Hi, decided to replace my cracked digitizer by myself, so I buyed digitizer from Honk Kong , the seller told me that it is genuine. Ok, I payped 18.50 puonds for it. So I replaced my stock cracked digitizer with new one, but when I turned on my phone's digitizer was not responsive to touch like it should, the soft keys won't worked at all. Then I decided to install my stock cracked digitizer, and my stock digitizer works very good. Then seller shipped me replacement (second digitizer) and then I replaced my stock digitizer with new one (second), but the second one digitizer not working as it shoiuld be too. It works better then first digitizer but not work as works my stock digitizer. Might anyone here have any ideas?
You bought cheap crap from Hong Kong and are surprised that it behaves like cheap crap?

Why cheap crap, seller sad it is original. And it looks like my stock. Only revisions is different, mine F4 , and new one E22. Maybe this is the reason...

I had this problem. Buy one from a more reputable source even if it costs more. The first one I bought didn't work at all and the connecting flap to the MB was different.
The second one was exactly like my original and works flawlessly. I bought it from Amazon FYI.

I cracked my screen about a week after I got my Cingular 8125. Cingular basically told me I was out of luck. I ended up selling the broken unit on eBay, and getting a new one off eBay.

Any luck on the replacement? I broke by LCD and I was wondering if I should replace it or just get a new phone
I would find a repair shop who can replace the screen for you. It'll probably be cheaper than buying a new one. But if you feel adventurous, check this page:
http://supershackle.com/ikbenivo/?p=171
it's in dutch, but google is there to help you out with that
i've bought lcd+digitizer for htc legend from hongkong in ebay and everything perfect. it's an amoled one. xD

Hi,
I just dropped my EU HD2 and the glass has cracked and theres a hole in the corner, although the LCD screen is fine and the touch works perfectly.
Could someone advise me where to get a replacement and whether I have to get the whole digitizer part?
Are the ones on ebay ok? I saw a few that were between £10-£20 and wondering whether they are the genuine ones from HTC or fakes...
I also heard there are two types of digitizers, one that needs soldering and one that just clips in...which one is the right one?
Appreciate the help
Hi Mods
Could you move this thread over to the HD2 General section?
Everyone else:
49 views and no one knows the answer to this??
Mine broke, and i sent to the SAT, sadly they broke my motherboard replacing the glass and made a swap.... so i wouldn't dare to change it myself...
Whats the SAT? I can repair this myself, I just need to know which digitizer I need.
Ok ill try and answer your questions.
First,, your EU Leo needs to be un/soldered to motherboard. As far as I know only TMOUS has the clip lcd.
Second, well £20 isn't going to get you a OEM screen, not a new one anyway. Shop around, compare price/products, maybe get the £20 one and try it out could be as good as the OEM one?.
PS. Writing this from my eu leo with a 1/4 of the screen cracked ;bummer; and the thing is it cost me ££75 to get it fixed the first time around.

Soldering is only involved in replacing the digitizer. In most cases you can replace the LCD with the digitizer attached so you just need to remove the ribbon cable and replace the LCD and digitizer kit. Cheapest I found that is genuine is 50 quid.
In any case, I'm using this opportunity to get a DHD
Hi all, i have a question
So my hd2 fell and the screen broke, the lcd is still working and so was the digitizer but it stopped a couple of weeks ago.
Now i have the money and i'll buy a new digitizer.
My question is will the glass for the t-mobile version fit my european (or is it international) hd2?
I don't want to buy it just to find out it doesn't fit or something
Thanks in advance.
I read somewhere that Internation hd2 use lcd and digitizer combo that has to be soldered together but mine is click-on.
Is that the same one t-mobile version is using?
On the back of the lcd is says P/N: 60H00300-00P
EDIT: It looks just like this one.

There s a little bit size difference between the EU HD2 and TmoUS HD2....
It may fit, but u might face compatibility problems
Recommended that you buy the digitizer meant for EU HD2 from ebay Global easybuy
So as to be sure
Post #4 - Not all good advise ...
No size difference between lcd & digitizer on any model of HD2.
Main difference if replacing just the digitizer is fact one type is a solder connector & one a plug connector.
T-Mobile USA version was plug only connector.
EU version can be both depending on early or late manufacture or if been in for repair already it may of been changed to later version .
If have original SPL you can view the type via bootloader. If unsure wise to look first before ordering ...
Loads of info on this of you search forum:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php?searchid=154235078
you will need a heat gun to separate the two, then you will have to scrap all the double tape off and re-install new to keep the two and the housing together very easy to repair and very easy to break, Hint of advise, I would take the phone to a qualify repair shop for fix.
My girlfriend has dropped her S4 and the screen cracked. Having watched a screen repair video for the S4 I think I can do the repair myself but it seems that finding a genuine screen at a reasonable price won't be easy. Has anyone got any recommendations?
Good question! I need to replace the LCD on my brother's S4, after he went swimming in a lake with it. Bump
Just look at ebay. There are plenty of them. Just order one from china or hongkong if you want the cheapest. Every screen that's for sale comes from there originally anyway.

On eBay they're mostly 3rd party screens even when they claim to be genuine. Too risky.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think it's only the digitizer. It would be cheaper to repair but more fiddly.
