Any improvement? Any updated?
this post is from 01.04! It may be an April's fool
looks to me that its real. it has just been added to the wiki for our phone. no DL's yet tho
I add to the wiki without hard proof (only if it looks contradictory i dont)
but it's a really subtle april fools if it was one, a good april fools would be saying it's GB (since we know they're working on GB anyway)
There's no real reason to believe it's a joke
I received my dell streak this morning. Below are the details
Android Version: 2.2.2
Baseband Version: GAUSB1A134700-US
Kernel Version: 2.6.32.9-perf
Build Number: 15274
Can you make a nandroid of it? Preferably before making any edits to system files?
Screenshot?

Hopefully those will receive their streaks will be able to make a nandroid and share it with everybody!

To be honest I am new to android, I will try to find getting required files. If you could point to docs as how to do that - it will be helpful to make things faster.

i ordered 4 unlocked dell streaks over a week ago. I am expecting them shortly.. Is this an EU build or a US one?
US based on the picture

Unlocked builds are inherently region free. Techinally even carrier branded ones are too if you dont mind the branding, they dont care what model streak you have/what carrier you're on

I could, but I currently have no plans to root my phone. It's unlocked, so no AT&T crapware, thus no need or desire to flash an alternate ROM or clean up the phone.
You dont need to root to nandroid, only CWM/streakmod installed (which it'll uninstall itself automatically afterwards)

If u look in your memory card, there will be file update.pkg
You can upload it here . It should be simple and easiest one
( With nandroid backup u will spread your personal info here )

That's not true if you remove those images, personal data and system data are clearly seperated into different images

i tried booting the boot.img from this update on my hero, nothing...
edit: system needs to be stripped, is ~30mb to big for the hero.
could someone please upload the "system.img" for me?
I have a bad internet connection and for several tries it couldn't complete the whole RUU update file
system.img is pretty much the entire size of the RUU. If you can't get the RUU, I don't think you'll get the system image. And Benhaam mentioned he's had this for days, and that it's what he based his leaked version on (ie. apparently might not be final version)...
cann anyone give me extracted (.zip) everything in ruu (system.img boot.img)
please thx
ive managed to port this to the hero using the original app_s method used for porting hero to the G1, couldnt shrink it enough for the hero system partition, got everything working except wifi, its a bit slow but definitelly usable if your ok using a data connection instead of wifi.

Don't think that is the actual shipping ROM, although I may be mistaken. Benhaam had this one a few days ago (the watermarked one). The Legendary Alpha is based on a newer, although slower (at the moment) one. That's the one I'm trying to optimise, and maybe the base of Villain3.5 although we don't know...
Final version ist looking like that:

Legend is released here in taiwan since April 1, containing already the 1.31 ROM. I thought that one was posted somewhere already , so no need to feed
So I found NoFrills-AOSP and I downloaded it and so far its pretty nice, but there is like nothing about it anywhere. It looks like the guy took CM7 ripped the CM settings out and added the default launcher which honestly I dont mind at all because its pretty much perfect so far. I really just want to know who made it and to tell them thanks and that it would be great if they started a xda post for it because its an awesome rom.
found a thread on it. http://www.simply-android.com/discu...or-samsung-galaxy-s-vibrant-t959-082720011/p1
Awesome thanks!
The guy is Ngiordano.
He actually started work on CM7 for the Motorola Cliq.
The guy is awesome, anything he does is worth looking at.
And no im not one of his fanboys, i actually worked with him on building CM7 with him for a little
How's the battery life so far?
Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk
I have been at work all day so I only broke the phone out once during lunch so it has been going 19 hours so far with 65% battery left. So ya its pretty rockin on standby at least. Also extra sd card does not work which is kinda annoying and if anyone knows how to fix it please let me know!
holy hell, this thing is nice.
EXACTLY what I'm looking for. Just an AOSP 2.3.5 build for our phone.
This ROM has the GB bootloader/emmc mounting problem. Any word on if the dev is going to include the CM7 fix?
He said he's going to look into the problem today.

