Advent vega hardware

I want an advent vega but im fining it hard to get hold of but I came across the 10" Epad Tablet and did a bit of research and I saw someone said it was the same hardware as the advent vega can anybody tell me if this it true or not.

Had a quick look and there appears to be a epad made by several manufacturers:
Asus
Zenithink
Pioneer
There are several clones of the advent vega, depending on your location depends on availability.
Advent vega - UK
POV Mobii - Europe
UX1000 - Asia
If you are in the uk, just keep checking the pc world or currys website, advent is a exclusive brand to them. They do come in stock but they are not up for more than 24-48 hours before they sell out.

In Spain you can buy the Advent Vega and the PoV Mobii in PC City and the PoV is 30 € more expensive.
In Media Markt you can buy only the PoV.

I bought the Vega ín Pc City for€300. Is the POV tablet more expensive?

329 € in PC City, 349 € In MediaMarkt

In holland the pov is €350..

The Vega is back in stock at PC World, Currys and Dixons. Just ordered mine.

Vega vs superpad / flytouch

Well I thought I would post this up incase someone was after a cheap touchpad and was thinking of the superpad / flytouch.
I purchased a superpad 2 off eBay last week and although it's slightly smaller in size (thinner bezel) it just doesn't cut it. It came the next day as the seller was in the UK. Spec's were 512MB rom and 8GB internal microSD card. This cost me £140 to the door. After trying to get to grips with it.. I could not even unlock it sometimes due to my fat fingers and the resistive touch screen. The speed of it isnt bad but after playing with my vega it now seems slow.
If anyone wants anymore details then please let me know.. but my advice if you can afford it is pay the extra £60 and buy a brand new Vega!!! Once you have updated the firmware with one of these roms on this site you wont look back..

I dont think they sell the vega in Europe apart from Spain. Clones are available, try looking for a POV Mobii, as far as i am aware there are a couple of versions available (3g and wifi versions)
With vegacomb at a point where it is more than usable for a everyday rom, you might have trouble finding people who are willing to part with there vega.
For the price, you will not beat it

Hi everyone, I bought one today so taking a look over the forum.
I went to PC World and Curry's but they had no stock and only had some for home delivery in a week.
I got one from eBay, an ex-display model for £170 with free delivery and 6 months warranty. Hoping it arrives pretty soon!
Now I'm off to look into rooting and putting vegacomb on it

Cheap price in Vietnam

Hello, I'm about to do a trip in Vietnam in december, and I just found this website :

The wifi only version is sold around 9,500,000.00 VND (450$) wich is really cheap for where I live (France).
I wonder if the unit sold in asia can be set in french or english language, and also if there is any internationnal warranty ??? ...

They're pretty cheap in the US too. I actually got a deal on mine when it launches (yeah, go figure...). Paid $429 for a brand new 16GB.

To be honest I would not by it personally.
If your tab will get a fault (touch the wood), sending to Vietnam might be quite a problem...

in canada i bought mine with a sim card with a 3 yrs data plan.
the result : Tab 10.1 4G+wifi 16GB 349$ woot!!

In fact I was looking for a replacement of my galaxy tab 7.0 and I thought the new Samsung would be the best choice. I hadn't taken a look at the tablet market from the day I bought my old galaxy tab. It looks that there are plenty of choices with other brands for less cheaper ! The acer iconia 500 and the asus transformer are in my range of prices, so I'm currently deciding for one of them ...

I'd sooner buy local, theres been time I needed to take faulty items back.

Selling my Vega

Hey guys, ive had my vega about a year and am now selling it as i have a Galaxy tab (bundled with my new fone, and dont need 2 tablets!).
Its rooted, currently running vegacomb but i can restore it to factory rom if you prefer, supplied with vega box, charger and 16gb microsd card.
Im in the UK, have pictures if required, but its in great condition, fully working.
Offers?
