Hello, Im sure everyone is aware of the Xperia Play games currently on the market. Since most of us dont have an Xperia Play yet, I have an idea. Couldnt we just edit our build.props to trick the market into thinking our phone is an Xperia Play?? It seems entirely plausible to me, how else would the market know what phone it was?
So far, Ive only edited the fingerprint, as I understand that is the only information read by the market on other phones, but im sure there is something else going on here. Have a look and lets figure this out together!
Code:
ro.build.fingerprint=Sony-Ericsson/zeus/GRH78C:2.3.2/3.0.E.2.52/user/test-keys
The only part I am unsure about is the build number, es209ra, that is the stock build from an X10. I have been scouring the net for information and the best ive found is the about phone screen.

Yes, there is a slight typo in the barcode, and go here to create barcodes: http://invx.com/code/?
funny i have been doing this for a while..
This may be a stupid question. but i figured i'd ask anyways. what can i do with these bar codes? i mean i know this dream can read them in apps like shop savy. and i know there's a way to enter contact info with them (but dont know how) but whats this all about?
i've had this one as my avatar for quite a while now, along with other people.
I've seen these types of barcode on contact cards etc., but so far, i've not found any use for them (except hiding offensive messeges )
they seem pretty unnecessary to me tbh.
Please forgive me if this has been brought up. I tried searching, but searching for the word search is a nightmare. Just wondering why Fresh and Damage's roms quick search box does not pull up web suggestions like in this video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Suc2KGCBkXI
I have it enabled, it finds my apps and contacts fine, but never pulls anything from the web.
My guess is I'm the only one it's not working for. Here is a screen shot so you don't need to watch the video.

YAY! I got it to work on Fresh 2.0b2. Wonder why I was the only one that it was broken for.
So you gonna share with us how you got it to work?
posted fix elsewhere
This user post this on GS2 forum, and wanted to share with everyone here too. But he is claiming to have a "virus" inside the "Market Place" if you update to the latest version.
Share his thread if it is a possible threat, great day all!

Not sure why anyone would donwload those "apps" to begin with. They didn't make any sense. Ever since Market turned into Play, this is the first time I've really heard of threats I'd viruses in the Market. Thanks for the heads up.

There is a reason Lookout Security exists, and it's free unless you want to pay for cloud back-up services.

no one ?
Not 100% sure on this but I think you might have gotten a internal phone. Maybe a demo they used before it was released.
If that phone really is internally a droid maxx. Compare your phone to pictures on the web, it even look different.
indeed is unlocked, you sure it isnt a dev edition?
Yeah looks like a testing device! Maybe this would have been helpful if someone was working on unlocking the bootloaders but sadly NO one is...
Greetings:
I have found an F2 Uwatch Smartwatch while browsing Aliexpress market place.
Does anyone out there have this watch or have good information about it?
Here is a picture of it:

It's ok
I have one. They are not too bad with the basic functions. The app is in a huge need of updating as Android won't sync properly with the phone yet some similar apps will but not give full functionality. IPhones version of the mediatek app works so much better. As for software and apps on the watch very limited, no ability to update the firmware or backgrounds and the downloadable applications from the apks don't work properly. Build quality is great but without software development it's as unless as tits on a bull.
