I want a device to boot on external power
i want to make it in a car and wil work when driving
when stop driving the device will turn off (when the battery is empty)
the next time i start the car i will have the phone turn on without pressing the button
isn't this posible?

my phones on/off switch stopped working.
so i had to turn on the option for unlocking all buttons when device is in sleep mode so i can start the phone by pressing any button.
but one day i forgot to charge my phone and battery was discharged.
now i am unable to switch on my p3400 as power button is not working.
is there any way to start the phone without on/off switch.
put the charger wait for yellow light
then hit the reset button

My Hard button lights are alway on and when the phone goes in to sleep mode I have to connect the usb or charger to access the phone,when I press all button hold them and the screen will stay blank untill I connect usb my phone is activated with xbox/market place working fine
Is There a easy fix to this or will I have to Reflash my hd2 to wp7?
one more thing my power button does not work at all could this be the reason? when I take my battery out and put it back in it automacialy turns it self on.
I've turned my S5 into a GPS unit for my car. It's running barebones CM13. My problem is that where I want to mount the phone I will not have access to the power button (I would be able to get to it for repair and debugging but not for normal use). I've been searching and trying to figure out how to make the unit auto boot on charge but was unable to find the playlpm or lpm files in my bin folder or anywhere else for that matter.
I was hoping someone could tell me how to either have the phone autoboot when charging or how to use the Home button as a power button when the phone is off (all guides I found were only able to do this when the phone is on which gives me no way to start the phone in the event the battery dies and it shuts off).

so my power Button is busted, and i think my volume down button too, or i didnt turn on debugging, dosent matter, i cant turn it on using the hold volume down plugin charger meth, it just charges.
is there any way to power it on, were under lockdown, is there a way to force to boot through USB maybe?

my phone (Samsung A40) has a problem. sometimes when my is turned off and i plug it in it shows no reaction. when i press volume down to start (because the power button is broken) it begins to vibrate in intervals. only when the battery is empty the vibrations stop. there are also some times, when i plug my phone it, the display indicates that it's charging and it is possible to boot up the phone.
maybe i should also mention that i opened up the phone the replace the battery and the volume flex cable because the whole unit didnt work. now when phone works, everything works normally except for the power button.
why does it sometimes start to vibrate and sometimes just works fine? how can i fix this problem?
