Flickering text while scrolling in menus? - Atrix 4G General

I dont know if this is just my phone or all Atrix so maybe you could help me out
If I go in to for example settings -> sd card & phone storage settings and then scroll up and down, the text gets almost unreadable and flickers.
Also, if I move the phone a bit, like giving it a twist and then look at the grey notification bar I can see some kind of flickering pattern, almost as if the pixels werent held in place firm enough.
Anyone recognize these issues?

Same for me on Stock 4.1.5.7 and on GladiAtrix2 v4.2.3.

I see it too. I always thought this was due to the pentile screen.

It could also be due the the response time of the screen instead of blurring it flickers

Mini Review

I received my phone yesterday.
Wow what colors! the black and the colors are beautiful.
However, the white, while great when looking at it straight on without tilting the phone, as soon as we tilt there's the blue tint that takes over the white, or whatever we call it =D but oh well! still a great screen.
This is the most touch sensitive screen I have ever used. I tested it by using my thumb, I don't have to feel that I touch the screen and it reacts. This is a bit of a problem since all the phone is touch sensitive except the home button..
I tried my nails also and it reacts perfectly to my nails
Hint for everyone, it's soooo easy to change the brightness! no need for a widget. You know where we swipe down the notification bar? well if you go to that area on top without swiping down but just swipe left and right instead while holding the notification area then you will control brightness from 0 to 100%, works perfectly! (Makes sure to remove automatic brightness or it won't work)
I find the screen is too sharp though, it needs a bit of blurring if that makes sense (on the letters that is, because I can see the pixels very easily) but it's pretty special to see it so sharp compared to my previous HTC Magic
Actually upon using it more I'm realizing it doesn't have the best white ever.. it always looks like there's a bit of "blueish tint" over the white =(.
the phone is sooo easy to clean lol I just wipe it on my jeans, both the screen and the back of the phone and it's wiped clean.
The vibration of the phone is very very weak. =(
The sound of the phone is loud for me.
The phone is very bright at 100% but still too bright at 0% which is a problem at night because it's way too bright, you think it's at 40% when it's at 0%. but that's fine still =)
I think sometimes that the phone doesn't save some settings.. I set up the camera, close it, etc.. come back in it and sometimes some settings are changed :S... I set up contacts.. then out of nowhere it unchecks Sim contacts and keeps phone contacts.. could be because I opened the case and moved the sim card a bit though.
720p recording looks wonderful, and normal camera is not bad, I feel Samsung could have done better there to maintain clarity of picture for far objects.
I would love a firmware update to help with camera speed: it is a bit slow to review pictures compared to my HTC Magic. the rest is quick and lovely .. so many settings T_T
the font is huge all over the phone lol, it is so easy to read.
edit: vibration is actually pretty strong, there's a setting to decide how strong we want it in "Sound and Display" (I thought it was for the touch feedback only but turns out it's for calls and sms, etc....)

samsung vibrant pixel marks

There seems to be an issue with the super amoled screen. Its not a biggy as of yet. It seems if you have something on the screen for long periods of time it will wear the pixels out. My example....if you go on a white screen in landscape, the look where the status bar usually is (where it says samssamsun) you can see a fainted image of the status bar and a collage of times, battery and signal (i assume from always changing). U cant really see it and sometimes i wish i couldnt. Small flaws like this upset me. My phone isnt rooted (no screen shots) if you have a vibrant or galaxy s. Could you text and see if this is a product wide issue. Thank you for reading please leave comments.
Don't see that on my phone?
uhh, a screen shot wouldnt show burned out or worn out pixels dude.
So I ran the flashlight application, held up the screen, tried looking at different angles, and couldn't find one anomaly.
You should trade it in for a new one.
did the same thing with the flashlight app, nothing shows up. this dude is on crack.

Maybe he just has a lemon?
I can attest to this. I see it after just booting up and going from the lock screen to the desktop. I can see the faint outline of the white numbers from the time on the lockscreen on my GenieWidget on my desktop at the top of my homescreen(widget has grey background). It seems to dissappear though.
I have some when using color flashlight I see marks where the time is. It is very light but I see it. Tmobile is replacing it now. Lol

[Q] Brightness/Color reduction issues (NOT hardware problem)

The problem: Most screens on my Droid 2 are consistently darkened, as if dimmed to the lowest setting. The colors are even inverted in a few places. I would be inclined to call this a hardware problem, except that many of the stock android screens (app drawer, contacts, settings, etc) display perfectly. As you can see in the (poor quality, sorry) photos, the app drawer looks normal, but the second you switch back to the Home screen, everything visibly fades to a darker, slightly inverted color scheme. Pulling down the notification tray only makes the display darker, and it unquestionably inverts the colors, turning black-on-white text into white-on-black, the wifi indicator turns from blue to orange, and the battery indicator turns from green to blue and magenta.
I've reset the phone to factory, run the SBF through RSD Lite, and searched the Internet high and low for someone experiencing a similar problem. I finally resorted to taking it to Verizon, but (surprise, surprise) they couldn't figure it out, either.
There's been no water damage, and the phone seems to be in pristine condition. It works great in every other respect, but it's basically unusable if the screen doesn't show colors and brightness correctly. I love this phone and don't want to return it to the EBay seller I got it from, but I'm beginning to feel that I have no other choice.
Any help from the XDA gallery?
Well, it's a moot point now. I just returned the phone to the seller; should be getting a full refund.
I'll leave this up for the next guy with this problem. It won't offer much help, but at least he'll know he's not insane.

[Q] Background ghosting

I have had my nexus 7 for around 3 months now and have noticed that there appears to be a frozen image of the white elements of my home scree that are slightly but permanently visible. It is quite faint but I have noticed that things like the digital clock, and the white notifications are always visible. Sometimes even with the chrome Web browser get stuck being visible on the home scree. Is this a problem that others have and is there a way to fix this?
Thanks
does it appear while taking a screenshot? if not, its the pixels burnt into the display if you left the screen on the same picture for too long.

Nexus 4 image persistence?

Alright, so I have a nexus 4. I don't know how long this issue has been around, since only now am I noticing it. After having a fairly high contrast image on the screen for a few seconds, such as the facebook status bar, if I go to another app or the homescreen, sometimes I can see a faint outline of the image. It can occasionally get really bad, especially after the screen has been off for a while. Like I was watching a video on firefox, so I switched to landscape mode. The video couldn't go full screen and I had two grey bars on the side. I was shocked to clearly see the firefox navbar burnt into my screen. Thankfully all of it cleared up, but I'm wondering if anyone else has an image persistence issue. I'll try and get a picture once I can find a camera with decent exposure. Also, it seems that the sides of the screen, especially the right side, are brighter than the rest of the screen, also after the screen has been off for a while. Don't know if the two issues are correlated or not, but I think they are. I was using facebook and my phone crashed with a white screen with lines going through it, awful image persistence, and terrible bleed through. Held down the power button and there was the bleed through and image persistence, along with screen flicker that makes a CRT look entirely static. I'm wondering, what the hell is up with my phone? I haven't really done anything wrong to it, this just kind of happened.
Got a photo. Couldn't find the cable to connect my camera to my computer, so I had to take a photo of a photo, and for that it turned out alright. Don't know how well it will turn out on different displays, but trust me it's there. This is the icon in the top right corner of the facebook application. When I swipe from the right to the left to see who's available for chat, I can see an outline of the icon that was there before.
I've noticed the persistence too at times, like a ghost image - CRT with a static image on too long, so if there was any doubt, it's not just you
I've had the same problem several times before. I just had it again, quite prominent! It stays for a few seconds, and then fades off to nothing.....Quite worried? :S
