Was wondering your opinions if my aria was broken and I sent It to att via insurance how much would they charge .me and do you think theyed send me another aria?

Assuming it's rooted, they wouldn't replace it under warranty unless you install the 2.2 at&t issued update first. If you can't do that, I would suggest claiming it stolen to get a replacement under warranty. I'm pretty sure they still issue the Aria for replacement purposes.

Telling them you dropped it off your boat works great!

Damn you Sprint. I appreciate the hassle free replacement but why did you have to send an unrootable froyo updated one. I was so happy with my Rom and theme arghhhh!

I received a replacement but it was not updated to Froyo. Rooted it and now running Fresh. Much better than the stock Froyo for sure.

Hi guys, I'm wondering if my phone breaks and I pay insurance. Will they replace my phone with the same one? Or have they discontinued the regular vibrant in lieu of the new 4g one on t mobile?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
They'll likely give you another vibrant. I just had another warranty replacement and received a stock 2.1 vibrant replacement.

I'll probably take it in since I got one of the june or july releases because my gps routes me to hell every time

This is a bummer, my mic went out so now I'm waiting for a replacement EVO. I assume it will have 2.3 on it so now I'm gonna have to wait for root along with all the other poor souls....lameness.

Like the particular store or just in general?
Because if its just that particular store, cancel the order and go to a different one.
Losing root for who knows how long is life ending.
Maybe ill do that

There's been some random reports of bootloaders for replacement phones being s-off.
Best of luck
Ya my mic went out while back ago and they said its embedded to the board so it couldnt be swapped, had to get a replacement. Good luck on your replacement!

Ya my phone screen is very scratched (damn kids) so I been debating getting an insurance replacement. Just don't want to gamble in case they send a replacement with the new OTA.

I just got my replacement evo....it came s-off!!!
We're comin from a pure power source.
Why does my replacement 4g have 2.3.4 when tmobile sent it to me 2 days ago and my old was at 2.2.1

They automatically give you the Gingerbread update when you send your phone in to them now. They're trying to do you a favor, but if you're the type that likes to root it's probably more of a disservice.
Yeah what he said..a great service. Lol

I am new here to Aria and ATT. I was wondering if ATT can detect tethering on all Cusom Roms?
Sent from my HTC ThunderBolt using XDA Premium App
Yes... It's where the data terminates is how they can detect it. That and packet inspection.
I guess no one has figured out a way to stop detection like the devs on the cdma carriers.

ClockworkMod's new Tethering app is supposed to be undetectable -- although the app itself is not free (you can use it for a few weeks as a trial though) and it only supports USB tethering. Still might be worth a look: https://plus.google.com/103583939320326217147/posts/1Yy1jb9z4TA
You won't find it on the Market though because AT&T has blocked it. You'd have to sideload it.
Thanks. Pda supposedly has a stealth mode. I wonder how good that is compared to clockwork?

my HTC Aria rooted and using CY7 (nightlies) tethered to a laptop and to an HTC tablet with AT&T service. Didn't do it much, but did use it on several occasions, never had an AT&T problem..
