[Q] HD2 Stuck at Lock Screen - HD2 General

1. I bought a used HD2 with Froyo installed.
The Issue that I encounter is the touch screen gets stuck at the lock screen, if it goes to sleep and I try to wake it up, I cannot slide to open.
2. So I decided to install Gingerbread on it, I can do the setup, once the phone goes to lock, I try to wake it up, but can't unlock. Even when I reboot, touchscreen is unresponsive, tried to take battery in/out, nothing works.
3. So I decided to restore to factory by installing the "RUU_Leo_1_5_TMOUS_2.10.531.1_Radio_Signed_15.34.50.07U_2.08.50.08_2_Ship"
Rom
4. Everything wipes, I can load back to windows, touch screen works, then it goes to sleep.
Guess what, I can wake it up where the screen comes up by pressing the buttons, but the touchscreen slide for lock won't respond.
I even tested by calling I can answer the phone by pressing the call button, but no touch screen response.
Any help what I can do here?
Thank you!

How you installed original ROM

If you mean the original t-mobile rom.
I held down power plus the volume down button, until I went to the tri-color screen.
Then connected USB, until it said USB, and ran the Rom exe
It wiped everything from what I can tell and brought me to Windows.

I thing the best for hd2 is when format sd card and put in it stock rom for hd2 and flash from there

fyi - when i take out the battery and reboot in the phone, the touchscreen does not work at all.
Not sure which rom i should install.

well , I thing you must put stock rom from htc.com , because maybe you have some bug in the phone , I had similar problem before , and i put stock rom from htc.com , and then install hspl radio rom magldr cwm aggain and everything ok after that

Well Android was on the rom, so I went to T-mobiles website and installed the stock rom, but still issues, touch screen now not responding.

The ROM you flashed is a stock T-Mobile ROM. It is just the older version look for the 3.14 ROM on the HTC site or go to T-Mobile.com to download it. You will have to enter the IMEI number from behind the battery if you go to T-Mobile.com. also you can download them from the T-Mobile text and stock ROMs thread in the T-Mobile Windows Mobile 6.5 Development forums. Do not use the 2.01 ROM from that thread though it contians a radio ROM version 2.05.50.11 and that radio will brick a TMOUS HD2. Also I suggest running a task 29 on your HD2 fort then install the ROM. .Just Google Task 29 for HTC HD2 and you will find it.

but you installed the original rom with USB right , i thing you must try to install the rom from sd card

So I installed a rom from T-mobile still no luck, touchscreen not responsive.
For Task29, should I run 'Task 29 w/o mitty', then do the install for the t-mobile rom?
Thanks

Yes - I installed the T-mobile rom from USB via the PC.
How am I suppose to install it via SD and what difference does that make?
Thanks

I ran Task29, then did the t-mobile rom, touchscreen not responsive at all now.
i dont know if it a software issue or hardware now.

Go to the "[TUT] Flash your ROM / Radio via microSD" thread to learn how to flash via SD card it is easy.
And yes you may just have a hardware issue, usually it is the digitizer that has malfunctioned when you lose touch capabilities.

So what is the advantage of doing it by SD?
By the way I reinstalled MAGLDR and Gingerbread, still no go, the buttons work but no touchscreen.
How did the guy get the touchscreen working initially when i tested it today, but it stopped working when i was there, he told me to just install a newer rom.
i fell for it and now its not working.
i guess its digitizer but can't be for sure because it was working this morning for a bit.
thanks

Ì just know instalation via Sd is better , but you sure the screen is fine I just ask
p.s
just try to install stock rom via SD maybe this bug will be fixed

I'll try it - otherwise will have to see if a hard reset does anything, read about that too.
last recourse is to find a specialist to repair it or something
the screen is in mint condition

Just to let you and others know the deference between flashing via USB and flashing via SD card is this. When flashing via USB if you have HSPL on your HD2 it will not get reverted to standard SPL if you flash an official ROM. If you flash via SD card your HSPL will get reverted back to standard SPL if you flash a Official ROM. Also flashing via SD card is a little safer because you have no cable to get accidently unplugged in the middle of the flash.

