Hello.
I am rooted, using the stock rom.
Is there an app to invert colors on SMS, and say, Internet application?
Example: White letters, black background.
Don't know about stock but cyanogen roms has this feature built in.
Handcent SMS will let ya do that for your text
Thanks guys, I checked out both, tried CM7 a few weeks back, but was too glitchy on my phone, and things weren't working. I wil try it again in a few weeks after they have some more dev time.
Many messaging apps from the market let you customize the appearance or apply themes. I personally like GO SMS.
if you tried CM7 a few weeks ago and it was too glitchy for you, the latest CM7RC2 was dropped this week also TeamRoyal just dropped the latest version of RoyalGinger and they are both super stable and very quick TR:RG is definitely faster and so far more stable for me.
Wooooo! Thanks for the heads up on GO SMS, and also, thanks for the updates on the ROM's Raven, I am checking both out now!
Question... This is only a customization locally, right? I realize that fonts and other formatting would not appear in the recipient of sms, but with inverted text, I imagine there may be ways (and certainly using apps which are mutually installed) that the recip could get the sms inverted too....without the recipient needing to install anything.

There's Javascript for that
That problem appeared a long ago, and one guy made a javascript for doing this, inverting colors in a browser; no root needed, just add his page as a bookmark, and use it, whn you want
tonymuka.com/js (i am kinda new here; not allowed to post links, and stuff)
Also, I heard Boat browser have this function..

I was reading the top without reading the dates and i was like, what the hell, cm 7 glitchy? lol
Same here =)
So I've stuck with BML through several different Roms. I originally rooted because I needed working gps and wifi. I had decided I was going to switch to MTD this weekend but now I'm not so sure. Any suggestions?
If I was in ur spot I would probably just wait and see what happens with el30
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
There's no gps fix in el30 as far as I've seen... just make the move eventually they will have el30 mtd roms within a week or two

cm7 or miui ROM is best for me... Im using miui and not switching til cm9 gets here.. try miui rom and u will see wat i mean..LOL
its different with more feature than TW roms has to offer..
Hmmm..I guess I would wait for your favorite ROM to do all the upgrades, grab the modem and then convert to MTD. Should be about a week.

I switched to MTD so I could run CM7, as well as my FAV ROM that I converted over, but besides the loads of extra space, it hasn't been much different.
If you want to try CM7, backup your fav BML setups, convert them to MTD, install CM7, the switch as you like.
But unless you are going to checkout CM7, I would stick with BML until EL30 ROMs come out, then jump.
This Epic post as brought to you via Tapatalk
sounds like a good time to try CM7 or MIUI.US. ran cm7 for a week, switched to MIUI.US for a week.
Most likely the devs will come out with a good MTD rom do you don't have to odin back to RFS to go back to EL30.

I'm thinking this sounds like a plan. Thanks for the suggestions guys!
Id say just switch to mtd, EL30 ROMs will be kind of cripple or in beta for a bit since mods have to be ported and debugged

After using CM7 there's just no going back... tons of features. Love the ability to revoke permissions from apps.

This +9000. I am readying an MTD of EI22 for my rom, its out to testers to make sure nothing is borked. EL30 is currently low on my list until someone proves it is completely CIQ-free.

lol EL30 is just a fix we have already had on cm7 and most any other EI22 rom for months now i say waste of time stick with MTD CM7 is a dream and with now official nightly updates it gets no better then that.
CM7 sounds really good, but is it ready for daily use in a business? I can flash every couple weeks and need emails, texts, gps navigation and working phone. I don't mind testing and installing different apps but reading the cm7 thread... well maybe it is just some of the noob questions. Is it ready for daily use?

I was skeptical but have been using it for days without issue. Check out my tip sharing thread in General and decide for yourself.

