[IRC] Gtablet IRC Channel - G Tablet Android Development

Posting this as a separate post because it appears that it is not obvious that it exists.
IRC Server: irc.freenode.net

We don't have any rules on whether this is for development versus general chat right now. Please just be respective of the room while people are working on things. If nothing is going on, feel free to chat on whatever.
If you need help, there are many in here that can help you. Just be patient, and I am sure that someone will get to you. Asking someone here for help should be your second option to using the forums.

IRC channel clarification
Just to make sure everyone is aware, #tegratab is not an XDA-sanctioned channel, nor is it sanctioned by anyone as a place to go for support on any ROM or tweak or mod you may attempt to use/apply. It is a place for conversation, and occasionally you can find someone that is able to help you with your issue. But first and foremost - the thread for your respective ROM/tweak/mod you're using is the best place to go for support - and by posting your question and/or resolution you help the other users in their quest as well.

I also need something like this. At work, if I have my work IM client open, I need to be connected to my work wifi. However, anytime that my phone is idle, it will eventually sleep and my work clients will be disconnected.
Is there any program that will allow me to choose to keep wifi on if a certain program is open? Thanks.

Hello,
PingBox2 already have that ability, if you turn the <Follow> mode on. Just type some internet address (google.com for example), and press Follow button. This will hold your phone away from standby, and of course, will keep your connection alive. Simple, isn't it?
The link for PingBox2 is here.
Best regards,
aDEO
could this help?

WM 5 & 6 Parental Controls

Hello all..
I was wondering if anyone is developing Parental Controls for WM devices? I know there are non-smartphones from Cricket that offer these software options.. But I think it woudl be nicer for my 13 y/o to have a cool phone that blocks him from making calls at certian times.. OR better yet.. a program that would let the parent control with a parental password from the child calling anyone other than in his contact list... Only people on the contact list can make the phone ring... and the contact list itself password protected too of course.... That would make me happy right there... I am sure if you limited the amount of min they could talk and such would be great too... I am just more concerened about limitng the number of contacts...
If anyone is working on this, or knows of a solution let me know.. Thanks!

[HELP] Disable windows title on taskbar.

I hope I'm on the right section here. Anyway, I'm trying to disable windows title that usually appears on the task bar. I have searched everywhere and no luck so far. I'm only able to remove it with Wisbar installed, which is really not an option for me. Also on Wisbar it's more like a skinning solution anyway not really removing the actual windows title. Is this even possible? Anyone have any suggestion on this? Thanks in advance guys.
PS: I'm using WM6.1 Pro.
Cheers.

This happens even to the more experienced members too.
Just in case it happens again, there's 2 options you could use and I attached an image with 4 simple steps to accomplish both options.
When you get to #4 (from the image), you can simply ask one of 2 things and include your reason regarding "The wrong area of the Forum" which is understandable and valid for both options.
1) Simply ask for the thread post to be closed/removed.
2) Simply as if the thread could be moved to the appropriate location of the Forum. When asking for it to be moved to an area, under a specific device, just be sure that it exists first (though yours does). it's also a good idea to provide, specifically, the device and the area within that device.
Reporting a thread/post isn't there as a bad thing. It's there to help with Moderator assistance that's assigned to that specific portion of the Forum. They are very helpful and are happy to help with these requests.
I hope i had explained this okay via text...

I DO NOT PROVIDE SUPPORT VIA PM UNLESS ASKED/REQUESTED BY MYSELF.
PLEASE KEEP IT IN THE THREADS WHERE EVERYONE CAN SHARE
