I have the same problem! What happened? Since 3 days ago everything was working fine.
Same problem here. Last Tweet I received was on 3/29. I was able to post a Tweet even though I received an error mesage doing it.

I have the same problem and have installed the Hotfix, but now Peep is totally unresponsive. I can't get past the login screen, it just boots me back to the previous screen with no message or anything. I've tried a Twitter password reset, but no change. Any ideas anyone?
i hate stupid baggy sense.i installed the fix but nothing changed. it keeps saying that mu username or password are wrong.....
Its a global issue with HTC Peep since Twitter did some upgrade by end of March, the update released in Feb wont help, just cross ur finger and wait for HTC guys to release another fix
go to market apps using ur mini then dl the motwitter; free and superb...

I recently started over fresh with my rooted evo.
After installing my roms/apps,etc I noticed my contacts were not synced with facebook.
I tried maunally hitting the sync button still nothing.
I tried to delete my facebook profile, clear the cache and log back in. Still wont sync my contacts from facebook.
Anyone having these same issues?
I cant figure out how to fox this.
Apparently it's a server issue and has nothing to do with your rom. I flashed a few roms and back to stock and it still doesn't work. Someone at ppcgeeks called htc to find out the issue and that's what he was told
Diddo! The whole reason I'm searching this forum 2nite is for an answer to this.... please someone provide help... I used simple root to root then did the clockworkmod install....Idk I found a thread that said do simple root then this other 2nd step... as u can tell I'm a noob...I've tried flashing a few roms damage control and some other one nothing gets it sync'd doesn't even show contacts in the live Facebook folder..... tia

Nothing you can do for now. Wait for facebook or htc to fix it.
I don't see how this is an issue with fb or HTC since it was working prior to root. And my contact card is populated with my pic.... guess I will wait n see...

It's an issue because I have an unrooted evo and it was fine yesterday and I was playing around today and unsynced my facebook and now I haven't been able to get it to sync back all day.
So it's not just the roots
Well, I hope its an issue that can be resolved rather quickly on HTC's end.
Dont know how 1 day everything can be working, then the next we get nothing.
Its not like there was a recent update.

man ive been looking for answer to this also.
I would think It's Facebook then not HTC, I use some of their widgets and live feeds for some of my sites for work and there have been days where none update Facebook is great in many ways but has a lot of faults... glad to know its not cuz I rooted thanx for the update.....

Not to bring back an old thread, but I don't want to start a new thread if the issue is already posted.
I have the same issue (however on the HTC Aria), my Aria is brand new and from the start it didn't work. I flashed the update from HTC's website, the one released September 14th, 2010. (version 1.25.502.12) And it still doesn't work. I recently rooted my phone and it still won't work. My contacts card is partially filled from facebook, just my birthday synced and the picture can be synced, the rest won't sync. I have a friend with a Aria as well and their's works fine however, except with a couple day delay on new friends appearing.
Has it been determined that the cause is either HTC or Facebook?

I have problems with facebook updates.
In tha Manila tab: "no updates or events"
In the facebook app: The first time I login all work ok, but if I close the app and then open it again, there isn't new updates.
I try to sing out my account and delete the files facebook.vol and facebookinfo.vol and don't work.
Any help?

Check the facebook threads elsewhere-the facebook app isn't working anymore. The manila tab probably has the same issue. FB must've changed something. This isn't a cooking issue.
There was a facebook "crash" I think it was either the 23rd or the 24th of last month that has caused the issue. It is really annoying but we are just going to have to bare with it untill they get it sorted
It is sorted out and working well for me on my HD2.

so my mum gave me her Htc hero yesterday
I wiped it and then I got informed of a software update so I did it now when I try and download an app its stuck on Starting Download
This never happened when my mum had it.
I have look on the internet and tried all the options.
What else could I do?

Would maybe using one of the versions of android on the forum would sort it out
I've had the same issue before, just check if you are able to connect to the GTalk server, ie fire up the Google Talk IM app. If you can't connect, your Market hasn't got a chance.
My advice here would be to reset the phone & log into your Google account.
I had this issue when I changed my googlemail.co.uk address to GMail.com, & another time when I added more then 1 Googlemail account to the phone.
Anyone else having problems again with HTC peep and twitter today? After getting no updates from 7am this morning I tried logging out and in and now it wont recognise my password/account combination. I know its valid as Ive tried on my pc. Also tried HTC peep over wifi with no luck. And soft reset twice
It doesnt appear to be the authentication problem that surfaced a month or so again (i fixed this at the time with the HTC hotifix) - this is a simple "you entered an incorrect username or password".

I am getting the same problem too, since I did a hard reset cant get back into twitter, despite addding the latest ROM and the HTC fix from their site.

Looks like peep will break if a user logs out of Twitter, does a hard reset, or a ROM upgrade.

Today I have discovered that I cannot upload videos to youtube anymore because there is a login problem with it. From what I have seen this comes from the HTC Sense Account Manager Login that fails to login this.
Anyone having any ideas of why this is happening? Everyone having the same problem or is it working for someone?

This is not working since November last year for me
One of the many reasons why i use Android now.
it used to work for me....

Any solutions for this? I'm having the same problem. Worked fine until about a week ago but now when I try to upload, it goes thru the motion but hangs at 0% uploaded in the uploader screen. I also don't get the notification at the top of the screen that something is uploaded. When I try to login thru Data Services, nothing happens and the icon stays grayed out. I don't even get a login error message.
