NEED HELP!!!!
Hi,
Please read this thread. You might find some useful information in there.

Either
1 borrow friend/shop with a hd2 running winmo to charge your battery,
2 borrow / buy battery to flash winmo then use your now winmo phone to charge it,
3 buy an external charger,
4 take an old USB cable, cut end off, strip back and find red and black wires,,red to plus on battery, black to negative (marked on battery) plug into USB slot and hold wires there(fingers are fine, you won't get a shock) for 30/40 seconds. Should be enough charge to start booting, charging will start about halfway thru boot, so get proper cable in straight away into wall charger.
I've successfully used 4 twice.

[Q] MAGLDR 1.13 battery wont charge unique

So I have read about MAGLDR 1.13 battery drain fix "*Fixed Power-Off-Cable-Plug-Stop. Phone now detects this situation and reboots. Battery controller inside LEO needs runtime control during charge, it implemented in OS." and Yes that works fine! However once im in my OS Hyperdroid, my battery dies instantly and my phone turns off and turns back on thanks to MAGLDR then repeats until I unplug my charger.
Why wont my battery charge once im in the OS
Side note - I have taken the batery out and charged it via USB Red on + and Black on - If i charge it for 30 sec it will boot to OS and have 0% once i stick the charger in it dies instantly and reboots
Side note 2 - "" If I charge for over a min via Red/Black +/- it will boot into os and give me a inaccurate battery reading of 60-65% and will not charge once I insert the charger.
Can anybody help?
It looks, you may have to charge battery a little bit in Bootloader screen before you can turn in to OS.
I think something might be wrong with your cable or charger. When you charge, do you get over 800ma or similar? Use current widget to check.
$1 gets you a reply
Have the charger plugged in all the time, and charging should start long before the rom finishes booting. The also, do use the wall charger, and not the pc's usb slot, which may connect and disconnect the time or two during boot, and stopping charging.
Thanks guys I have used 2 different chargers and it doesnt seem to be the case, im going to chop this up as I need a new battery, when i charge it manually via Red/Black to +/- for over 30sec it gives my O/S a false reading and says its 65% charged, ima buy a new one and see if this is the case.... I really hope this works and thanks for your help!

[Q] Atrix won't boot if plugged in...?

When on battery power, it boots just fine. But if I plug it in, it shows the moto boot screen, and stays on it forever - and while it's on that screen, the battery isn't charging. I have to unplug it, take the battery out, then boot up without plugging it in. That itself isn't a problem...just a pain.
The problem is when my battery is too low to boot without plugging it in. I can't boot it up on battery power, and I can't charge the battery by plugging it in.
I finally got it to work by borrowing a friend's wall-mounted external battery charger and got the phone up and running. But what the hell do I do for next time?
Also, I installed CWM and it doesn't work, ironically, because CWM requires power to boot into recovery, and my phone won't boot at all when plugged in. The normal recovery has never worked on the phone, since its unboxing, and I'm starting to get pissed about this lack of recovery. Any ideas would be much appreciated.
Are you using a USB port to charge?

I've tried USB and a wall charger. When plugged into USB, it turns on but will not enter CWM still. When connected to a wall charger, it stays at the Moto screen forever, charging.
When the phone is switched off and plugged to the wall charger you need to do a long press on the power switch till you will see the Motorola logo again. Once the phone is fully booted it will start charging again (still plugged to the wall charger of course).

Hd2 not getting charged!!!! Pls help me

Hi Folks,
My HTC HD2 Android not getting charged either by a wall charger or usb via my pc... i dont what happened suddenly it got turned off due to low battery and when i pluged it for chrging its not showing orange LED notification of charging. when its off and plugged in Orange LED blinked once and Phone got switched on. And when its connected to PC for abt 3 mins it will show charging and after that it shows discharging and battery drains when it shows it discharging . pls help me out coz i dont want to loose my Leo .
Thanx in advance,,,,
Check the pins at the phone which connects to the battery. Sometimes they are deformed and this cause the charging/not charging problem.
But... in this case I don't think this is the problem, because this problem should not affect direct charging from usb cable.
Anyway check them just for sure!
Thanks VDodi

Best way is not to let it run out
However, normally it will have enough charge left once it dies to boot up far enough to start charging. If this is not the case, then you have to cut open a USB cable and use the red and black wires to charge the battery. I have not had to do this and am unsure as to how to do it but there are tutorials. It seems simple enough.

Consider, as was previously suggested, a cable connection issue.
While you do not currently have the luxury of looking at your status icons, I have found that, on occasion, when I plugged in the phone to charge, the status icon indicated a USB connection, rather than a charging icon. Unplugging the cable and re-inserting the cable fixed it.
Note that new high quality cables can exhibit the same issue.
You have nothing to lose... Give it a shot.
Good luck.

Take out battery, plug chopped up USB cable into wall charger, use fingers to hold red to + black to -, count to twenty, battery in phone, phone into bootloader, real charger cable into phone and wall charger, leave 10 mins, reboot into android. (Can charge all the way in bootloader, but it seems slower than when android is running.)

By 'tutorials on how to do this' I basically meant your posts
As previously said if you're using magldr you need to be booted into Android before the phone will charge. You can try to warm the battery up in your hands to squeeze the last bit of power out of it to boot up. Or there are standalone hd2 battery charges you can buy from eBay that charge your battery outside of the phone, they're pretty cheap.

As Samuel said you can charge phone in bootloader. Just try!
Had to buy external charger
item # M00366 this charger was cheap has led's that change from red to blue as the battery charges and has a usb port so you can charge a battery in phone at the same time.
I'd been alternating tween an extended battery and the original when my HD2 started discharging while plugged in. same batteries and nearly a year of typhoon's excellent ROM progression then wham dead batteries....
