Droid PRO Task Manager - Droid Pro General

The Droid PRO comes with a pre-installed task manager program that actually works well. Could it be possible to pull off that program to use on other devices?

Taskkiller app

Hey guys I was just wondering what app is the best. I have tried a bunch but they all seem to leave apps runing in the background. I have froyo 2.2. Thanks

You don't need a task killer.

Weird answer dude...
Advanced Task manager 4.1 can do this...also it has a widget to auto end applications and you can exclude apps from being killed
Nah, he's right. Its not Windows--you dont need to monitor the usage of resources by killing all running operations. By doing so, you end up just using more resources and wasting the battery just that much faster.
Thanks for the info guys.

Autokiller dose do a good job tweeking the task handling of android

Samsung Task Manager

I rarely use task killers as Android does a great job managing resources. The only thing i use is the stock samsung task manager. That being said, is therr any way to get thia on AOSP? I find it useful for closing apps such as the browser, without being shown all the other running processes.
Thanks in advance.

Home launcher

Anyone know if I can uninstall the stock home launcher after switching over to a better launcher. Even frozen with titanium, stock launcher still starts, sucking up my battery and processor.

Just use titanium backup to delete it once you have the other installed...
Make sure you have a home app... or else it'll hang your phone and you'll be learning how to use rsdlite

I installed launcher pro. That's the best I've liked. Learning rsdlite is no biggie as I had to use it 3 times already when following instructions elsewhere here on removing/freezing motocrap. Thanx for the info.

Google navigation not showing up in task manager

Just got the infuse, loving it so far.
Google navigation doesn't show under task maager. Therefore, I have to close it individually. Is this by design or a bug? I have installed launcher pro. I wonder if this change was made by launcher pro.
Thanks

try pull the skyrocket task killer .apk and installing it to system apps on ur gs3 u may need to root to change permissions though don't no for sure, task killers are 100% unnecessary but if u want this is how I'd go about it ...
Is there some benefit to that over the stock Task Manager built into the phone?
For some reason rather than show it as an app like Samsung had it on the Galaxy S 2, the Task Manager is in a different place on the GS3.
Press and hold the Home button and it will bring up a menu to select Task Manager or let you scroll through recent apps.
Not sure if that helps.
