How to view pdf in stock browser - Xoom General

I need to use something besides dolphin hd because my school online learning website is buggy in dolphin. Is there any way to get something similar to the pdf viewer plugin for dolphin that will work with the stock browser?

Is there a specific need to view PDFs in the Browser? Otherwise you could just download the PDFs to your internal storage and view them using another application.

Ya they pdf files I need to view are not downloadable from the website. They are embedded in a weird way
I even tried my girl friends iPad2 and it didn't work. I think it is the website.

Best browser?

Rooted with s off and running iced glacier. Stock browser always force closes when I try and view videos like sharks game highlights and any videos really. Tried miren. Eh. Seemed like it ran slower for general browsing so I installed it. What's the best browser to use? Skyfire? Dolphin? Miren?
Thanks in advance
Kevin

Install flash from the market.
I use the stock browser as it's integrated into the OS and gets the job done.
I use skyfire for video viewing and miren for everything else. I might try using mire and flash more, as miren seems, to me, the fastest of any browser I've tried.

I'm really partial and very happy with Dolphin HD

I use Opera Mini because it is much quicker than any other browsers that I have tried. The only downside is that there is no flash plug-in available. Although when you go onto Youtube, you can click the "watch video" link and it will then let you choose whether to play it with the Youtube app or the regular Internet browser.
In my opinion Sky fire all the way!
I use and love dolphin hd

i agree, dolphin browser is pretty slick and user friendly, but i use the stock one because the glacier rom v1.1.5.1 set it on the dock bar lol

How do you do that - couldn't find that setting?
Thanks
I did try this prior to the post but no video. Can anyone else see the videos?

Cleared the cache. Getting video under I pad setting. It won't play videos within the browser though like in iPad opens video full screen

Browser of choice?

I'm curious as to what browser you guys like to use. I've used Dolphin Browser HD for as long as I can remember, as I never really fancied the stock browser.
I don't really know about any of the other browsers available, so i'm looking for something new to use (and others might be too). Any suggestions?
I use the stock one for daily use, if I run into a page that insists to be viewed in mobile form then I switch to Dolphin.
I use opera mobile.

Opera Mobile. GPU acceleration makes browsing smooth as butter

No broswer is as smooth as Opera Mobile on Android. It compares to the smoothness on Safari on iOS

Tried it out. It runs VERY well, but nearly all of the pages I visit direct me to the mobile version of their site. Is there any way to change the user agent in opera so that I get the desktop version every time?
Thanks for the tips...I'm definitely switching from the stock browser on my Droid X!

Pretty sure there was a thread here on XDA about that. Might want to do a Google search about that. "opera mobile 11 android desktop agent" All the sites I use direct to desktop so it hasn't been a problem for me.

Thanks for the tip! Found out how to do it, and works perfectly. I couldn't find it in the settings, so I figured it wasn't built in.
+1 for Miren. Only issue I run into is embedded videos just leaving a blank spot on the page, and also opening an android_asset/webkit page in the stock browser.

I've been using Firefox 4 mobile on my phone and tab, i'll probably try opera now because anything has to be better
I using Dolphin Mini right now.
I've tried Firefox but its just too slow and too CPU intensive. It's sad because it's what I use on my MacBook Pro and would live to be able to seamlessly sync everything.

I don't know about anyone else, but the stock browser on the Fascinate is horrible compared to other Android powered phones. I'm not sure what it is, but it just runs like crap. AND NO ANIMATED GIF SUPPORT!!!! (Custom ROMs appear to not work either, it's really weird actually. Animated GIF support goes in and out)
So i use Dolphin HD mainly. Normally I prefer stock, but since switching to the Fascinate. I use anything else, BUT!
for some reason Opera Mobile won't install on CM6. Bummer.

Odd. The stock browser feels the same as my old Droid's. Not much of a difference.
Back to the topic: I use the stock browser. It fills my needs perfectly. I'll try out Dolphin HD and Opera to see how they are.
I just tried dolphin mini again last night. After about an hour of use I saw no clear cut advantage over stock (for how I use it).
I don't use gestures and don't open multiple tabs on my phone. My web use is mostly simple lookups. My serious web use I do on my desktop computer. Almost every thing I do on my phone is app based. So the stock browser suits me fine and is as fast or faster as both dolphin HD and mini.

I've always preferred xscope over stock and dolphin. Will try opera
+1 Miren

Ditto. Dolphin is the quickest to start up, and works really well.
Opera mobile works great, but has less functionality than, say, Dolphin. You can browse the web, download, and that's about it.
My HTC Wildfire S runs MagicOS (Unicorn Hair, Rainbow Extract and Pixie Dust).
I would have to say Dolphin Browser.
The stock browser (please don't call it Internet Explorer ! ). Less options but so fast...
i'm using xscope and it works pretty well. i like the clean look and flash is also working good. you also can browse in fullsceen mode and hide all status bars.
dolphin here too.
biggest disappointment was firefox. how can they get a pc browser so right and a mobile android one so wrong? maybe next version then?
Dolphin... I've used opera mini at first, then switched over

[Q] Chrome Desktop Sites

Hi,
I'm about to pre-order this tablet but before I do, can someone tell me whether or not Chrome loads desktop sites or does it load mobile sites like on other Android tablets?
Does Chrome load Desktop websites by default?
Hey,
By default it loads tablet optimised webpages (if the website supports it). If it doesnt its just loads just a standard desktop website. But for the tablet sites there is an option in the chrome menu to view this site as desktop.

Awesome! That was just the answer I was hoping for. I'd be a little annoyed if I bought it to have mobile versions load up. If you have a Nexus 7, could you take some screen shots for me of a few websites?
