Figured I'd make the I formation a little more available as this was buried in a thread.
A bootable Asus Transformer port of the latest Galaxy 10.1 rom with touchwiz. Needs some TLC. Currently has no working wifi or rotation sensors.
Lets get this cooking. I am no dev, only looking to make this public here on xda. The current dev is done with it and too busy to continue. Any other devs able to whip something up with this?
Problems:
Constant Battery Temp Warning every few minutes
Wifi does not work (can work by using Rom 1.0.2 + #16 kernel)
GSensor does not work (rotation widget helps)
Camera does not work
No Graceful shutdown (long press power to turn off)
List of Donators to make this happen
Player911 - $20

How to Flash
You'll need to download both, the Galaxy Rom port and a Transformer Kernel, to a microSD card. You'll have to flash via ClockWorkMod Recovery.
Working WiFi works using Galaxy Rom 1.0.2 + Version 16 of Clemsyn's Kernel.
Galaxy Rom Port:
Galaxy Rom 1.0.4
Galaxy Rom 1.0.2 (Required for working WiFi)
Kernels:
Clemsyn Version 17 (didn't enable WiFi for me)
OR
Clemsyn Version 16 (Required for working WiFi)
Instructions
Throw the rom and kernel to the microSD card and boot into Clockworkmod Recovery (Start with TF off. Hold Vol-Down and Power. Then Vol-Up at Logo)
Perform a Nandroid Backup
Factory Reset
Flash zip from SD > Select Galaxy Rom
Flash zip from SD > Kernel
Reboot.
Enjoy.
Donate to Clemsyn for his Kernels
This makes the xformer into an actual galaxy tab rom? Guessing u wouldnt know if flash is 30fps in 720p due to.no wifi correct/?
You would need wifi to test that because I doubt BT teather works

The issue has already been fixed,
you just have to uninstall Flash and reinstall it

no first you must install the hacked hulu version then uninstall it then then install marketverion then flash at 30fps will work

Yeah we are in some desperate need of some real ROMs! The Dev'n has slowed down a lot
Hopefully Doc you can work some real magic. You're right Ive noticed 3.1 seems slow. I know I know nobody wants to hear it, but lately my iPad 2 is looking better and better. I dunno nobod has nailed it yet, but I hear the new Toshiba Tablet might just be the one. Honeycomb needs some real help

Is it the Virtuous galaxy rom in Acer Iconia Xda thread you mean? And is that fully functional, with auto rotation and so on working?

On the epic 4g touch forums, I got a new phone not long ago. I've been doing a little development on there, haven't posted anything yet (been developing for myself for now, to practice.) Maybe I will stop through here n try my hand at rom building, I have a rom I want to try to make. I haven't been using my tab as much since I got this phone (its got a 4.5 in. screen!!!) And since I broke the glass on my Iconia. Still works fine, but lately I've just been using my Iconia for Netflix while I use my phone. I want to do something a little extreme, namely get touchwiz running on the Iconia (not a port of the whole rom, just tw)

Not at all, its purely cosmetic. The LCD is untouched and the touchscreen works fine. Its been broken since about august, and still works perfectly, just looks ugly

I currently am running Thors rom v. 14.2, and it comes with his kernel. Do you know if that kernel will work with his? There are some apps for the Acer that wont work with his rom because it is recognized as an asus

yes I am. Sorry if it's a noob question, but I am a noob to flashing roms. I like the looks of your rom and really want to get back to an acer based system so I don't have to guess what works with my tablet and what doesn't.

Not a n00b question, but it has already been answered in the OP in bright red letters.
"If you want to flash another kernel with this ROM, you do so at your own risk. I have no idea who's kernel will work with this ROM."
If you flash this ROM according to the directions in the OP, you'll be fine though

There's no "insert sim card" nag on this ROM, unless you've installed it on an A501, or didn't follow the explicit install instructions in the OP.

