Before HD2, I had HTC Tilt2 (Rhodium), before that the HTC Kaiser (AT&T Tilt). It was a bit of an adjustment going from my 2 previous phones having full slide-out qwerty's to TS-only lol.

anyone care to enlighten me how the hell some people are getting 34megaflops on the EVO... am i doing something wrong... ?
I think it was pc magazine that did a mobile network data test recently and they found that here in raleigh Durham ATT's 3g was faster than Sprint's 4g.
The EVO has a much higher screen resolution than the Hero from what I know so that would explain Nanocore. The EVO's resources are being hogged by the HTC Crapware they have the need to install on every damn phone, so once we remove those and get to where the Nexus one is at(Google software only for the most part) then we can do an actual benchmark.

True I hope HTC sees this and gives us options to run their crap or bone stock aosp...
that neocore was unexpected... I guess the hero got a lot of life left in it after all...

Do those stats serve any further purpose or have any effect? Anyway. Just voted for it also. ;-)

i voted too, even though i didnt know precisely what i was voting for
Based on the high score and the low number of voters... Either it's a conspiracy or that people have less thing to complain about than other phones.
The other phones have much more voters in the hundreds of thousands. Naturally there should be more people with problems than among the 5.000 for our legend.

it simple...its not a conspiracy....
Its "Highly Rated" and hence no 5 ..not because of high no of votes......
More impressive:

A sad day indeed.
Windows Phone 7 Rom just took too long huh?
Yeah i was looking keeping an eye on developments, i'm in a fortunate position of owning a company and having 5 contracts with vodafone so pretty much every 6months i can get a new handset and just figured i'll get a WM7 handset...
But the HD2 for me was the first true proper phone that opened up the world of XDA and custom roms etc, really enjoyed learning about doing stuff to it, so i am a bit gutted to let it go (sounds daft i know)...
No! Id never sell it. Hows DHD btw?
DHD is pretty good, its smoother than the HD2 less juddery, its not better its different.
I really liked CHT on the HD2 and how everything was neatly organised on the homescreen, the CHT calendar function was better for me for business the android and HTC android calendar apps don't show today appointments if you use the widget (whats that about)...
The DHD is different its defo smoother i guess thats development chip wise etc, but i was a bit disappointed at first the HD2 is nicer to hold and with the option of delving in and out of android the HD2 was awesome, this DHD is growing on me though and its pretty stable too
The longwaiting Froyo for Htc Wildfire is as from today available via OTA. Should we start a Gingerbread topic? Don't think I could go through this again

if the update will be availible for me, are there any problems with my goldcard resettet phone while updating?

Or even one for the new HTC sense

looks like there is a small hope

"HTC will attempt at upgrading many of its smartphones. These will probably include HTC Droid Eris, HTC Hero, HTC Hero CDMA, HTC Desire, HTC Wildfire, HTC EVO 4G, HTC Incredible and HTC Sapphire. In about three months, Google will release Android 3.0 Honeycomb and there are rumors that HTC will produce an Android tablet around that time."
NOT OFFICIAL. So don't get excited about it.

everything looks ok, no data losses. but no live wallpapers.

who cares? palm and their turds
Well personally liked the software, I just thought their hardware sucked and yesterday I was living my life.... You should get one.

who wants a phone that cuts cheese anyway. and dead serious there are videos of the pre cutting cheese.... i tested it
I loved the software of my Pre, was just slow with small screen and hardware sucked. Sounds like all of those issues have been addressed. I may be giving it another try this summer.

If they'd released the Pre3 6 months ago, instead of 6 months from now, I'd still be using. The OS is far better than Android. But the Evo hardware blows Pre away. And now I'm hooked on apps not available on WebOS and which I'm unwilling to go without. Palm/HP are just too late to the game. I say this as a June 6, 2009, standing in line, Pre user.
Too little, too late.
Palm Pre3, 3x times the Palm crap. Pass!