I'll probably try this tomorrow, but after I do it with the SD card and it does not work.
Will I be able to redo the HSPL easily?
Ugh - such a hassle buying off craigslist.
thanks for all the input by the way

As long as you have a SPL that is in the list below after you flash the ROM you will have no trouble flashing HSPL back to your HD2.
SPL 1.42.0000
SPL 1.62.0000
SPL 1.66.0000
SPL 2.07.0000
SPL 2.08.0000
SPL 2.10.0000
SPL 3.03.0000

Reason to believe that a hardware problem, the proposed repair inspection

HD2 stuck at the HTC boot screen

Hello, I have some problems with my mob.phone HTC HD2: after using Flash mobile stop working, then I tried install windows and tried turn on first time and my phone shows white screan with name HTC and don`t work at all, then i tried reset and Hard reset all setings and turn on again and than screan appears again with name HTC.
When i conect my phone to pc by usb, so my pc can`t find that phone.
Can you help me with this problem.
Thank you.
you should get your stock rom, ONLY your stock rom, extract the file ruu_signed.nbh
copy that file to your sd card formatted to fat 32 rename the file to leoimg.nbh
phone off
hold volume down
tap power (keep volume held)
phone should boot to three colors screen and start to flash.
this will ONLY work with original rom.
Thanks for Help.
Same problem......
I am also stuck in the white HTC screen, (R 2.06.51.07 G 15.30.50.07U D 1.66.76641). I can flash from SD card and so i tried, using the image in the latest official RRU, no way, it doesn't fix the problem.
I didnt try any unofficial rom, i just updated to the latest rom from HTC, it worked fine. The problem occurs after i had to restart the phone while trying to connect to a xifi AP...
Any idea what i should try now ?
Thanks. You saved my day.

OMG! Thank you so much! I love you!!!!!! I was stuck on boot because my flash failed and i followed your instructions and now i can flash again!!! i was so worried and if it weren't for you i would be screwed. Really you are a HUGE help! Keep the good work up
how long did you guys have to wait till the htc rebooted after that flash? cause ive been waiting for over 30 minutes and i thought i made that wrong.
Note: ive used HSPL fist, then flashed it with energyleo.23547, but energyleo kept stuck in bootloader
now im pretty afraid of loosing manufactors warranty ...
well lads, pay attention: ive fixed that my problem all by myself. HINT: ive kept holding the buttons for to long, so the device got stock while starting up. so dont press the voldown-button for too long, maybe only for 2 seconds!
hard reset
Remember boys and girls - if you get stuck on the bootloader you can also do the following:
1. Remove the battery to turn the phone off, leave 3 seconds
2. Replace battery and hold down the vol down button and turn on your device to get into the bootloader
3. It should say 'serial'. Plug your USB cable in and it'll change to 'USB'
4. Flash your stock ROM as normal using ActiveSync method. This will also reinstall the SPL (in the case of people who can't get past the first white HTC screen). I did this after the first (and only) time I tried to do it the SD card method. Put my stock SPL back on my phone

im pretty sure that flashing over usb won't do the spl. only sd card flashing can touch the spl.
When I tried to flash (after installing HSPL) using the sd card method and it bricked I went into the bootloader and it put my stock SPL back on - hence why I said if the sd card fails

I'd be inclined to suspect that In your case the spl was flashed during the failed sd card flash, so was already stock spl when you then flashed the stock rom over usb.(which of course being stock doesn't need hspl )
Hi Guys
I'm having the same problem, however, I bought the phone second hand. My question is how do I find out what my stock ROM is?

you download HSPL, run it, and if your spl is anything else than 1.42 it will give out an error and no harm is done
Hey
Thanks for replying. Do I get the stock ROM from the HTC website, is there a way to get it as a .nbh file as I am currently on a mac.
thanks

White Screen and HTC logo
I have found a similar problem, I flashed the HSPL rom following the instructions to the letter in the NOOB section.
Restarted my HTC HD2 having hard reset, and it would start and begin the installation and setup, once the setup completes, the software requests a soft reset, at this point my phone hangs on the white boot up screen with the HTC logo.
What am I doing wrong?
Stuck on White HTC Screen after ROM update
Why is it that, having run the HSPL update on my HD2 and checked that its successful, does my phone hang on the white HTC boot screen when it reboots after setup.
I have installed the energy rom, the most recent version. It still hangs at the boot after the rom does the soft reset...
Help please?

Phone stuck at white screen with HTC

Hi there,
I really need help!
I wanted to flash my phone with a nbh file, but I could not enter my bootloader.
I had installed HSPL3.
Now someone told me to use Flashaholic ROM update utility.
I did this, and a black screen with a % indicator appeared, not too long, it restarted, and went into a white screen with htc in the middle.
Restarting with volume down button pushed doesnt bring me into bootloader.
What can I do now?
I really need help!
Unfortunately, if you can't get your HD2 to boot into the bootloader, there's not much to be done.
Are you sure you had HSPL installed? Because from what I have heard, HSPL is there to always allow you to use it for flashing stuff, regardless of the integrity of other software parts such as the radio or the ROM, so reaching the bootloader should not be a problem for anyone.
Can you connect it to your PC via USB? If you manage to get a connection, you might just have a chance to flash another radio/ROM.

