toy to play with, a Nokia digital pen (model SU-1B). It looks like it’s going to be a very useful tool for me but there’s a problem. It doesn’t like working with my MDA Vario.
I’ve done some reading and some testing and I’ve discovered that it works perfectly with phones like the Samsung D600 because they are Bluetooth “phones” but it wont work with my Vario because it’s not a phone but a “pda” according to it’s Bluetooth identity. It seems that Nokia, in it’s infinite wisdom, has limited the pen to operate with handsets that identify themselves as phones. So that means I have a problem.
I want to know if anyone here has any experience of using the SU-1B. How did you get it working?
I also have a theory that if I can change my Vario from saying that it’s a pda to saying that it’s a phone the problem might be solved. Is there a way of doing this, an application or a registry hack perhaps?

no, it won't work because the Hermes doesn't have a built in Gyrometer, the Nokia N95 does. By the way, I think that Nokmote stands for Nokia-Remote. So my guess is that it's fully adapted to the N95.
If you want a similar program, you'll first have to modify your Hermes or buy one of those adapters (though I don't know if it will work on the port of the Hermes). After you've managed to mod you hermes, you'll need to write a program based on the gyrometer.

Does anyone know of any software that would allow you to turn old windows mobile phones into remote ip webcams ?
I was just looking at the MyMobiler software and was getting excited at the prospect of using my old wm phones as ip webcams !, but sadly, there doesnt appear to be a realtime display when you go into the camera application on the phone

Thanks for that Janis, I have tried their software in the past and found it to be very unstable on my XDA exec, and have just tried their new version on my Athena, and found exactly the same thing, plus, it never seems to get the brightness right, it sets the brightness up when you first turn it on, then from then on, it is stuck at that until you reboot
But that is exactly the sort of software i am looking for, but one that actually works !!

Does anyone know if there is any software out there that would allow us to make VOIP calls and use the front camera of the Atom Life? I just purchased the Life after over 2 years of using my trusty original Atom........I had hoped to be able to use the front camera for SKYPE type calls but it does not seem possible......also must say how crap the 64mb for RAM is, My originasl Atom was great in cpmparison to the Life which seems to leak RAM at every orifice.....

I managed to find a download from www.octro.com but it is in the Beta phase and the front camera does not work yet. but worth a play if you want this functionality. Also you can try www.imichat.com but that is not to support PPC only Symbian so far but the application looks better than Octro.

I want to help a friend with continuous glucose monitoring. His pomp hardware has bluetooth and it is possible to connect it to phone. But only a few phones are compatible - Iphones and a few models of Samsung. When you don't have a compatible phone application displays error.
So, I edited build.prop and application works but I can't find CGM device. I wonder why. What is a difference in bluetooth module in samsung and one plus 5? Or maybe do you know other reason why OP5 can't find this device?