The camera needs some work.
If you have an FFC (like I do), to enable it don't forget to download the latest galaxysmtd build here:
http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=galaxysmtd
pull out /system/lib/libcamera.so
and then copy over the libcamera.so file as here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14464862&postcount=3365
Right now i'm seeing banding in the HD video and 4 of me in the FFC, but that seems to be the same problems going on in the CM7 thread, so who knows if/when that'll get fixed.
I heard 135 hours on the battery life
^ you heard bull****.
also screenshots please? but by the talks of it since its AOSP, the good ol' regular no themed GB right?

Worst case just flash a Mango ROM to your phone. I've used the Mondrian one here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1254384
Works perfectly.
That's another question. Where can I find the link to flash a required SPL and how I can flash the ROM?

Hey guys!
Yesterday i brought this phone......i mean bought it online and got ti yesterday......as i booted it showed some dft logo screen while booting,....
I doubt whether its an official htc rom.......and its windows 7.5 ....where as afaik it shud just have had windows7.....so i doubt wther they hve given me a 2nd hnd product and the person who was usin it had been in xda so he flshed the dft(dark forces team) rom.
Maybe some cud plz help on my doubt........
Its sim unlocked i mean the operator is at&t but i can use other sims....coz its unlcoked. So is that maybe for unlcoking the sellers flash some unlocked rom?....
wanted to confirm. plz help!...
Lucky you! Someone else has already done the hard work. Your phone is developer, interopand full unlocked. You can sideload and flash to your hearts content. However you are probably not sim unlocked if phone is AT&T branded. It is an easy fix as many shops will do this or you can get code online, either for a small fee of course.
Yes this phone can get Mango 7.5 but you only can get it from the unofficial one. The latest is 8779 if not mistaken (please correct me if I am wrong on this) but I only found 8773 Tango.
Before you update, make sure you check this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1195647
After that, use this guide to flash the ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1164377&page=2
Tango 8773 (free download without passcode):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1685058
Hope this helps! Cheers!

Ok, the build number of the kernel (AUTO LOCAL VERSION) is the same as on base 1.61. So I assume the kernel didnt change. Good to know. Then my soon to be released kernel mod will be compatible with this update. (the local version is gea92418, same as on 1.61)
Ummm... the Indian spec version just got an update.. 1.62.707.4. Anybody on that?
But my kernel version is different.. @tbalden
Don't see much of a difference up to now, compared to the old 1.61 base.

If you plan on trying custom kernel, backup system and boot partitions, and install. My fair bet it will work just fine. If you might have any results good or bad let us know
Same here, I have just updated to 1.62.707.4
Feels a little smoother if anything.
Also I don't remember HTC Boom sound now has two modes in settings. Music/Theater
Anyone else have anything new?
Music and Theater was there since launch of M9+ on 1.08 too.
Can someone give me the update in img or zip format to install since it refuses to install coz my phone has root and twrp recovery
I think a few of us are getting too carried away with root lol. I, myself, sure had to catch myself. Don't forget that most of us do not have a custom recovery which means if you brick your device, you'll probably have to pm the devs and if a lot of that happens, they'll end up with an even bigger inbox than before root lol but my main reason for the thread is that everybody is speaking on unlocking the bootloader but I haven't heard one word on a bump'd recovery like on the G3? Is that even possible on this phone? By the way, would it be risky if I tried the universal init.d app? Kinda wanna try L Speed on this.

Lol who's being a "donkey"?
Only the 815EU and 811 have unlocked bootloaders hence TWRP the rest of the g4 community does not have this benefit... On the subject of bumped, pretty sure that exploit used has been closed by LG...if you guys thought root took long the wait for another BL exploit likely will be much longer. I hope I'm wrong but I can't see another one being found for a while. Seems this time around LG really wants to lock every avenue down. The next coming soon firmware update will patch the current root backdoor, also the root that vnmobile discovered seems to be patched as well, although he hasn't released any details, it could very well be the same backdoor.