I installed HSPL3, and it said it was succesfull so...
After that I installed a custom rom with an utility that came with it (Dutty's)
So far I know, I cannot get any connection, but I try to download a stock rom (an utility exe) from HTC.com.
But I think this won't work right? because you have to sync.
You could try and flash a stock ROM via the SD Card, see if that works. There are some instructions here on XDA in the ROM Development section, check it out there.
Basically, once you have downloaded an official ROM from htc.com, extract it as if it were an archive and get the ruu_signed.nbh. Rename it to LEOIMG.nbh. Then take your SD Card, format it to FAT32, place the LEOIMG.nbh on the card and put it in your phone. While holding down the volume down button, boot the phone and a white Loading... screen should appear and the flashing process should begin.
I`m afraid this won't work either, as the bootloader is supposed to show up in order for you to be able to flash anything, but it's better than doing nothing, so...

Hi, if I remember correctly, you already said in the Artemis-thread, that the VOL DOWN button is broken. If this is the case, I fear there is not much you can do...
Have the same problem too.
I've installed a few roms with no worries, tried one about an hour ago that performs a Task 29 and i'm also now stuck at the white HTC screen...
it says the task29 was succesfull and then got stuck on the white HTC screen and the rom failed to load as the laptop did not detect a usb connection...
I've downloaded a stock rom and put it on the SD card named LEOIMG.nbh and tried pressing the vol down button, the Red,green, blue, white screen appears i can see
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL 2.08.Hspl 8g XE
0x05
CotullaHSPL 0x30
Then "serial" at the bottom or if i have the phone connected to the pc then "USB" appears.
If i hold both buttons and perform a Hard reset the phone asks to press Vol up button then says restored really quickly then freezes at the white HTC screen..
Any suggestions
Cheers
Actually got it sorted now, the rom had the Flashaholic utility built in which i haven't used before.
As we speak the rom is now installing phew (stop sweating now)...
Thought i had bricked it...

The phone is empty, and has no bootloader, and no ROM.

task29 DELETES the ROM. You NEED to install a ROM. A Radio-ROM should be installed automatically with task29. If this isn't the case, you need to install a Radio-ROM too. You can either install the HTC ROM or you can install a custom ROM like forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=612580
Suggestion: Enter bootloader -> connect USB -> install ROM with CustomRUU

Well im not able to.
I did a HSPL before then I putted a custom ROM Dutty's on the device.
After that I putten a Stock ROM on it again, and then I used Flashaholic, and after task29 it got stuck.
Well no bootloader means no HSPL which is good news for your warranty coverage..
Just go to HTC service and play dumb " uhm i was playing around websites with a flash game and uhm my phone uhm rebooted and is like stuck ever since in uhm HTC logo"
Now if the case for not being able to load the bootloader is a broken volumedown button, yeah ur pretty screwed, prepare to dive in ur wallet.
Were do you live? If you need help and there's one living nereby maybe we can help (p.e. a full battery) I live in the eastern part of the Netherlands (Overijssel) PM me if you can come.
On the Kaiser (my previous phone) I also had a problem I couldn't enter the bootloader anymore, but I can't remember why or what I did to recover it.
- If it was an allmost empty battery and recharged it?
- If I have used a special tool to connect?
I really can't remember.
If I read your story, I think you have loaded a corrupted NBH thru SDCard method, otherwise i think you cannot wipe your bootloader. Task29 only wipes the ROM area not the bootloader.
Have you tried to contact Bepe or Cotulla, cause i think they know everything about (H)SPL.
Otherwise you can start building a new house (you've got your first brick )
have you checked you battery connections, the middle one is notorious for getting bent out of shape at which point the battery will not charge and you can't flash you ROM.

