A healthy batterystats.bin please - Galaxy Tab General

Can anyone please post a batterystats.bin from the data/systems folder? Mine seems to be messed up and even deleting and rebooting with full power doesnt fix it. I get spontaneous power drops from 50% to 2% and then the tab shuts down. Would be awesome if someone could upload a decent batterystats.bin

If you could tell me how to do it, I wouldn't mind.
I know this has nothing to do with you question, but this may be the issue to your drain..
Maybe.. going on a whim here...

XDA2 suddenly shutdown

My XDA2 suddenly shutdown when its battery level reach between 15-17% and its cannot be turn on again, and i have to wait for 10 min ,then its restart itself again. Does anyone have the same problem?. At first i thought it was program bugs that cause it, but after i done a hardreset, the same problem still occur. Thanks.
Haven't experience that yet. I think 15%-17% of battery level is in critical level that's why it suddenly shutdown. I think you just have to recharge your battery and don't let it reach 15% of battery level. It might erase your data files.
I've let mine go down to 5% and charged it and nothing happened, no hard resets or anything.

Battery inaccurate after boot

Hi all
since a week or so i have a strange problem with my sgs and i hope you can help me to fix it
Everything works just fine (battery is accurate) until i switch off / reboot the phone
but at next boot the battery reports a very low value
(e.g. the phone has 55% battery left and after the reboot it reports only 8%)
with Froyo 2.2.1 (Speedmod Kernel) it would stay at that level until the battery has really drained to that point
With GB (JVQ - Galaxian Kernel) the battery percentage increases slowly
What i tried so far:
first of all, i deleted the battery stats for a few times and because that didn't work i upgraded to JVQ (with repartitioning and all), but that didn't solve the problem either
i don't really know what to do anymore and i hope someone can help me
thanks
Just do a few drain/ charge cycles and that should sort it
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA Premium App
First off, wiping batterystats.bin alone won't help.
Try this:
1. Charge to 100% until it says unplug charger.
2. Wipe batterystats.bin from recovery, unplug and then reboot
3. Drain your phone's battery until it shuts itself down
4. Charge to 100% without interrupting the charge
5. Enjoy :3
thanks for the quick replay!
unfortunately thats basically what i have already done
since the problem happened the first time, i have charged the phone at least 5 times and wiped the battery stats for 2 or 3 times right after charging the phone to 100%
its true that normally i don't drain the battery completely, but yesterday i have done just that and than let the phone charge overnight - but that didn't solve the problem
i will try to fully discharge the phone a few more times and load the battery while the phone is switched off
still i hope someone has an other suggestion how to solve this annoying problem
thanks
lol - stop deleting the batterystats.bin for starters.
The batterystats needs to indentify the top and bottom markers such as 0% - 100%, delete it ONCE.
Firstly, turn the phone off, charge the phone to 100%, bump charge it, till 100% truely.
This means, unplug...then plug it in again until you keep getting 100% show up.
Boot up into recovery then delete the batterystats.bin.
Use it heavy, activate everything and drain it. Make sure it is compeltely drained, try turning the phone back on, take the battery out for about 2 mins, try turning it on again, if it doesnt turn on, you've drained it.
Plug your charger in, do not turn the phone on, let it charge to 100%, again, bump charge it until 100% truely full, turn the phone on and let it run its natural course this time.
Do not delete the batterystats.bin again, you will have to repeat the process, it will take a good 2/3 times of charge/discharge for the stats to settle.
Hopefully helps dude! Good luck
thanks pidz!
just to clarify: i have had my sgs for a half year now and i never wiped the battery stats until last week
But i haven't tried bump charging jet - i really don't like that process as it is bad for the battery but might be worth a try, thanks
it usually happens with non original batteries. did you changed a battery? or maybe you got a fake one with you phone?

