Can't uninstall app - Wildfire General

I installed widgetsoid and it told me it had to be installed in system/app so i attempted to use adb to push it there but I forgot to uninstall it first...now I cant uninstall it it just says 'uninstallation not succesful'. Ive tried deleting the apk from system/app and the original. The orignal seems to have gone but the one in system/app keeps coming back. How do I delete it forever?

Issues reinstalling original apps

******
EDIT:
I figured I would try copying them all back at once and it worked. All bloatware apps are back up and running. No clue why it did not work when I did it one at a time... User error no doubt

I am trying to unroot and restoring my phone back to original, I need to return it for a replacement.
I removed the bloatware using "root explorer" I "moved" the apk and odec from system/app to sdcard/backup. Rebooted the bloatware appeared to be gone. I had no problems with the phone.
I tried doing this in reverse. In root explorer I copied and pasted the files back to system/app and rebooted the phone. the apps were not back and system/app did not show the files I had just pasted in the folder.
I also tried installing them via root explorer from sd/backup and installing them after c&p them back to system/app. Both times I got the same message that I was replacing an app and the app failed to install.
I have also tried c&p with droid explorer with no luck. The files disappear from system/app on reboot.
any ideas? Would a settings>privacy>factory reset, restore all of the bloatware? then I would just need to unroot the phone?

[Q] I delete Stock Apps - but they reappear on Reboot - Grrr...!

So I've mounted the phone, used adb to delete com.amazon.mp3.apk and Twitter.apk. To check, I "ls" the directory directory (/system/apps) and it shows they're gone - but when I reboot they're still there.
I finally got fed up and downloaded Titanium Backup and used that to delete the same two apps. Was told delete was successful... but when I reboot the phone, they are still there!
Why can't I get rid of these annoying apps - I keep running out of space, so they're sucking up valuable real estate. What do I do??!!
Is there a hidden apk file somewhere? Is there some file that prevents them from being delete? Do I need to do something like Empty Trash?
not sure normally when i delete apps with Titanium they never come back
use systemapp remover. works like a charm
SystemApp Remover Doesn't Work
I get a message saying "File couldn't be deleted, try again."
I guess this is validating in some way - indicates there's something truly weird going on.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Has anyone found a solution?
Thanks!
I have used systemapp remover before and got the same error, just try it a few more times and it usually works. I think it is an issue with it getting root access to slow.
Still no Luck - Stock Apps still in there...
Grrr....! So I've used titanium backup, stockapp remover - as suggested by previous poster, I tried over and over and over again to delete via stockapp remover, but with no success...
Help! Why are these annoying apps STUCK FOREVER in my phone! One of the main reasons I rooted was to get rid of them... soooo frustrating!
Does anyone have a clue why I cannot delete them?
Thanks again.
Seems that the links from the menu to the apps aren't being deleted when you remove the .apk. Try running "pm uninstall <program name>" from either terminal or adb shell.

Kindle Fire Market finally working

Using KF 6.2.1 stock rom rooted with Golauncher
I have been messing with various versions of apks for Market and Google Frameworks. Finally I did get it working and downloading Apps from the Market. To get it to work I downloaded the gapps.rar that is hanging around this forum and every other post on this topic.
I installed the GoogleFrameworks APK that was included in gapps.rar.
I copied a version of the Market (3.4.4 from my Evo) to my /sdcard/download/ folder. I renamed the Market.apk to Vending.apk.
Using root explorer I made the /system/app directory R/W to install the Vending.apk from the /sdcard/download/ directory . The Market APK I used was 3.4.4.
Again using Root Explorer I copied Vending.apk (after installing it) from the /sdcard/download/ directory to the /system/app/ directory and changed its permissions to r,w,r,r as described in the other posts.
After I rebooted it finally worked. No more stalled downloads or FC. GMail works without issue also, though Sync is another issue all together.
Note: I tried to do the normal instructions of renaming it to Vending.apk and copying it to the /system/app folder and changing the permissions. But if I copied it to the /system/app folder before I installed it, the install would fail.
Installing it prior to copying it to /system/app/ directory let me install it successfully and then copy/move it without any problems.
I hope this helps. Maybe this is just a random thing that it finally worked.
I can try to post the Market sometime (its not on this computer), but I am sure it is around somewhere.
Sorry if this is a repeat post.

Cannot find some preinstalled in \system\app after upgrade to ICS and rooting

Dear all,
Yesterday I updated my P7510 to ICS using the UK ICS release and rooted the thing properly. I managed to delete some of the preinstalled apps using RootExplorer in the \system\app folder, but for example I cannot find the apk to get rid of Pulse (what is the name of the apk in this case). Is it located somewhere else or is there another folder in which apps are stored as well? Please let me know. Thanks in advance.
Although I can help you with the location, manually deleting the apps from /system/app seems like to much "work". Just get Titanium Backup and uninstall (and probably backup first) Pulse and all the other via the app.
Thanks for your reply. In the mean time I kicked out all unwanred preinstalled apps manually, so I am only looking for the apk name of pulse
I found that some apps were just "Installed" have you tried to just uninstall them?

Not all apps are installed to /system/apps when you ODIN flash, check /data/app for the Pulse.

How can I turn action launcher into a system app?

Apparently the action launcher dev managed to implement Google now into it, making it work just like on the original Google now launcher. But the app needs to work as a system app. I tried downloading the apk from apkmirror and copied it into system/app and set all the right permissions, it didn't work. I also tried it via lucky patcher and titanium backup, still didn't work. After I reboot the app is just gone, like it was never installed.
Did you just throw it into /system/app? Because I tried that before as well with another app and the same happened. The solution was that you need to create a folder for the app, like /system/app/actionlauncher.
Edit: Wait, I'm wrong. It worked for me when I put the apk into /system/priv-app/yourfoldername. So try it with that location.

I installed the app normally from the play store, then I went into data/app and moved the entire app folder to system/priv-app like you recommend and I set the right permissions. I rebooted and the app is gone, it's like it wasn't ever installed.
Then try to put the apk into system/priv-app/ without any subfolder.
If you it's possible to create backups in this launcher, make a backup and uninstall first.

Tried. Not working.
Then I have no idea tbh. One of these two options worked for me a while ago.
Maybe there's some updated app that can do this?
I don't know. I think Titanium and Lucky Patcher are always held up to date and you said they wouldn't work.
Here's a screenshot of my system app's location and permission. I put it there, restarted, and it said "Optimizing app 1 of 1" like when flashing a fresh ROM and was successfully installed.