Try going to bootloader - hold vol. down and press and release the power button
Then try flashing radio, hspl.2.08 and then magldr 1.11
This might help
heck i tried reflashing the radio and the hspl and the magldr all of its goes fine until when i try to install a nand rom once i do that i gets all the way to the "reset now!" and just stays there at this point i just want to get a stock winmo rom back on so i can atleast make calls this phone is my only form of communication

What is your HSPL version ? Its written on the tricoloured screen of the bootloader ? Your phone was unlocked before you tried to flash a NAND ROM ?
Try and use a task29 tool provided here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5848003&postcount=19 . Extract it and run it properly ( with phone in bootloader mode ) and perform the task 29. Then flash a radio version which you can find it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=611787 . ( I suggest 2.14.50.02 )
My suggestion is to go to bootloader-tricoloured screen ( NOT Magldr ). Flash a good radio version and afterwards go back to tricoloured screen of the bootloader in order to flash a Windows Mobile ROM ( preferably a STOCK one ). Forget about NAND ROMs until you will be sure what your problem is.
PS : Very very important read for 2-3 hours ( to understand well ) what says here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=609477

Are you using the stock usb cable that came with the phone or some generic one?
There seems to be slight corruption while you are flashing the ROM.
Try using memtest86+ and test your computer's RAM.

I got this problem when tried to install WP7, then got "fatal hit 1 error" when booting WP7 for the 1st time.
Now my phone is bricked with T-mobile logo. Tried to HSPL, fash radio, flash OS (with the stock one) by task 29 many times, but it did not work. All flash process are okie, but My phone is still bricked
Any way to bring the phone to factory settings? Need help for an advise. Thanks a lot
Is your's one of those 1024MB ROM T-Mobile HD2s?
I am not sure if the the SD leoimg.nbh recovery method works. It flashes the SPL back to Original, including Firmware, and RADIO.
If your HD2 only has 512MB ROM, then just download the Official HTC HD2 ROM from HTC's support site (If it is UK, then select UK, if it is USA, you are kinda S.O.L.)
Extract the RUU(something).exe file using WinZIP or WinRAR or 7-ZIP.
There will be a RUU_signed.nbh file, rename that to leoimg.nbh and put that in the ROOT folder of your FAT16/FAT32 MicroSD Card.
While holding the Volume Down button, power up the device.
It should detect the LEOIMG.nbh file and flash everything back to default.
*WARNING*
Make sure your HD2 has 512MB ROM, NOT 1024MB ROM
Make sure your MicroSD Card is formatted in FAT32 or FAT16
Make sure the the Official RUU ROM is v1.xx and NOT v3.xx
Good Luck!
BTW: The Stock Cable seems to have a DIODE soldered to it. Regular cable is fine, but it doesn't protect it from current back flow during charging.
I started with a task29 then flashed a new radio and then I reloaded a stock rom via usb since i couldn't get it to work via sd card. I was able to get the phone to start but i still am running into problems when flashing in general with the phone on multiple computers so part of the problem was solved but every now and again it just shuts of and i have to reflash

Thanks, but mine is 1024MB ROM T-Mobile HD2s. Now whatever I flash the phone, it is still bricking, so i think it would work if I removed HSPL and bring it to the default factory.
Any idea to do this?

I did task 29, then updated radio 2.14 for T-MOUS, but tri-color boot loader sill comes with HSPL 2.08 which means radio was still 2.08? Then I updated factory ROM ship (OS 3.4 and radio 2.14). I can not find a Rom with only OS (not including radio)
Did you get the change of radio to 2.14 in boot loader? Where to download a factory ROM with OS for T-MOUS?
Thanks
Well, this is the thing, T-MOUS controls the ROM releases. The deal they have with HTC refrains HTC from releasing or hosting any of the ROMs. So they should be hosted on T-mobile US website.
Anyways, from what I know, there are only 3 releases so far for US T-Mobile HD2
2.10.531.1
2.13.531.1
3.14.531.1 <--- DO NOT GET THIS ONE (Contains SPL 3.03 cannot be flashed to HSPL 2.08)
After you do a RECOVERY using the bootloader, you will have to reflash the radio to one that is compatible with Android, after that you reflash the radio to one that can be used by Android. Then you install MAGDLR.
I vaguely remember rumors that using a T-mobile will lock the phone to only T-mobile. If you have an sim unlocked T-Mobile, you might lock it again.
Please do so in that order.
BTW: If your phone still can get to the BootLoader (TRI COLOR SCREEN), it is not bricked, it is just not behaving. Bricked means you can't even turn it on for some people.
OMG, they are... LOL!

