Hi,
This is a flipfont apk, SegoeUI WP font pack.
You can download it straight away and load it up 'cause it's an apk.
It works great with Handcent, ChompSMS, GOsms etc.
Enjoy!
But I looked at the TTF inside the font is Bauhaus ITC, not SegoeUI WP?
EDIT: The real font is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=678190

It says Bauhaus but it is SegoeUI if you load it up. My friend created this and gave it to me.
Some renaming was involved in the process. Obviously didn't change it back.
how to revert if necessary?

Don't think you can without recreating the font pack again & unfortunately he did it a while ago & can't remember how.
When I load it on my Desire, it says. segoe and looks like segoe. I'm unsure as to why sometimes it says Bauhaus and other times segoe.

All app inventor apps get an ugly default icon on the phone.
Can that be changed and if yes would you explain how?
currently no, that can't be changed. The developers say they will add it.
I only bring up this old thread to answer the same question I had.
Have you worked with the packaged app to see if that's true? The way an apk is made, the icon is a standard png file. Couldn't it be changed by editing the apk, then resigning it?

I used Apk Manager for this - worked great!
ScreenShot: Here
I used the steps mentioned here to install the fonts.
Both the ttf files are 7zipped and attached in the post.
Thank you! Installing now....
Arre mast yaar! Trying it out now!
Badluck here. After copying both files and restarting, phone was booted with default font.
lai bhari.............. but is that your own screen shot??...
anyways a great news
Just out of curiosity, in what specific countries is this type of writing used? Is this what we in Norway would call "Arabian" writing?
Sorry if I seem ignorant, but I am eager to learn.

I got around to trying it. Here is my input:
It works, but there are a few caveats:
1. Hindi fonts are displayed, but not properly. The font file(s) provided only supports basic devnagri fonts and not "joined" characters. For example it cannot properly display the word हिन्दी, because न and द are joined. Instead, they are separate characters.
2. Latin characters and spaces have become bigger. If you have app names, menu items, calendar items that are more than one line, the the second line gets cut off.
3. Make a backup of your original font files! You will most likely want to revert back because of 1 and 2
I want to read Hindi websites using the browser on my i9003 (different from i9000), will this font change from English language to Hindi completely all the menu text etc?, I don't want that just need the browser ability to render & read Hindi websites.
I am using Samsung GTI-9003 and whenever i am trying to paste the hindi fonts in to the system> fonts, it is not getting paste...
even i have try to delete the old fonts and try to paste the new,but it is rejecting...any help?

Yea, you can try it. But please note point 3 in my previous post. It does NOT change the regional language. It just gives the phone and programs ability to display devnagri fonts.
Or an easier option since you are only interested in browser capability is to use Opera for Android. Search around on google and you will see how enable devnagri support. But this is only for Opera, and not system wide.

You need to mount the partition in r/w mode. This requires root and an appropriate file manager such as File Expert.
easy way to read devnagari fonts
I used:
1. mangal.ttf from my windows machin XP/7
2. remaned mangal.ttf to DroidSansFallback.ttf
3. backup /system/fonts/DroidSansFallback.ttf
4. replace DroidSansFallback.ttf with the new DroidSansFallback.ttf (renamed mangal.ttf) using ES file explorer
5. Reboot
Worked on may galaxy i9003
Ranjan,
Thanks for reporting this I will try your method & see if it works, what fw are you using?
try indian version of gingerbread DDJV9 released by samsung few days back through kies in india.Hindi fonts are working great
Hello,
Can anyone get/build Segoe UI font for my unrooted LG G2 4.2.2? or even Kitkat Roboto font?
Is there any place/store that provide a collection of a decent fonts (other than LG SmartWold)?
Is there an easy way to build/convert ttf fonts to LG format because apparently Samsung font doesn't work with LG

Do you know iFont?
If you pick Roboto from the fonts list, it will be replaced with whatever you have installed through ifont.

try a billion times it wont work!ROOT!ROOT!
I have tried to recreate an LG font apk but the fonts are in a format that includes Korean characters and they have a font.xml and font.dat that are font-specific. I'm not sure how font.xml and font.dat are generated & I can't read them even when decompiled... I created an installable apk but it didn't show up as a choosable font. Still trying a few things but no solution for non-rooted users at the moment.

I think they are standard ttf files with characters from several languages included. Samsung had a digital signature on their fonts but LG does not seem to. I think the key will be reproducing the xml and dat files in the assets folder with the font and possibly having a font that uses all of the same characters.
the new ifont has that function to convert ttf to apk.Just try to download a font and at the moment you open it the button is down in the middle!

LG apks will not work on other phones but the stock installed fonts like you are talking about can be found in system/fonts. (See attached pic)
You could rename them to an existing font and push them to a Sony or Samsung phone.

The only way to change your fonts without root is to check in Settings - Display and wallpaper - Font - Font style, the download button and download the ones offered via galaxy apps (they are not free!!!). Sorry...no root , no other alternative. Cheers!

I use HiFont app. Search it on google playstore. It's pretty decent. If you're looking for specific font, but it's not on HiFont app then you can download it off Google and HiFont will automatically detect the downloaded font and will ask if you would like to change it the font you just downloaded.
NOTE: I have no root.
I use iFont (Donate) and prefer ubuntu font according to my personal taste. No root or restart required.

( bump of an older Post I made )
So, I got an S7 edge a while ago and I decided I wanted to install some custom fonts on my phone. So i went to google play and downloaded a few flipfonts. I went to settings>fonts and selected a font to use as the default and hit done. Unsupported font error! I was browsing XDA and saw another thread with a reply that said something along the lines of the font needs to be signed by monotype, something like that. Another reply to that same thread said that editing the samsung sans apk and replacing the samsung sans TTF file with your desired font and resigning it makes a valid font apk. How do you do resign the apk? I can add in the font that i want but it gives the unsupported error again. Thanks in advance!