Okay
Emails - works just the same
Texts- the only issue with this is that you have to go into the messaging settings and split messages(not really an issue but there's a fix)
Gps- works better than on TouchWiz ROMs although I've never used navigation
Phone- only sight difference is when a call is ended it says "call lost" mightve been fixed idk don't make to much calls myself. But once again not really an issue, the call still ends the same.
So as you see its more than ready for daily use

Well email app has no way to pick "always show pictures" so using K9 is better.
MMS does not send over wifi with stock mms.apk but works with GoSMS.
Calls end normally now from what I saw.
There are even some ported TW stock apps in Apps subforum.

Ah I see that could be annoying
MMS "over" wifi I believe wasn't fixed I could be wrong but mms while on wifi for me currently works on nightly I don't even remember 14 I think lol 3g comes on and sends over 3g, everynow and then I have to send it twice because data didn't really connect but that's a different issue

Yes, that is what happens but it is more like 50/50, like it doesn't wait long enopugh for 3G to connect. But GoSMS doesn't switch to 3G, sends right over wifi.
I remember reading a change log on the recent nightlies where the mms over wifi was fixed.

Guys,
Whats shakin? Okay I need some testers for JB EOS Rom (4.1.1_r4 base) for Crespo and Crespo4g (I have to build the crepso still). Everything is working in this rom, but Settings/performance. I have to tinker with that tomorrow since this is the first time we are introducing the herring devices to EOS. If you want to check out our site its www.teameos.org. Soloranz and bigrushdog are the main devs and they are just flat out awesome. Just PM me if you want to test it out for me.
Here you go. This is a working Crespo4g rom. http://www.mediafire.com/?b67y9se57tdcbng please try to use the stock kernel. I know Settings/performance FCs. Softkeys will not work, we just need to make sure they dont build for Crepos. This mod was just added in last night. I fixed mms that should work, if it doesnt blame it on Sprint. Just try to get give me some feedback here in the thread.

Tested out few things so far. The following works: 4G/3G, wifi, gps, sending mms
I don't tether so didn't test those.
Receiving MMS did not work.
Overall, the rom is very smooth and responsive. The notification toggles seems a little big (that could be just me). Like the little scrolling at the very top of notification to get to brightness and volume; however, it doesn't work too well because when flicking, sometimes it just registers as changing the volume or brightness depending on where I am. Definitely has potential. Maybe adding lockscreen weather, calender, etc. is for the future, but overall a very good first release.

Thank you. Lets see what happens with the rest of the guys with MMS. Everything is in there that needs to be in there to fix MMS. Sprint has just been flakely with it. As far as flicking on the notifications screen, dont flick on the icons themselves (at the top). You can flick in the blank space on the notification drop down. I can see the Icons not working, they are all for xhdpi, I will resize them for the crespo screens.

Lol I just gave this to you a few hours ago...lol let the battery settle. Might just be a little early to call it quite yet.
Gallery doesn't seem to pick up all of my pictures. (Missing 100 out of 500 or so of my sideloaded wallpapers)
I replaced the drives(/lib/ files from Deck unofficial CM9 with Mega recent ICS rom, Adjusted the permissions, rebooted, and BAM Camera works on any ICS Rom.
I got MMS to send using the MMS replacement for ICS in the Android General/Android app and Games.

So since I flashed Dark Unicorn Resurrected v.2.5 I can't send any MMS, I have no problem receiving them. I tried several different APN settings and still no luck. Every time I hit send it does nothing and the message gets saved as a draft. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
SO NOBODY?
Nobody has had this problem or knows how to solve this? WOW
MMS
i had the same issue did not found a way to resolved this. Change the rom to the latest PACman and it works great.
Alright, I'll wait and see if somebody else has a solution. Thanks.

Have you checked youre APN settings? I would check to make sure that it's set for your carrier.

Ya I tried like 5 different settings, and no luck.
Im not sure then the only problem i've encountered with MMS had to do with APN settings.

OP, you might try copying apnsconfig.xml from a similar ROM with working MMS to yours. I've had that work for me in the past.
I remember having to use a different mms.apk from another ics rom to use mms on dark unicorn

Do you have your wifi connected when you are trying to send the mms? If so, that may be the issue.