My phone just reborned now. Thought it was totally die when stucking with "stick together" logo. Here are the steps I did.
1) Redo exactly step by step in this post (focus on steps: HSPL, campatible ROM, hard-reset, remove/reinstall memory card + Sim)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=609477
2) Try with different SIM CARDS for your phone. I tried 5-6 ATT cards, and only 1 works and helps to go through stick together logo. If you see these words R G B at the bottom, then you phone revives.
SO happy now! Thanks all for your previous posts
No luck
I've tried everything but nothing.
I Get the "Fatal hit 1" when I'm trying to enter AD Recovery.
I'm not able to boot it with WM stock - it just get stucked att the first HTC screen.
Anyone has an idea on how to solve this?
I've have made a few steps several times but still nothing, starting to get frustrated.
Try to flash a different size partition of cwm, see if that will get you in clock work recovery...

Thank you so so much! It worked!
This is how I did for you other guys how's experience the same issue.
I did all this with the HD2 Toolkit.
1. Wipe Task 29
2. Install HSPL 2.08 HSPL (Don't now if this is needed but did it anyway)
3. Install MAGLDR
4. MAGLDR Reperation with Partition 200MB Cache 8MB
Now I was able to enter AD Recovery and install zip from SD card.
Android is loading at the moment and now it started up!
Thanks once again!

However, i can get to the red, green, blue, and white screen.

i left my phone uncharged causing it freeze, so i reset it.

First off your HD2 is not bricked. If it wax bricked it would not so much as turn on.To save your HD2 do one of these two things.
Download the official update from T-Mobile.com. Look behind your battery to find your IMEI number to enter. Next make sure your HD2 is good and charged I know this is hard as it will not boot but just let it charge for a good while as you do not want the battery to die during either method of flashing. Now while the phone is off hold the volume down button down and press the power button but keep holding the volume down button down. When the phone is in bootloader(multicolor screen) connect your phone to the computer via USB and wait for Serial in the white bar of the bootloader screen to change to USB and for your computer to show it recognizes your phone then right click on the update package and click run as administrator and run the update utility. This should flash the stock ROM but if you have MAGLDR you will loose it and if you have HSPL you might lose it.
Now the secound option you have is to right click on the update package and click on view or explore wich ever one you see and find the RUU_signed.nbh file and rename it to leoimg.nbh or LEOIMG.nbh as it is not case sensitive. Then take a 500MB to 4GB SD card that is formated with Fat 32 and place it into a USB SD card reader and plug it into a USB port on your computer. If you are not sure about the format. Go to "My Computer" and find the card reader, it will be a removable drive or a mass storage device (make sure to make a back up copy of the intior contents of the SD card first as it will wipe the card clean)and right click on it and click format and then Fat 32. Copy the leoimg.nbh file to the root of the SD card. After coping it to the SD card place the card in your phone and put it into bootloader the same as mentioned above but keep the volume down button held down until you see searching on the phone screen and then let the volume down button go. You will have to press the power button to comfirm it. This should flash your phone to complete stock as it will remove MAGLDR, CWM, and HSPL if you have it on your phone.
There is other options to but I highly suggest going back to stock and then starting back over again as to me it just simplifies things some. Also seeing as you have a T-Mobile HD2 do not flash a radio that looks like any of these 2.04.50.xx, 2.05.50.xx, or any radio like this 2.xx.51.xx as any of these radios will brick a T-Mobile HD2.
after flashing it back to stock rom, can i flash an android rom again?

Yes you can reflash a Andriod ROM if you go back to stock but you would have to flash HSPL 2.08 again, flash MAGLDR 1.13 again, and CWM if you want to use it.
If you just want to flash another Andriod ROM just turn your HD2 off and then turn it back on button keep the power button down until the main menu of MAGLDR comes up (that is if you already have MAGLDR on your HD2) and then follow the instructions from the Andriod ROM on how to flash it using MAGLDR or CWM if you have it.
If you do not have HSPL and MAGLDR on your HD2 uou will have to flash both to hour HD2 befor you can flash a Andriod ROM. To flash these do this but your HD2 into bootloader (muticolor screen) and connect it to your computer via USB cable and wait to see USB in the white bar of the bootloader screen and that your computer recognizes your HD2 then flash wichever one you are wanting to flash. You will have to do this for every individual thing you want to flash. You also need to flash HSPL 2.08 first then MAGLDR 1.13 and then CWM if you want it.

No you have to have MAGLDR to install Android. Try installing Clock Work Mod (CWM) and use it to install your Andriod ROM. Just do a search for Clock Work Mod for HTC HD2. Then read and follow the instructions in the ROM thread to use CWM to flash it.
i have a few problems when trying to install any rom using magldr.
First, whenever i boot up to the magldr screen, sometime it will freeze and i have to take out my battery.
Second, When installing a rom, it gets stuck at "the booting android from nand 123456 go go go" screen.
What could be wrong with my magldr, i already tried to re-installing it and it still acts up.