Recurring battery issues

I've been having a problem with my battery for a while now where the mV's stay where they should and the percentage drops really fast leaving me with horrible battery life. I've tried calibrating my battery plenty of times and tried various guides and fixes but nothing seems to fix my battery. Can anyone help me or should I invest in a new battery? Thanks
For example, I took a screenshot while my battery was at 3593mV (4200mV is full) and it said it was at 15%. This happens on every rom I flash but I'm currently on Miui Alpha 3 if that makes any difference.
i am sure you have looked at this thread... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1407569, it seems there are a few of us that have some battery issues.
I have seen that thread, but I'm not sure if I have the same problem or not. For me, the percentage of my battery just goes down way faster than the actually charge on my phone.
for some reason, i think that its the way the phones are reading the data. the math is wrong. the only reason why i am thinking this is cause my dads phone is doing the same thing, not showing 100% charge when it should be.
what happens when your phone reaches 0%? does it shut off? whats the battery voltage when this happens?
My phone shut off at 0%. After rereading that thread I managed to fix my battery by doing this:
1. Charge to %100
2. Use a wall charger and take the battery out so it shows a question mark, then put the battery back in till you think its at 4200mV
3. Keep phone plugged in and delete the battery stats in /data/system, and cc_data, cc_data_old, and powerup from /data/battd
Hope those directions are good enough, hope you get your batteries fixed!

Extreme battery drain

Hey guys, recently I've been having a TON of battery drain. A while ago someone replaced my screen since the I dropped the phone and the glass broke(stupid me). My friend and I thought that maybe that guy also replaced my battery, without telling me. But what mostly happens: When my phone is on like 50% (sometimes less, sometimes more), it shuts off. When I restart it its at 1%. I added some screenshots off today where it happened again. What could be causing this? And is there anyway I can check if the battery is replaced? Also, the new glass has a few stripes under and above the screen. I don't mind in that much but does anyone know about that aswell?
Thanks in advance.
Well you could first try to reset your battery... There are several methods out there. Just google for it, one popular one involves deleting the batterystats.bin file.
There are also apps that show you the battery health. If it is poor, it is likely that the battery is just damaged or drained.
I used to buy second hand devices, to check the battery I usually read out the charge cycles (how often the battery charged from 0 to 100). However, I don't know how it works for Android these days. But searching for that key word might help you.

Pixel 4xl stuck on 50% . Switches off randomly and has a battery symbol with a (?).

Battery stuck on 50% won't change even when charge or discharge. Today it randomly shutdown in my pocket. and then had a battery symbol with a ?. The phone eventually turned on, I've tried turning off location, rebooting still having issues. Sometimes the battery saving mode stops working, i.e. it cannot be turned on. As I can see the problem concerns a large group of users and nobody knows what this problem is related to. Google is silent as usual. Is this a problem with the software or components ?! I am in a bad situation because I have no warranty for the device and I do not know where to send the phone in Poland because no one knows what is the cause of the problem. Help me please.

I wanted to chime in and say I am also having this issue. It has to be related to latest update? Anyways, I tried the squeeze trick and HOLY **** it worked! Thanks for that! Went from showing 50% to 93%. I would like to see Google's response. This issue the last few days has had me frustrated...enough to pre-order for an S20 Ultra and getting $600 for this POS. I was also experiencing random shutdowns, etc. I am going to continue to monitor this and will update if anything changes.
also you can try to factory reset.
Cheers, Hope this helps
That "fix" doesn't actually work unfortunately

do you just charge it up again when it shuts off at 50%? keep trying to drain the battery till it hits 0% just keep turning the phone on Everytime it shuts off. if you ever get to the point where it wont turn on anymore. charge the phone to 100% without turning the phone on. once it reaches to 100%, unplug the phone and turn it on. discharge the phone all the way to 0% and repeat the process at least 2 or 3 times. this will hopefully reset the battery stats. also clear the storage on the "device health services" app. battery stats are also kept in here

Actually I'm just setting up the warranty replacement handset that Google sent me. This is a hardware issue, not fixable with reboots or software. The new phone works great. Old one is still stuck saying 50%
I had the same issue and the repair was covered by Google, even though my phone is about 15 months old.
