X10 Contacts to Google ? - XPERIA X10 General

Hello Guys,
on my X10 i have many contacts on my simcard ...
How can i duplicate or sync them with my google Account?

follow these steps
first of all take a backup with backup & Restore app in case u faild.
here u go
-save it on phone memory
-backup to SDCard
-delete contact from phone memory
-Restore contacts from SDCard but..when u restore them choose google account not phone memory
then you can do the sync
plz note: if u want to add any new contact make sure that u choose to add it on google account not phone memory..

You can import them in the phone. Make a backup on SD card as vcf file. Then open gmail/contacts on the computer, click import contacts and choose the vcf file.
The vcf file you can find in sdcard/system/pim
Edit: Oh, i'm little bi too late but however. This is an optional way.

Tank you

I you have previously synced your contacts with Outlook through ActiveSync all you have to do is to Restore your contacts is to connect your device to your computer and the contacts are autmatically sent to your device. If you also want to sync all other files from your active sync folder on the PC back to your device you could to this: After you sync for the first time, ActiveSync will probably make a new ActiveSync-folder, using the new name of the device. Go to the old AS-folder and copy all files. Paste those in the New AS-folder a sync again.
i resyned and it kept the same ACtivesync name, but none of my information came back! im screwed!!!!
how do i format my miniSD card? it is corrupted and File Explorer wont let me delete the info and my laptop wont detect the card with the SD adapter.

How to transfer data after you switch your hd2 to Android?

Hi there,
I just upgrade my hd2 to Android (Mdeejay_eVo_sense), may i know how to use PIM Backup to restore all of my contacts, SMS, etc since i already switch to android? I haven't seen much information on PIM for Android so I was wondering if anyone else had other suggestions? Anyone have any experiences with them? The PIMbackup file is still in my SD card. How to retrieve and put in the Android?
I cant seem to connect to my laptop after install Android? Any idea?
Appreciate your help. Thanks a bunch!
What file type is you Pim backup? You can load some contact files straight into gmail using your browser, as for pc connection you need to activate it in android
Sent from my HTC HD2 using Tapatalk
sync with gmail account then when you're on android, it will load all your contacts and agenda
Funambol is good for contacts. Haven't used it in a minute tho. Not sure of any new features. There is a winmo version and and android one, making the tranfer fairly painless
Try this: it's the method to convert pim backup files (pib) into some files android can read BUT you have to replace Step 4 with the following:
4. Put the csv file on the root of your SD Card.
5. When on Android (AOSP/Cyanogenmod builds) Home screen, press the phone icon, then go to the contacts tab, press the windows key (acting as the menu key), then select import contacts, import from sd card, and wait until it finds the csv file, then select it and wait (better plug your phone to the charger, it can take up to 10 minutes depending on how many small files you have on your SD card), et voila.
Done
p.s: it looks a lot like this, but it takes you 3 to 4 minutes to be to step 5.
f.
edit: you don't need to sync with Gmail if, just like me, you don't want Google to have a copy of all your contacts.
Thanks guys for the tips! Truly appreciate it!
I'm now using forelli's method, i followed the step till the 5th step. However, when i press "Import from SD Card", it shows that "Scanning Sd card failed (Reason" No vCard file found on the SD card)?? But i already inserted csv in SD card. any idea??

[Q] Import Contacts

I had to do a hard reset and I have lost all of my contacts. Before doing the reset I saved all the files on my HD2 to my computer.
Anyone know where contacts file is located so I can import it?
you can use pim backup to save your contacts and many other things
Wasn't aware of that one, will definitely use that in the future.
Given that I wasn't wise enough to back up with PIM first, and only saved all the files onto my computer...any idea how to restore contacts now?
What format did you save them onto your computer in? You might be able to import them into Outlook and synchronize them.
I just copied the folder in the root directory and the storage card folder and pasted them onto pc
Which folder? To my knowledge there is no such folder.
contacts are not stored in a folder. They are stored in a "database". The file is PIM.VOL located at the root of the device. Theoritically, I guess you could copy it to the PC (or SD card) and overwrite it after a hard reset. Except it's locked by the system, so you would first have to kill the handle to the file. Many tools allow this kind of trick on PC's but I haven't found one on WM yet
phone contacts
I am using HyperdroidV1.7 with windows Mobile Artemis V 50. Unfortunately I lost my phone contacts under windows. Using android all contacts are still there. Is there a way to copy them back to simcard using android or copy files back to windows mobile ?
Thanks for your help.

Factory Restored Kitkat won't Import from SD card?

Ok so basically I exported my contacts into my sd and have 2 vcards.
I factory restored after I updated to 4.4 stock, first one says Failed to Import, The format is not supported
The other it just says contacts will be imported and takes extremely long and doesn't import even after 20 mins...
Any way I can get these contacts back? They didn't sync to my google account
Does it work if you manually copied them to internal storage and then tried to import?

I basically exported them to a sd card before I factory reset everything.
I tried to look at the vcards on mac osx, not all the contacts were there, only about 20% of them. I exported 2 vcards just to be safe....one says none are found and the other barely has 20% of the contacts
hmm well I think I did do a titanium back up, not sure if it is a full backup but I only have access to 4.4 S4's which are stock....I see a titanium backup folder on the sd card though
