hdmi issues - Droid X General

something about hdmi is today causing my droid x to display a blank black screen, with the hard keys lit. wont play my videos, have to do a battery pull to fix. any ideas?
edit - nm, it worked this time - but what if it keeps happening? kinda sucks.

Are you running any blurless roms? If you remove the blur the HDMI will not work

No I'm running apex 1.4.1, switched to it from liberty 1.5 just for a little blur, so I could use hdmi. Sometimes videos others encode don't act right with the player, but this morning I couldn't get any videos to work at all, and my screen went black instead of the hdmi control screen. It normally looks like this...

Why does this keep happening to my Weather Widget?

It seems to be random. When it happens, if I turn the TF to portrait than back to landscape it fixes itself. I've tried different backgrounds, same problem.
Not a big deal, just wonder if anyone knows what causes it.

Happens to me too.
Happens to me too. Also Widgets seem to lag screen more. Without Widgets Home Screens are Flawlessly Smooth.
Yup, happens to me too. But it fixes itself after awhile.
Did you remove the widget & then re-add it?
It seems to have changed size in the 3.1 update.

That happened to me quite a lot running 3.0 but i have not had it happen on 3.1 yet. It always looked to me as if the font size or spacing of the text somehow changed.

Strange audio output issue

Ok...so the picture above shows what im using, its just a cheap $5 y adapter from amazon...its worked fine in the past on my previous phones (samsung infuse and htc vivid) however when I play music through it on my s4 it cause "glitches" like artifacts from the lockscreen will pop up...status bar will "jitter" ...its hard to explain so check out the video for an example...just a few seconds long - there is no issue with headphones so im confused why this is happening...and it happens with all music players not just stock...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSBUkhol4Bg -wait while that processes
Any one have any ideas?
Any suggestions?
Any body have a y adapter they can try and replicate it with?
Should I return my device?
-Theres no issue using this adapter with my other phones
-headphones give no problems...and this essentialy should act the same as headphones...its just going to speakers instead

Crashing / Reboots and red screen

Good afternoon everyone,
My 2012 nexus 7 has worked really well for the last couple of years, however for the last 8 or so months it has been randomly rebooting, primarily when using the TomTom app but also occasionally when streaming films using chromecast.
This doesn't seem to be rom specific as I've tried all of the usual suspects, so is there anyway I can track with what is causing the this to happen.
The other thing that happens is when it crashes it gets stuck on a blank screen before it reboots, however last night it got stuck on a bright red screen, is this because the tablet is soon to die or something else?

Recently started getting weird gradient in most apps

Can close the thread. Still don't know why it happened but a restart fixed it.
-----------
Is this a known thing? I first noticed it in the Google Messenger app but it seems to have spread to most apps. I'm running stock (MPH24.49-18) without root on Verizon.
Included Tapatalk screen as an example, can barely read the recent changes block in the play store due to the gradient.

Ok, that's really strange. Phone had been running for 400+ hours so I went ahead and restarted it. Now everything looks fine again... even the screenshot I attached to this post.

Mi Tv Stick : Get rid of shared controls.

My Friend and I share a network. So whenever he turns on his MI TV stick, everyone at our house gets a notification for shared controls. How do I turn it off? we tried using google home app method which we found on google but that does not work as settings screen for the said device is blank. My dad or my wife sometime stop the media being played as they were not aware of the situation. (My friend complained me that his videos keep stopping and he has no Idea why which was hilarious.). Though it does not affect me directly, it gets very annoying fast. How do I get rid of shared controls.
