Galaxy GT-P1000 & flash sites - Galaxy Tab General

I have recently purchased a galaxy gt-p1000 tab and im having trouble using the tinychat.com website.
Colleagues of mine are able to access this website using stock browser on their HTC devices with the flash update installed.
AFAIK firefox on android does not yet support flash, so is there any way i can get this site to function?
What if one was to acquire the browser .apk from a HTC android device, would this install on a gt-p1000 tab?
Regards.

hey man, you should be able to browse any flash sites using the stock browser, you can check with www.motogp.com or something like cnn.com that uses flash, if those work it maybe a problem with that particular flash app you're trying to run.
let me know how it goes.

Sounds like you have an official (and old) firmware, try updating with a new custom one. Another thing could be using Opera Mobile, but if the issue is the firmware, flash is going to be slow anyway.

There is no flash support for galaxy 3 as of now...and some people say its not supported for the type of processor our phone comes with
Sent from my GT-I5800 using XDA App
if u want to use flash to cross the pesky download waiting counter and other necessities of browsing then use opera mobile it has built in flash
if u want to see videos then use youtube app from stock firmware
there is no SEPARATE flash support for our phones but apps which already have flash integrated in them will work

Help Me If You Can...

Recently, i had downloaded a software from websites. After my saving on my galaxy gt i9003, a problem occur. Now, it can only load the main screen. It was unable to load into the main wallpaper/ launcher menu. I heard from some others professionals, they said it was a bug.
Please help me. Sorry for un-proper English. Hope you could understand.
What kind of software? If you've tried to manually flash your phone all you have to do is download a firmware that comes in 3 parts from samfirmware and flash your phone again.

Jb ota n8000xxbli2

This is one of the two versions of JB OTA updates that were released in the middle of september. This one was only releasde by Sammobile and it gave an error trying to flash it thru stock recovery. I didnt at the time think about trying with Mobile Odin, BUT I DID TODAY!
N8000XXBLI2 has some changes from the DDALI1 JB OTA update. As i can remember the LI1 version didnt have S-Pen settings in settings like ICS firmware has, XXBLI2 has! It also has something called Cloud in settings, havent tested yet but it seems to be something like dropbox. Also with this JB version gallery is fully functional and its possible to set background thru it with out FC. Its 1 day older then the LI1 but seems more stable. I havent tested any Multiscreen functions yet or any of the S-apps if its any more changes from LI1 version.
If anyone is intrested in flashing this heres a guide:
First you need to be on N8000XWALH1( Philippines, Globe) base, so download that from Sammobile. You also need to download 2 diffrent OTAs: N8000XWALI3 and the JB OTA N8000XXBLI2.
Now Odin flash base firmware N8000XWALH1and root that( if you didnt flash with Mobile Odin and everroot) let it boot and apply first OTA N8000XWALI3 thru Mobile Odin and choose everoot, let it run and boot.
Now apply JB OTA N8000XXBLI2 same here choose everroot. This one Mobile Odin will give some error messages about( one for Modem not being the same as base and one for 8 files of 400 dont matching the check) just ignore thoose and let Mobile Odin run its thing and let it boot.
It doesnt matter if you have CWM installed before flashing with Mobile Odin, it uses its own recovery.
I dont give any support and its not my fault if you destroy your device. Its not rocket science, just download 3 files and apply them with Mobile Odin.
Thought we needed something to do in the weekend and its acctually much more complete then the LI1 OTA.
Good Luck
Thanks,
How is the modem version in the OTA( Globe Phillipines) working in Sweeden?
Any issues?

No issues at all so far, 3G working fine and signal seems strong
Has anybody tried it on the N8013? Wondering if it restarts like the last update.

I'd wait. If the OTAs are rolling out, JB can't be far behind for the 8013.
I am gonna try it later in n8010. Will give u report and Make a video

Like nickwarn says, it works fine.
S-Pen settings are in place but no multitasking and no IR yet.
Base firmware N8000XWALH1 only has a few languages but after flashing the JB OTA you will have many more.

What do you mean with no multitasking? Are you referring to the splitscreen function? If so it is there and working fine, it's just a bit different.

How?
Like on the Note II, with a taskbar on the left side where you can choose apps to open and run in split screen?

Yep, almost.
Here you have it on the mini app bar. You actually chose a layout there. You can divide your screen in 2, 3 or 4 parts and run the apps there.
The apps on the "previously called mini app bar"-bar has grown from 10 to 17, so you have the browser there and some other stuff.
If you run one of them full screen, and you want to get back to split screen, either put your finger at the top on the screen (then a menu will slide down where you can put it back in split screen) or bring up the mini app bar and chose the layout and it should go from full screen to split screen.
I don't know if you can call them mini apps any longer, they've kind of integrated the mini apps with full apps and split screen..

[Q] blade - updating ROM

hi
i have a 2 year old orange san francisco. lately there has been quite a bit of lag when operating the phone. for example opening SMS takes over 2/3 minutes, sometimes i dont get notification for voicemail in time etc.
so i was thinking before i upgrade the phone may be its worth upgrading the phone software and see if that solves the problem.
have a feq questions and would appreciate help
1) phone was purchased second hand and has customised ROM installed. Problem is i dont know which one. How do i find, whats installed on the phone.
2) is it possible to get a complete backup of phone including contacts and SMS before upgrade and then transfer this over to new rom once done.
3) what is the best rom out there? any recommnedations? not looking for anything flashy, just something that works really.

Is your phone rooted?

That's what I think, I.. It's rooted, but how can I confirm it.
Okay, what android version is your phone running?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
You can use KonstaT's based on CM10 Rom (search Modaco for official thread). Great and with small partition needs... :good:
Just check if you have superuser on the phone. And if you want check on the settings on about phone keep pressing where it mentions the version of the phone

In about phone look at the build number, it should tell you the ROM your running

2) Yeah, with Titanium Backup you can do it
3) The most stable ROM is the CM7 (it's my opinion, this can't be measured) (http://get.cm/?device=blade, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=957156), but I use CM10.1 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2061682)
Here is some kind of help to start: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1644220
hi guys,
does anyone know where I can download the stock updater for Orange San francisco. The phone had been converted to Gen2 by the person I bought it from off ebay UK. I fixed it using the zte updater tool, but now the updater only installs GEN2 stock firmware.
I need a GEN1 zte stock updater for windows, even if its eclair. anyone has that ROM? The ones that have to be flashed via cwm dont work for my phone. Pls help

I've looked here and can't find a suitable thread. Does anyone here know why this isn't working?

File transfer using WiFi is not possible between a Samsung device and non-Samsung devices unless you're using a third party app. Android, by default, doesn't support it. It's upto the developers to use it.
You can use this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nz.intelx.send.lite
