openVPN 2.1.1 help - Droid 2 General

Hello all,
I've been trying to get openVPN working on my Droid 2, but am receiving some errors. Specifically I get:
Options error: Unrecognized option or missing parameter(s) in [PUSH-OPTIONS]:1: route (2.1.1)
Options error: Unrecognized option or missing parameter(s) in [PUSH-OPTIONS]:5: ifconfig (2.1.1)
I've tried following the suggestions for the openvpn-installer issues, but when I go to create the links, I'm told that they already exist. I've tried installing openVPN to both /system/bin and /system/xbin but have not had success with either case. The only thing left that could be the problem would be the .conf file, but this works correctly on my pc. I've changed the conf file to work with my key and certificate on the sdcard for the phone, and I've been able to connect to the server, but the tun0 interface isn't found.
Basically, everything is ready to go except for the route and ifconfig problem.
Does anyone have any suggestions for how I can get this working?

Certificate problem

Hi
Trying for around 24 hours solid now to get my citrix ica client running on the hd2, gets right to the point where it launches the desktop and then dumps me out with the following error:
SSL Error 61: You have not chosen to trust "UTN-USERFirst-Hardware", the issuer of the server's security certificate.
Driving me mad. Really mad. Googled loads, tried importing the certificate after downloaded from web. Is there a cert manager in winmo6? Not even sure this is the problem. Had it working fine on the old Athena / Advantage.
Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know if this can really help, but if you have a .cer file, then simply open it and winmo will install the certificate.
Also you can find installed certificates in Parameters > System > certificates

Change WiFi MAC Address

Has anyone been able to change their WiFi MAC using any ROM/kernel/script/tweak? I know it's possible and I know how to do it via busybox "ip" commands. After I remove all associated AP's, bring down eth0, change eth0's hwaddr, confirm the change with "ip show eth0" and try to reassociate with a WPA/WEP it will not connect and logs show it fails to connect after "authorizing." I have a feeling that there needs to be a change in the wpa_supplicant conf file or in one of the init scripts to fix the issue but I have not been successful.
If any devs can point me in the right direction that would be awesome. I know I could make a simple script to change it if I knew why it won't authorize. Many access points require 00:XX as the beginning of a WiFi MAC or the device gets rejected due to a spoof attack on several routers. Thanks!

[SOLVED] I'm lost. Openvpn + tun + HMA. [email protected]!

Hi,
Just got myself some nice account at hidemyass_dot_com ... They dont support l2tp yet, and pptp just doesn't work (some encryption issue idk).
So I figured i'd try using openvpn. So I downloaded the market version of openvpn software.
Got the crt files, ovpn files and key file. Everything is in order. When I try to connect, I see that I can pass everything (even get a bloody IP). But the routes dont work. Meaning, I'm not routed through the tunnel but through the normal pdp0 interface.
I got into adb shell, adb logcat etc. This is what I figured out:
Routes are not "implemented" because it can't find the tun0 interface. Why? because its not in "up" mode. Since its not in "up" mode, openvpn software failed when it did "ifconfig IP MASK".
Now get this, if i manually (after openvpn authenticates, assigns an IP and says "connected") netcfg tun0 up, and then manually ifconfig tun0 IP MASK and then manually assign the routes which were automatically failed last time - it works.
Everything is routed properly.
What I figured was an issue with the netcfg tun0 up and ifconfig tun0 ip mask commands ... I read people tried tun.ko files (for each cfw) but couldn't find any for S2 (or lite'ning).
OMG I'm desperate. Help?

I've been trying to do this but just forgot about it when I first got the phone. You need to compile the tun.ko driver.
are you root?
you need root for OpenVPN
also the kernel needs to have tun.ko else it won't work
I wasn't able to test it myself yet but this is what I remembered from my Hero..

I'm root.
Now not sure about the tun.ko in the kernel. I guess it has the default one (I do afterall, manage to netcfg tun0 up and ifconfig tun0 IP MASK if I do them manually ... they fail when openvpn does them by itself) ..
Maybe I need a special tun.ko? how can I compile my own?
I suddenly remembered thread in which I posted a while back about SGSII and OpenVPN
that member confirmed it as working, the link is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1074492
I will root my SGSII somewhere this or next month and try it myself then..
SOLVED
Had to reinstall BusyBox (so I'd have /system/xbin/bb folder).
Now everything works with the default tun.
re-install openvpn when prompt ifconfig directory select /system/xbin/bb. then open console add sym link "ln -s /system/xbin /system/xbin/bb"
your openvpn should now able to up the tun0 interface and accept the push config from openvpn server

Galaxy Ace + AnyConnect

Hi, i have a (rooted) Samsung Galaxy Ace with Gingerbread and i would like to use the internet at the university.
This is ONLY possible with a VPN-Connection via Cisco VPN.
I've already downloaded Cisco VPN and it also starts, but after the login i get get the following message:
"This device does not meet the minimum requirements to run this Software. A TUN/TAP driver could not be located. Please ensure a TUN/TAP module is compiled with your kernel or located in /data/local/kernel_modules"
What I've done already:
Downloaded the tun.ko from this Homepage:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1207952
Put it in
/data/local/kernel_modules
/lib/modules
/system/lib/modules
but nothing works (after the reboot the tun.ko disappeared in /lib/modules and /system/lib/modules)
I already did "insmod tun.ko" but i got the message "insmod failed exec format error"
What can I do so that I can use VPN?
(I´m sorry for my bad englich but i´m german)

[Q] OpenVPN Tap fails on route add -net?

I'm trying to setup OpenVPN with TAP (I know there are other app that set up TUN for you, that's not what I'm trying to do) on andriod, everything seems to be working correctly except the last step. When open vpn tries to add route it fails with error status: 1.
I followed the steps here to install Busybox/OpenVPN Installer/OpenVPN Settings
http://strongvpn.com/setup_android_open.shtml
My VPN seems to connect fine but it fails on
/system/xbin/route add -net 0.0.0.0 netmask 128.0.0.0 gw 10.1.1.2
I've double checked that /system/xbin/route can be executed, though when I'm trying to run the same command in terminal it gives me
siocaddrt operation not permitted
Any thoughts?
I guess no one uses OpenVPN with TAP eh?...
