i have asked this before and noone seems to know. but where does the windows mobile file explorer store cached user names and passwords for windows file sharing. i have run into a problem recently where i changed the password on my shares. one would think that a windows mobile device would say Oops i cant connect so ill ask for new login information. but for some reason my phone refuses to ask for credentials and just gives an access denied error. how can i manually wipe all the cached credentials so that i force the app to ask for the new login

I used the Kindle Fire Utility to install Android Marketplace.
Works like a charm - thanks.
I entered the wrong Google account e-mail when I signed into the Google marketplace for the first time.
There don;t seem to be a way to add a second account or delete the one I logged in. I don;t see a way to log out?
Any way to install multiple accounts? Log out of the account I am in so I can log into another account?
Thanks in advance.
Did you try deleting accounts.db from " /data/system/"?
I cannot even find that.
I browsed the drive - even did a search and no .db files
Thanks
Do you have adb setup?
if so, do
Code:
adb remount
adb shell rm /data/system/accounts.db
If not, you will need something like Root explorer. ES File explorer (free on the market) could likely do it to, but takes a bit more setup to put it in root mode.
Note: Not sure what you mean by searched the drive. The file is not on your SD card.
Kind of a noob still, but I got you now.
I took another route, Restored to default.
RE-rooted - reinstalled marketplace.
Used right email.
Working.
But are we stuck with only one account on Kindle? Do I have to do what I did to use another account or use the account.db Erase method?
If so that quite sucks.
No you can add more accounts. But I am not on a stock based rom, so I can not provide specific details. I know you will need to open "Account & Sync" settings. There is not a shortcut to do it on a stock based rom.
I know you can download a app from the market to help you do this, Quick Sync Settings, I think?
I will check it out then, thanks!
DUDE!!! totally worked. I was able to ad more account then when I go to the account setting in market place it allows me to pick which one I want.
YOU ROCK!!!
Awesome. Glad I could help.

Reflash a stock rom, link https://dl.google.com/dl/android/aosp/occam-jdq39-factory-345dc199.tgz. Here is how you do it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2010312.
As far as I searched, these are the solutions:
- check your phone date ("The SSL certificate contains a expiration date which would be compared against the system date of the Android system. If the system date is too far in the past or in the future, the validation would be failed, thus the connection cannot be established. This is a security measures of the HTTPS connection, so check your system date next time encountering such strange error message." as stated here)
- root and delete the file, as rabbit140 said
- do a factory reset
I've also found:
1. Open Settings.
2. Select Applications.
3. Select Manage Applications.
4. Tap the All tab, then scroll down and select Google Play Store.
5. Select Clear cache.
6. Back out of the screen and select Download Manager (May also be listed as “Downloads”).
7. Select Clear data.
8. Also clear data for Google Services Framework, Google Apps, Google Talk, and Checkin Service. Some users are reporting they had to clear data for the Browser app as well. You may not see all of these apps listed on your particular phone.
-------------------------------------------------------OR----------------------------------------------------
1) Remove sim card.
2) Go to settings->applications and clear everything (not just google apps)one by one.
3) Reboot the device
4) And add your google account.
Dunno if this can help.
Remove Sim card and go to backup and reset and do a factory data reset.
Than put your Sim card back in once you boot back up.

Is it a local machine account or a microsoft account?
If its local machine. No idea.
If its microsoft. Try logging into any microsoft service in browser and click "forgot my password"
There's, like, 6 different ways to do it, depending on what you've done with the system.
Zeroeth question (already been asked): local account or Microsoft account?
First question: is this your personal account, or the system Administrator account?
Second question: do you have any other admin accounts?
Third question: have you put a password on the actual system Adminstrator account (and/or do you remember it)?
One simple way is to use Safe Mode - a little harder to get to than before, but still possible - and reset the password using the built-in Admin account.

Look up the instructions for booting Win8 into Safe Mode, log in using the local Admin account, and use the "Local Users and Groups" management console to reset the password.
Alternatively, use the recovery tools (present either on the Windows install disk or possibly in the recovery partition) to launch a "recovery console" command prompt. It requires that you are able to log into at least one account on the machine, though; the local Admin may or may not work. If it does, you'll get a command prompt; follow the instructions here: http://www.ehow.com/how_8089008_reset-windows-password-cmd.html
Assuming you haven't set up BitLocker, you could also boot off a Linux Live-CD/Flashdrive image, and use that to access and modify the Windows partition.
I'm not going to get too detailed on this but there is a very useful program I've been using for years, so long as its not a domain account it will work, please note, if you use EFS and change the password on that locked account you will screw it all up, the key is made from your password , gaining access to an account without the password will not give you access to EFS so don't piss about with the password or consider it all gone!
Kon-boot
Google it
Pay for it
Learn it
Use it with extreme caution, best way is to make a new admin user then log in to that to make system changes, EFS will still get screwed tho if you change that users password!!

I am running cyanogenmod on my nexus 4 and reset my google password on PC I then went on to my phone to discover I had been signed out of every google app and could not sign in with my old or new password. As I used root app delete I don't have file manager, browser or terminal emulator. When I try signing in to google it says can't get connection to reliable server
Any ideas????
Hi,
Since I've updgraded to Marshmallow, I can't reach my phone storage from my PC via FTP server app. It says insufficient rights when trying to browse emulated/storage.
Any idea/solution? I don't want to root my phone.
I notice this few days ago. But yesterday all running normal. Reboot your router and your device. Renew your dhcp server.
I'll try that tonight, thanks!
Unfortunately did not help. :crying:
Seems for me that Marshmallow denies some permissions needed for this app to work properly.
try reinstall the app. I noticed after an upgrade i wasn't prompted for permissions for apps that were already installed. maybe in mm this app needed a new permission or something and is stuck in a way that it can't ask, in short, trying to reinstall will force all the permissions prompts and hopefully it might work after that
