I know this has been talked about before, but it is now driving me insane. I just tried using "Guitar : Solo Lite" ,and the sound is awful, can anyone else confirm.
Edit ::: Try strumming chords up and down in in rapid succession.

I'm pretty sure it was removed in the update. When the eye loads it just does a quick vibration. Try talking to the guy that did the custom boot animation with sound. He should be able to help you.
Ya it's the update I just confrimed it with a sales reolp at the big red store

That wasn't part of the boot. It was after your phone boots up and it "Prepares your SD card". Its still there for me on rubiX Focused 1.0

Does anybody know what this is? I was checking what has used my battery in the settings menu and this showed up as having used 3%. I have no idea what it is....... Running JT's super clean ROM and stock kernel.

Compass. I learned that because catch.com "compass" would not let it go after closing the app it left the process hanging at 60% till reboot.
The full process name is /system/bin/sensorserver_yamaha
Edit: More definitive answer in capture.
good day.
Thank you, chopper - is this something that is normally supposed to be running? I never remember seeing it before - is there any way to close it or is it an essential function?

yes, it's normal and essential
it facilitates orientation/screen rotation
(ie, accelerometer/compass)
Thank you! My day is now complete - I learned something new

I'm rooted and back on stock rom. I'm using 928droid black glass theme, with launcher pro. For some reason any time I play music the player only plays a few seconds of the mp3, then starts flipping through songs really fast, then it eventually says that the file is not supported (but it's all mp3). Then any song I select says the same thing. First I thought it was a problem with the rom, so I left flyx and went back to stock, but now it's happening on stock. If I restart the phone, it well play for a little bit, then do the same thing. Any help appreciated!
IMO the stock blur music player is an unmitigated POS. My advice would be to take a look at PowerAMP instead. Best $5 US that I ever spent.
+1 to PowerAMP.
It was made by a Dev here on XDA and their is a free version so try it out.
I did try a couple different players, all with messed up results. I should add that I'm not overclocked and the phone is now using battery like crazy and rebooting randomly every so often. Reloaded flyx. Don't know what else to do...
If it was my DX:
Hard reset first. If that doesn't work then sbf.

If its a problem with FlyX then you're out of luck. The Dev who made that ROM quit the DX and went with the Droid Incredible. If I were you I would try SBFing then using a newer ROM like Rubix or Fission.

Ugggh. No thanks... Not yet anyway. So far it seems flyx is stable.

What and how do I sbf? I know I can search and probably find it, but to save a step or give does anyone have a link?
Another +1 for power amp. Best music player for android. Winamp got its lama's ass kicked solidly by this app.

Since switching from SC 2.8v to Dark revenge 1.0 every time I open Pandora I get a force close. What I don't understand is I've used it while running super clean. Tried clearing app data..fxpms to no avail. Any fixes?

Uninstall from market and reinstall. Sometimes a reboot will fix it too.

As much as I like XDA the search function is worthless!
I am running samurai kernel 2.0.8 and marcusant revival rom v1.
Plugging my phone into usb does nothing. On my phone other then show charging. No pop ups... PC keeps popping up with unreconized device... Drivers are installed everything used to work fine prior to acs 5.5 rom. Anyone else experiencing this issue or know a fix?
I previously had gps issues that would just not work no matter what I tried. Switching from acs v5.5 to marcusant revival v1 fixed gps on it's own.

Does it show anything in the drop down notification bar? Could be a bad cable. To see if it is hardware or software, backup, Odin to ec05 stock and check it. Even if it recognizes it on EC05 it could still need you to update the drivers.
Nothing shows up there....
Ec05 works great.
I think it's the lock mod. I can't change batteries either. It only boots using this one battery........
