I likes listening to the music with my own BOSE IE2,cause the original headset sucks.
last time,I flash CM 7 RC3,I found that it can control music play by the volume button, it is really convenient. but CM7 RC3 drains my battery soon, I have to turn to Android_Revolution_HD-4G_3.3 rom(thanks to mike for his great work).
Then I found that the music play control funtions dones't work anymore?
So,is there an another way to let the volume button work for music play? I really need this function, thanks!

Hi,
I have installed coreplayer on my trinity and it works ok- sounds so much better than windows media player!
I do have a few problems with it though-
it seems the phone will not wake up from sleep state very well- it takes a few presses on the wake up button to wake it up......
Also, when syching my blueant X5 bluetooth headphones to the trinity it wont sync while using core player- i have to go into WMP and start a song there, and then resync the headphones. then once i close that program and go into coreplayer the music is now working thru the headphones. Why is this? Any way i can fix it?
Also, my headphones work great with WMP as in i can hold down the volume up key on the headphones to go to next song etc but cannot get this to work for coreplayer..... i tried to remap a button for it under menu but it wouldnt let me choose a button on the headphones- it didnt register that i was clicking it...... is there anything i can do to get this to work?
thanks
Scott
Hallo all
I hope this is the right Forum for my question. I used a long time Touch Flo 3D with the music tab to her my music. When you press play, u can press the power button and the music is still playing.
Now I decided to turn Touch Flo 3D off and try something other (like Pocket Plus). I use now Core Play to her my music. But when I press the power button the music stops.
When I don’t press the power button I can hear music but I am sure it consumes much more battery.
Is there a way to set Core Player to still play the music even when the power button is pressed?
Sorry for my poor English ^^
I think the only way is if you have the headphones plugged in.
Thank you. I works with Headphones!
That was exactly what i wanted to know!
I'm using PocketMusic, it can play music while the phone is off.
So does windows media player....options/ customize buttons. Headphones or speakers, it doesn't matter!!
with touchlockpro is possible, when set to sleep
I use my music player quite a lot, and am looking for ways to improve on the experience on Android phones.
What I wish to do is to be able to control the music in the following ways, regardless of whether the screen is turn off or on, and regardless of whether the music program is running in the foreground or background.
- long press volume up button: go to next song
- long press volume down button: goo to previous song
- press both button together: toggle between play and pause.
- normal volume up and down still controls the volume
I found a program in the market place, but it only works when the music player is in the foreground, and the screen must be on.
I use this feature a lot on my iPhone before bed, and hope I can do the same on my SGS.
Is there such a program you're aware of in the Market place?
that's interesting
however, I find it easier using my Bluetooth A2DP for that sort of things.
it works both in my car and my stereo headset
i can remote control the play of the music before/next, stop, pause, play, random, volume, etc
best is, if a phone comes in, it automatically switches to phone mode, and when the call is over, it resumes back to music mode.
The only single problem i've found is, i don't know now to answer the 2nd call via bluetooth, if 2 people are calling me at the same time.
I don't use Bluetooth. Also, I love connecting the music player to a proper sounding speaker system in my bedroom and lounge.
I am just using the default Samsung music app, so maybe a simple player switch will suffice...
I am coming from a iPhone 5. One thing the iPhone does very well is play music. There are a copy of issues with my S4 in this regard that are driving me crazy, I am hoping you guys can help me resolve them:
1. Volume rocker on headphones does not control music volume. As far as I can tell the volume rocker just doesnt do anything at all. Is there a way to make this control music / voice levels? Very annoying having to fish for the phone to actually move the volume rocker.
2. Previous doesnt work. On the iPhone you can triple click the button on the headset to either restart the current song or go back to the previous song that was playing before. I used this quite often as i sometimes like to Binge on a particular soundtrack. This does not seem to work currently, triple pressing the button simply goes to the next song (double tap) and then pauses (single tap).
Loving the S4 so far, I definitely hope the above is something that is possible to fix though. Thanks a lot guys!
Try google play music? The volume thing worked on my s3 however I've yet to test ion s4... Also i use poweramp
sgh-i747(d2att)(sgs3) on latest cm10.1 or ultimatum
my headphones work on the s4 so far... volume and pause/skip tracks also works. single tap button to pause, double tap to skip etc. maybe u got a faulty headset?
Yeah sounds like a faulty headset...mine works

Or push it further in maybe? It seems to be hard at first to press in the headphone all the way... loosen up over time
Questions go in Q&A

remember it has to be the s4 headphone not apples they wont work
I have a question about the headphones with controls that are bundled with the Note 3. They have 3 buttons for volume up, down, and pause.
The thing is, I use Poweramp as my primary music player, and whenever I double click the pause button to go to the next song it takes my phone off vibrate and turns on its system audio. This is a pain in the ass for when I don't want my notification/ringtone sounds on, but am listening to music and want to skip songs using the headset controls.
Any thoughts or solutions for this issue? Are there any headset settings in the menus that I'm missing?
