clock work not working in recovery it wont allow me to install from SD but if i go into Rom manager i can im baffled plz help

Hi guys, I just got a mytouch 3g for tmobile, its the orginal one and i run a 1.6 OS. Ive been trying to root it using the guide by candymanmike on this forum, when i try to load a ROM it get stuck on a page with an exclamation mark and if i press home and end i get a list, i try to apply sd:update.zip but it gives me the error that theres no such file or directory, so i decided to wipe data/factory reset, what have i done wrong and what should i do from here, or should i restart the process
which recovery did you flash clockwork or amon ra?
i run clockwork, now when i install the rom cyanogen 6.0 (ive also tried 5.0.7 incase 6.0 isnt meant for my phone) it resets my phone and puts me in the recovery screen, from there i try to do apply the sd card but it says it cant find.
when i tried to use clockwork i never even made it to the recovery menu so i used rom manager to flash amon ra and didn't have a problem after that but if you got to the recovery menu using clockwork you have a different problem than i thought you did
You need to make sure the rom you're flashing is on the root of the sd card. Not in any folder, just right there on the sd card.

My idea blade(Zte V880) is not booting in CWM recovery mode. My phone is normally booting and working but it refuses to boot in recovery mode.
Bcoz of that i cannot take backup of my phone nor i can flash custom rom. It is stuck at android logo when i try to boot in revovery mode...........

Are u sure u flashed the correct recovery for ur GEN? Try experimenting with different recovery versions. I think its the last option when u open the ROM manager app

Had the same thing on mine. And as Ice Cream said, you gotta try different CWM recoveries. Worked for me, and now I'm about to flash ICS

latest CWM version should be 5.0.2.0 mate i have found not problems with this recovery version and my phone version is GEN2 if you need any help let me know mate
I had the same problem, it happened to me when i dowloaded cw via data connection, not using wifi. usually with the cw i download from wifi i can boot into that but still it doesn't work ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=22440894 ) :/

But when I want to enter the clockworkmod recovery.
I can't get in. While loading 123456 and say go
It stopped.I dont know what happen to my HD2

ROM Manager does not work with MAGLDR, it even makes your CWM stop working.

am using TWRP recovery mod am backup my stock ROM through this mode and after yseing some custom ROM I decided to back stock ROM so I recover its successfully done but o face some problem... I can't modify my internal storage not a single thing cant be delate and in galry I can't access any video any PIC... plz help me...
And plz guide me hot to move philiz touch recovery mod...

Go to recovery and wipe data