Take your SD card out of your HD2 and then boot it up and see if you still have the problem. If it is gone you need to back up your SD card and do a full wipe of it and reformat it using your computer and a SD card reader. Format it Fat 32.

i tried that, and it seem to work, but it still often freezes on me during usage. For example, when i am on the android market, it tends to freeze up. is there any way i can fix this? and can you recommend me an android build that doesn't have this problem?

Run a task 29 on your HD2 then reclash MAGLDR and see if this helps it should, unless you have some bad boot sectors.
damn, i also tried that too, but it still freezes on me. i think i have a bad boot sector, how do i fix this?

Well you can not fix bad boot sectors persay witbout replacing the NAND memory chip which acrually requires the replacment of the intior mainboard of your HD2. Because you can not just replce the chip cause of the wah the mainboard is made. Wht you can do is use a JTAG device and some special software to go in and mark those sectors as bad so the phone will no longer try to use those sectors.

Bricked Phone - Did android NAND kill it?

My phone has been running an Android NAND for a couple of months, and the other day it just froze and then on rebooting i get a plain white screen.
I can get to the bootloader and so far nothing flashes to it
HSPL - Critical Error
SD-CARD flash - red numbers or just continual loading
USB flash - sits at 0% then gets error
so what killed my phone?
and is there ANY way i can get it working again, if not...i will throw it in the bin or perhaps smash it up with a hammer and post a youtube video here...im that annoyed! I wouldnt mind if i continually flashed roms, but i didnt...flashed on Android NAND and now its dead.
Find yourself a standard Winmobile rom and radio for the HD2 (if yours is a TMOUS device make sure you choose the correct radio and rom type for this device) and flash them to your device. With a bit of luck your device should then boot up.
If you then wish to go down the Android route again then read and follow all the instructions on here to do so. Don't forget to make sure your battery is fully charged before you attempt the reflash.
Good luck, hope it goes well.

Do you still have the Andriod ROM on your HD2? If so boot into MAGLDR by turning the HD2 off and then pressing andbolding down the power button. Then use the volume up and down keys to scoll through the menu and find recovery and press the send button to select.
If you nolonger have the Andriod ROM then I suggest running a Task 29 on your HD2 then try to flash the official ROM to your HD2. If you are still having trouble getting it to flash do not get discuraged just keep tring to get it to flash, heck trythe USB method for awhile then try the SD card method for awhile. For some unknown reason to me a lot of people here on XDA have been having trouble getting their HD2 to flash a ROM. But all of them just kept trying and eventually got it to flash a ROM. Best of luck.

Did you run a Task 29 on your HD2 as I mentioned in my previous post? I beleive this will help you out. Also if you still have MAGLDR on your HD2 you can try to reflash the Andriod ROM. If you no longer have MAGLDR on your HD2 then you can reflash HSPL 2.08 and reflash MAGLDR by usinig the bootloader and the try flashing the Adriod ROM. Just make sure the white bar of the bootloader screen says USB and not Serial before you try to flash anything.
T-Mac, I have this problem. It's not something as simple as with MAGLDR or CWM. You can't even get a bootscreen let alone flash anything from HSPL (everything sticks at %0) lol.
Dude, your best bet is to try go flash a custom WinMo ROM. I used one of Artemis' ROM's. It had a .nbh file so I renamed it to LEOIMG.nbh and put on my SD card (512-4GB max) and then boot to HSPL and it'll allow you to flash the ROM.
It'll flash correctly but once it reboots it'll go back to the white screen. After that, it'll be able to charge when off so let it charge overnight while off, then in the morning try unplug the USB from the phone then pull battery and put it back in then try boot. It worked like 3 times for me so you might aswell try it.
I personally think it's a problem with MAGLDR and maybe it becomes corrupt or something.
hi
im gonna try this now, but i have a small problem...it did flash HSPL and now it is on 2.08.000 and it wont flash back
its one nightmare after another.
made a little progress, when trying to flash stock rom from sd it just sits on loading.... no error but doesnt do anything else.
Try this turn your HD2 off and remove the battery for a couple of minutes and then put the battery back in. I do not know if the HD2 has a reset like this or not. But a lot of electronicsreset certain things when all power is disconnected. This may not help but what can it hurt. Best of luck.
