I've never used it on the Atrix. Bought it when it came out. but it just drained my Desire!
Plus i have always prefered a more stock look. But no denying its really smooth and has fantastic looks.
I use it as well, i like the look of it, it really has some cool eye candy. I haven't noticed too much of a battery drain, wish it had some more widgets though
I have been using it March. I have no complaints. I switch launchers from time to time to try something else but I always come back to sod shell 3d. Espierlauncher is the only other launcher I like on the atrix and I use that to make my wife and friends mad since they all have iPhones. I am running. CM7 and I don't see any extra battery drain with this launcher. Assonance as they make it available for tablets my eeepad will be running it

It sucks. It randomly closes and then when hitting home button has to reload. Too bad because everything else works top notch and its amazing looking.

I used it way back when I had Windows Mobile and I loved it, but for some reason I don't feel it's the same on Android.
Don't get me wrong, it runs good on the Atrix, but it feels like overkill for a launcher.
Maybe if it had more useful widgets I would give it another try.
I always come back to Launcher Pro.
PS. Btw, it's real name is SPB Mobile Shell 3D ;-)

Oh well I did. I'm not paying 15$ for a launcher regardless specially this one its got a few nice Widgets yea true but wat is so special that makes it cost 3-4x as much as others ?
Sent from my Atrix-4G, stock 2.3.4 (rooted)
I'd like to try it, but I could never justify $15.00 for a home replacement launcher or almost anything in the app market.
It is a nice launcher, but how customizable it isn't keeps me from using it regularly. Not to mention it frequently crashes with no error, just a black screen then says 'SPB shell is loading...' Navigation and transitions are generic and redundant in some cases. Most of the SPB widgets look nice, but leave a lot to be desired. Updates are infrequent and all the major problems have yet to be resolved.
Its a nice product to demonstrate a futuristic-looking phone but in terms of functionality, it's like putting the steering wheel in the glovebox of a car.
If you haven't checked out Go Launcher recently, I highly encourage it. 100% free, developers update the app at a feverish pace, and it is amazingly customizable.
Has anyone got TSF launcher working on the Note after device reboot?
I've paid 16 bucks for this, and every time I restart my phone it force close and TW launcher would come up instead!!!
Also, where is the dialer? Or I've to go through Contacts, then dial the phone???
These things are uncalled for, they should have provided a demo, not the lengthy show off video...

In the devs defence, the videos I've seen on YouTube are very impressive. I definitely think it would be worth a trial to ensure its worth its value, but in what I've seen its completely different from most other things around.
Please don't assume all launchers are of the same value... may as well buy a £10 feature phone because the N7000's £600 is a rip off in comparison!

hmm? most of the features that are in the demo are in this version. a few icons look different here and there (ie. folder icon), but for the most part, its more or less the same. the only thing that is notably different is the music widget not being as good as the demo made it seem.
@OP - uhhh... you just use the app called 'phone'. it launches samsung's default phone app.
its not a bad launcher, but not worth the $15.
for $15, i would expect something along the lines of SPB Shell 3d launcher - where its not just a launcher UI, but also includes a whole range of custom widgets that provide useful functionality.
Add missing map widget. Also it's just launcher. It needs more widgets.
I cannot add shortcuts. Missing live wallpapers. A folder animation is missing.

Then i install Nova launcher, turn transition to the fastest. Wow, now my phone has over 300 mb free ram after boot up and is fast. And I mean real fast. For those who need speed. Go with Nova, and you retain most of the touchwiz features, like smart stay.

Apparently it's going. I will really miss it. I don't think there is any need for two thick black bars on a 7 inch device. I like having the extra space and I like the aesthetics of the tablet UI, especially with a reduced nav bar. I don't know why they are removing tablet UI and if the devs can do anything about it. I hope they can! Will you miss it too or is it just me?
Edit: Turns out it's just a rumour, phew!
Most will miss the 10" tablet UI but honestly, I don't expect that I will. The centered buttons are not that big a deal and the "Odd" way the Nexus 7's notification system lurks around, unobtrusive enough that I probably won't care.
I will be more interested in things like Miracast support and web browsing performance than I will be in the UI changes.

I thought I would hate it when I first saw it
But honestly, I like it. I was forced to use it for the first month before I rooted my n7, and I got used to it. Then I installed a tabui ROM and imo it doesn't work properly on a 7 inch screen. I know a lot will disagree but I am just sayin
I use the normal phone ui now, its just more consistent and easier to use for me. If I want more screen space, I will remove the bars with 'expand desktop' on the ROMs I use

things i hate about standard nexus 7 UI
no quick access to brightness. in tablet UI i can quickly tap the time in lower left hand corner and adjust brightness on the fly.. cant do that with nexus 7 UI
i hate how i dont get Tablet APPs and instead get the phone app for youtube gmail etc..
those are the only things that make me to to tablet ui..
if i could have quick access to Brightness AND native tablet youtube and gmail apps in the standard nexus 7 UI then id be fine.
i really do love the expanded youtube app in tablet UI 4 nice rows in portrait mode compared to phone youtube app. yuck.
Yea the tablet mode is supreme. If it doesn't "work" right then it isn't implemented right. EOS has it so stupidly simple that it is a godsend. You can enable/disable it on the fly and it doesn't screw with your other apps. Just combines the bars into 1.
The notification pulldown menu on the stock UI is horrible. Needs fullscreen or something. Looks tacked on like an afterthought.
I will be disappointed once 4.2 hits and it goes away. Remember tablet UI has to be present to unlock it. Google may remove it completely to streamline their OSs.

Nova and Apex are free, there are paid versions which you can unlock certain features. Completely different to Action Launcher which doesn't offer a free/trial version.
At least with Nova/Apex you can see how it runs on your device over a day or two compared to Action Launcher which you basically have 15 minutes to trial it and if you don't like it you only have 15 minutes to request a refund.

I was concerned about this too - I think you can open the app drawer with the home button, but some apps you want will still be at the top of the list. Infact, if you use the A-Z most will be at the top.
Does anyone know if there is a way around this (e.g, when you press the letter they are offset from the top by a couple of apps)?
I will certainly keep an eye on this, I was quite impressed with the frequent updates for tweetlanes.
The app drawer isn't really on the top left, you can press the home button and it will open, and you can also just swipe right when you are on your "left most" home screen.
I use this on my Nexus 7, and I think its great, good to see something different and not horrifically overpriced!
For me, all it needs is a landscape option, I wouldn't really use landscape on my N4, but I would use it quite a bit on my N7!
