Dopod D600

Hi Guys,
I have dopod D600 and wanted to upgrade it to Windows Mobile 6 and also wanted to add finger touch capabalities of HTC Touch. For this I wanted the Touch Commander software c****ed version.

New Owner Advice Please

Hi to you all,
I am the proud new owner of a Touch Dual, may I ask what upgrades/modifications you guys recommend and advice on how to do them, (I am a very basic computer used so please don't baffle me!)
Also does anyone know how I can get TomTom on my phone? I did have it having bought the software from EBay but that was for a Simbian phone and I don't think it will work on this phone? (I know I will need an external GPS received)

One of the best bits of software i have found is mobile shell, works really nicely with the touch dual. I have just installed Tomtom on my dual and it works a treat but unfortunately for you the symbian version will not work with the dual. You need the windows mobile version. If your going to buy it i would hang on for now as version 7 is apparently due out soon so it may be worth waiting for that.

he is probably talking about SPB's Mobile Shell, which I also have on my dual. it's a nice add-on.

Not really, but my browser crashed ;o)
I am looking for WM6.1 Prof or WM6.5 for my device as it is "only" WM6.1 Std. installed and some software will not work with this edition. Any ideas?

Well, the major problem I see with this is that your device has no touch screen. No touch screen, no Windows Mobile Professional.

You're wrong Windows Mobile Professional run on SPV C600 and this phone don't have touch screen but users must use fake pointer.

Is this phone a Htc Snap ,however it has Wm 6.5 pro which makes it a touch screen RIGHT,What are your thoughts on this device please .I want to stay with windows mobile as I use Tomtom navigator 7 for my job also want the full qwerty keyboard this offers.

No there, it doesn't have a touchscreen check it here http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_snap-2770.php still why don't you buy an wp7 phone? its faster better and alot more fun than this old junk, sorry but it is old :/

[Q] How to install WM6.5 on a WM 7 Device ?!!!

Hi Everybody !
you all know how strange it might be some requests form your boss but this is the most strange one !
My Boss has a system that work on WM 6.5 only and doesn't work on WM 7 and he requested that I should Provide him with 40 New WM 6.5 devices !
you know that they are not available currently So I figured out that I should buy new WM 7 Devices and Flash it Back to WM 6.5 !
I think theoretically this is possible but have anyone tried it ?!!!
I want to Try it on HTC 7 pro Device , Could anyone tell me wha the steps I need to do that ?
any other suggested Devices ? I only want it to be New ,with QWERTY keypad and I can install WM 6.5 on it !

Your only choice may be a new 6.5 device, and not much else. The HTC HD2 is still available, here in the UK, it is now the only 6.5 device stocked by Expansys on their web site.
How much longer will they be around? What's HTC's roadmap for the WinMo HD2?
Flashing 6.5 over a Phone 7 device, is asking for an expensive error.

I know that HD2 is the Only WM 6.5 device that still Availble but the problem is that HD2 Doesn't have a QWERTY keypad and the system required a lot of Typing.

If you can't find new WinMo device with qwerty keyboard it is possible to use if the course its acceptable as an option the mini bluetooth keyboard.

I don't think it isn't sales is dead yet. Its a nice device though.

ebay is your friend, serously, you can find all sorts of new stuff on there, im on the hunt for a nackard HD2 just now so i can strip the digitiser out of it
