Galaxy S II from Korea - Galaxy S II General

So, from what I read the GS2 coming out on the 25th in Korea is a CDMA phone.
I have a buddy in South Korea who I talk to on a daily basis. I was wondering if a Dev team would be interested in getting there hands on the GS2 phone. I can probably get it pretty quick.
I would only get one (or more) if devs want them to help boost early release roms.

Australian launch.

The Australian Samsung Galaxy Note launch will not happen till February!
While announcing it's Galaxy Note World Tour event in Jakarta, Indonesia,
"Samsung also mentioned that Australia will only see the handset come February 01 in 2012." according to Cnet.
February is quite some time away. Could Samsung be waiting to roll out ICS to the note before launching it in Australia to avoid more Apple lawsuits?
Samsung recently changed the look of the galaxy tab in Germany for the same reason.
I know companies launch products in different markets at different times for a huge variety of reasons, but I can't stand the waiting game
(need to get it on plan as a work thing, so no ordering from overseas, ha ha)
Also, I have been asking Optus about the Galaxy note:
-Online help confirmed that they are looking forward to its release on the Optus network and to expect to hear more soon.
-An instore sales rep also said that he had played about with one at training in Sydney recently, but they still have yet to confirm release date for the phone.
So looks like at least one carrier will be selling the Galaxy note over here

I live in perth and naturally knew it would be a life time before Australia gets this phone so I it ordered online. If you can afford it, it's worth it because I just went and stuck a virgin sim card in there and went on my way.
It's a better option than waiting till Feb and then seeing the optus deal somehow fall through and the note only being on telestra or something haha. By all means do what you feel comfortable with
Got mine from becextech
Took about a week from placing order. Came from Hong Kong. Had it for a week & very impressed.
Gave the missus my 3GS
My wife bought me the Note as an early Christmas present.... Ordered Friday afternoon from Handtec in the UK, delivered to my hand in Australia mid-morning Monday.
At the time it came in at 449GBP plus around 30GBP in delivery I think?
Screw waiting for Australian carriers to realise it exists, then buggerise around organising their 'deals' with Samsung to install as much crap on it as they can get away with before finally letting their privileged customers get their mitts on it for $79/month or more on a 2 year contract.
got mine from mobicity. it was a polish version that was shipped from hong kong to australia. got it within 3 days of ordering, which is pretty awesome. they also offer a local warranty, which is pretty nice.
most of the time, buying a phone in australia is silly. despite our aussie dollar being pretty strong right now, they still expect us to pay outrageous prices for a local model. as an example, i nabbed a brand new n900 on ebay for $400 from hong kong, harvey norman were charging $850 for an n900.
just buy it online, its worth it.
I love the fact that all 4 replies were convincing me to get it right now...
actually worked too!
I think I'll order one next pay check, since they will probably put it overly pricey contract at first anyway D: Thanks guys!
Got mine from Expansys, was here in a few days, screw waiting until feb so they can bake some crappy exclusive Telstra/Optus/Vodafone firmware with a ton of bloatware, probably also cheaper to get imported.
I paid $730 delivered, can't imagine the outright price from any of the AU carriers will be close to that.

t-mobile galaxy s ii

http://www.tmonews.com/2012/02/target-retail-stores-to-stock-white-t-mobile-samsung-galaxy-s-ii/
There's also a sale coming up this saturday for one day only through t-mobile. But I think this is a good alternative that may suit some others better.

Discussion of At&T Galaxy S III for non-US GSM users

Hello all,
Having observed the discussions and useful information in the similarly titled thread for US users, I decided to start this one for those of us outside the US who are interested in the AT&T variant.
I've already pre-ordered and am eagerly awaiting its release. There are a few questions in my mind such as performance comparisons with the international version, ease of unlocking, modder support, etc. Anyone found any reviews of the north american variant yet?
I guess unlocking and unbranding are not going to be problematic after developers recieves the phone. It should perform roughy the same as the internationaö version due to slightly higher clock speed. S4 uses more memory so that doesn't bring much difference either.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using XDA
I'll have mine here soon. I'll post once I get to latin america and can test it out, around 1 July.
How did you preordered? You paid the no-contract price?

any Note4 Exynos Devs switching over to Note7?

As in the title, anyone?
Since there are no devs interested in N910U anymore I am tempted to buy another device, Note7 specifically. Seeing that new Note will only have one variant this time for International version (SM-N930F), hopefully more devs interested.
Well, have a nice day fellow xda members/devs

Note FE International Version?

Are we likely to see this? Anyone have any insight to this?
I have the K version but would dearly love to flash a standard International ROM on it.
Launch of the N8 is getting closer and I'm starting to think Sammy are just going to stick with the Korean variants they've launched so far and that's it.
Maybe the FE was too popular in Korea? Maybe Sammy have realized that it would actually steal too much of the N8's thunder if they do an FE International release now?

This isn't proof positive, but, keeps the possibility open, lest we hear otherwise directly from Samsung:
Samsung Galaxy Note FE (Dual SIM) will soon be launched outside South Korea, Wi-Fi Alliance listing confirms

Thanks for that -- gives me hope.
Actually, a dual SIM version would be great. Might be tempted to sell my K and get that (I travel a lot) *IF* it was true dual SIM i.e. I don't have to choose between a second SIM or the Micro SD Card!

I've already sold my K Note FE,I'll be back whether the DualSIM becomes a reality or not,I'll give it until about October.
This time, outside of a carrier-free model,I'll get the SK Note FE.
I think it could be launched by the end this month. N935F can found on wi-fi.org.
Anybody know if Samsung Pay on other flagship international models could be used with US cards? Man, I really needed a new cell phone for the eclipse (using a Note 1 right now) and my coral blue is coming in tomorrow. I'm hoping I can sell it if Samsung Pay finally works.
EDIT: I do find it strange that they're waiting so long if this is really going to happen. With the Note 8 coming out soon, I can't see that being a good move. Either the FE stays under the shadow of the Note 8 (wasted effort), or it starts eating into Note 8 sales.
Recall how Samsung did not release the Note 5 in some markets and only had the S6 Edge+?
Maybe they will repeat that pattern with the N8 and FE?