Check out the kitchen sink being brought to us by jokersax at his website. The link is in that thread in the Dev Section. I can't post it cause I'm technically still a forum n00b.
In his new update, there is a port for gummy. I tried it & it works, but kept getting error 419s when I tried to download anything from Play. It's a pretty sweet Rom & I will definitely use it once that issue is addressed. The kitchen sink project is phenomenal to say the least & one of the greatest feats on XDA so far imho.
Ok so i have attempted a port of the galaxy note 10.1 jellybean rom, using CM10 as a base i have run into a bootloop you can download this link and try it out also will be my logcat
also if you can tell me how to fix this i would be happy to do it too

Did you split your boot.img and change the ramdisk image and such? While retaining the 500 kernel?
If you are going to port something, this is one of the basics.
Just changing a few hardware files, won't work.

Well, you said it all, probably there is no memory in the the place the kernel is trying to setup its stack, is your kernel an A500 one or is it from another machine with a different memory layout? because it smells like the latter.

Sorry to say this but you are a very unstable person, you already made another thread some time ago regarding MIUI in the iconia A500 but you did not finish anything and you quit and now the same thing happens again. You only make people get insterested in something and then you abandon the arena. This is very disgusting and rude for people who try to believe in the developers' work . But Moscow Desire gave you another chance but you did not take advantage of this oportunity-.

Hey all, Team Vanir just added Ovation to their official nightlies a couple of days ago. I haven't installed it as yet on my HD+ but if it's anything like the one on my N7, it will be great. It's an excellent mix of features from CM and AOKP with Team Vanir's special touches and tweaks.
The first nightly 09/24 has been released, give it a look.
Get it here, just scroll down to the Ovation build: http://www.emccann.net/nuclearmistake/VanirAOSPNightlies/
EDIT: Currently, 09/24, 09/25 and 09/26 builds are not booting, just goes to a black screen. I pm'd one of the lead devs (DHO) and hopefully it will soon be rectified.

Thanks for posting this, actually saw your post on Vanir for nexus 7 as was thinking of upgrading the rom on that, but would have missed the ovation if you hadn't pointed it out, so much appreciated!
EDIT: my only concern before installing is whether trim is enabled or not, as I have a samsung emmc, though it is the 32gb version, I am reluctant to install as the nook was a ebay purchase so no warrenty.

Yeah, I also thought about the trim issue. If it's built from verygreen's device tree, it should be ok but I'm not sure. However, it may be a moot point as I am unable to get either the build from 09/24 or 09/25 to boot flashing with TWRP. It just goes to a black screen and has to be hard reset twice to get into recovery. Also just tried installing with CWM and that also was a no go.
Don't try installing at this time, I'm going to PM one of the lead Vanir devs and see what he has to say.

Since I haven't heard back from the dev yet, I made a post tonight regarding the ovation builds not booting past the bootloader on G+. Maybe if more of us that are interested in this rom respond, we'll get some positive results. I haven't seen anything on G+ mentioning ovation and the dev I pm'ed hasn't been active on his XDA rom thread since 09/24. The build for 09/27 also doesn't boot, so he may not have even seen my pm and the Vanir team may not be aware of this issue with the rom.

I am eager as well. Running it on both my Nexus floor and Samsung Galaxy S3. It's an awesome rom. Hopefully it will be fixed for Ovation soon!

I heard from killersloth the lead devs from vanir: nuclearmistake and DHO were working on fixing some errors for ovation. so I guess we should just wait.

I believe it's pretty much autobuilt daily/nightly for all their supported devices, this way all commits in general are current. When a fix specific to our device is implemented, the rom will be up to date and ready to go.
I have heard from the dev, DHO and he is working on it. He said he feels confident that he will get it going. I have been testing each nightly as they come out but I'm hoping that he pm's me again to let me know when it's good to go.
Hang in there, hopefully...soon.

The laptop man, it's so busted. If I had free time like I did before I would take up the offer from PAC ROM because they have remote build machines I believe.

The last nightly I tried was 1004 and it still fails to boot. I see there's a 1006 build from nuclearmistake, haven't tried it yet but I don't think it will boot. Both DHO and nuclearmistake have builds, DHO stopped posting his as of 0930.
Hopefully, that means he has been working on it???
