Minimizing TomTom

I just got my Mogul a few days ago, and I was wondering if anyone knew a way to minimize tomtom so that I can have windows media player playing music through my car stereo while also using gps. I can play music in the background, I just cant get out of TomTom without exiting the app. Oh yea, my face buttons don't work so that is not really an option
One more thing, is there a more finger friendly media player for windows mobile?
Thanks for the help,
Jason
Cannot speak for the others but I have the press the OK button on the side twice and this get me out without ending the program so I can come back to it,,,
for a finger friendly media player try s2p, its a clone of the iphone media player

Not certain about the Mogul, but on some devices the red phone button minimises Tomtom.

Be quite man..... Read carefully the request of this thread....
s2p works great, I just wish that it supported m4a files, since a large portion of my library is in that format.
I have found that pressing the ok button works, the only problem is that the only ok button I have is on the qwerty keypad. My side and front ones don't, along with the red phone button

[PROBLEM] HTC MP3 player stops after every song?

Hi there!
I've a huge problem with the music player on the hd2. It stops after EVERY song. I alsways have to turn on the phone and manually hit play or next to play the next sond. That's quite annoying!
It doesn't matter if I select an album, a playlist or whatver. Even if I turn on repeat-mode, the sond is only played once.
Anyone else have this problem? Is there a solution?
I noticed the same thing, and I already updated to 1.48...
There's a partial solution anyway: if you don't press the power off button to activate the stand by mode, but instead if you let stand by mode to activate by itself, it works correctly.

I've had the same thing happen when I let standby mode activate itself, also have an issue where the MP3s stutter, small 1 second breaks in the music.
Few people use the embedded mp3 player coz it's bad and very slow, especially when you have a massive library.
You should try another player: Kinoma (freeplay is free), CorePlayer, Nitrogen (free), etc...
err, starting an extra application for that doesn't sound very attractive to me. Actually I like the fact that this is integrated into sense.
Regarding the speed: I've ~10 GB of music. The HTC player handles them very well
After i read this, i tested it on my device.
The first time the player stopes after the first track,
but if you press play again and you come to the end, then it switch to the next track without a problem and play it.
regards
I have the repeat button on and it doesnt' stop!! And the built in mp3 player is better than WMP because it actually shows chinese characters properly for me... And the interface looks nice...
I noticed the music player in htc sense only looks at the music folder on the storage card, is there any way to add more folders of music or must I insert all my music there and it will automatically be "synced" every time a new song/folder of songs is added?
On mine, the HTC music player looks for all audio files on both the storage card and the phone itself (anywhere in 'My Documents'). It even picks up ring tones I've added and the 'sample' music on the phone. So, I'm not sure if this is a setting of some kind, but mine seems to do what you want, and your's seems to do what I want.
same as you
I have the exactly same problem my friend nd it's irritating. For now, the only solution I have is the use of bluethoot earphones where I can skip the music on it, but as soon as I put classic earphones it does the same problem. I'm gonna try another player I think. it's a pity because HTC player is starting to become gorgeous
track order
Has anyone noticed track order problems. I've started a thread on this. It's really doing my head in.
Same track order problem here. Posted it to HTC-support, they have no solution. Every other player doesn't have this problem.

Is is possible to search music on the HTC music player

I dont mean browse i mean like bringing up the keyboard and typing in the song you want to hear, I have over 1000 songs and its a pain scrolling through them to finally reach the song i want. I used WMP but i hate the way it looks but it atleast has a search feature.
Thanks in advance if this is even possible!

I just tried this on my N7. I started Google Play Music playing local mp3's stored on the N7. I was able to then switch to the open tasks and choose one and the music kept playing. I was also able to touch the Home button and went to the home screen with the music still playing. I could start any other apps and the music still played. Not sure what is happening with yours. Are you sure you weren't streaming over wi-fi? I'm stock rom, rooted.
use this player
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...GwsMSwxLDMsImNvbS5tYXhtcHouYXVkaW9wbGF5ZXIiXQ..
when you go out of the main app, it will make a player in the notification, making it able to play even on other apps...
hope it helps,
its free...

[Q] Google Play Music [not] on lock screen

Hi all
Anyone here using Google Play Music?
Coming from a GN, I got used to the pure android stuff, Google Play Music being one of them.
I listen to music streaming from Google Music in my car on my phone (connected via 3.5 jack to my aux) almost every day, with the GN when I wanted to skip a song\pause\play I would've simply turn on the screen and use the lock-screen Google music thingie that popped there every time Google Play Music was running, but now it doesn't seem to be implemented into the s4, so I need to swipe down the status bar (considering I'm not using some kind of security lockscreen) and find the next\pause\play buttons among all the accidentally clickable stuff there... OR unlock the phone and use the Play Music app itself.
Now I'm not ranting about one more or less button to press here, really, it's just that while I'm driving every millionth of a second that my eyes are on the road counts, so I liked it the way it used to be, where I didn't even need to look at the screen..
Long story I know..
Anyway, any simple solution? or would I'll just have to get used to it?
p.s - not planning on moving to the stock music player as all of my music is in the Google Music cloud and I really like it that way.
Got the same issue. Sometimes it'll work fine, sometimes nothing on lock screen. Generally I find Google Play Music pretty damn annoying and horrible. Would love a solution as well.
Holy mother of all tits IT WORKS.. I just played a song and the damn thing is there in the lock screen looking at me..
Yep, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't... Would love to understand why.
Does anyone know a solution for this? Perhaps another recommended music player?
