Fastboot/Clockwork - stuck on old ROM - Green user - - Streak 5 General

Hi.
I swapped my old Toshiba TG01 to Dell Streak - unlocked, with the ROM DJsteve - I think because I do not know how to check what ROM I have
But it seems to me that something is wrong with the system on the phone. As if part of the function does not work.
So I decided to upload the new ROM - exactly StreakDroid 1.9.0 (aka The Final Frontier)
And the problems started.
Acted according to the attached instructions:
1.Download update-1.9.0.zip from the links below
2.Place Zip file into root of SD Card
3.Make a text file and type in the options you would like to chose as shown above.
4.Save file under sdcard> install.txt
5.Boot into StreakMod or Clockwork Recovery
6.Select Update from Zip File> Select Zip File From SD Card> update-1.8.0.Zip
7.Wait for installation.
Boot 8.First May Take Longer Than a normal boot. Things are being installed, the stuff is being generated. Patience.
9.Enjoy.
I stopped at the point 5
The phone is angry at me - I asked, begged, cursed, and plucked off the hair of my head ... nothing is helping.
I install Clockwork on my phone - I tried to boot from it - yes the phone will restart ... and only this - just simply restart.
I tried the method - Volume down / up, and Power ON - show me the menu:
1. Factory Reset
2. Software 2.Software Update.pkg upgrade via a SD Card
3. Screen calibration
4. Power off
Point 2 - does not work, does not recognize the file pkg - simply nothing happens - screen is black with light back light (probably the fault of the ROM DJSteve)
I tried the Fastboot from the console. (After few hours searching of method how to start this app - its not easy to find a drivers, programs and clear instruction)
Fastboot devices - can not detect anything - just showing another line in DOS
Fastboot-and flash recovery 0x413c c: \ recovery.stock.img (or any other recovery) hangs on - waiting for the device.
I thought I'd upload the ROM TG01 was difficult (wires, rubber bands and a lot of luck - yes - adventure with Nokser - priceless), but Dell streak and fight with him for several days overwhelmed me.
I tried fastboot on Windows 7 64bit, 32bit, Windows XP Pro - and nothing works.
I'm stuck in the ROM which I do not like. I can not upload an attempt StreakDroid 1.9.0 or ROM O2 2.1. Clockwork only restart phone. Runing with Volume UP(or Volume DOWN or Home) and Power ON - hang phone until I dont remove battery. I read XDA Forum, Modaco, plenty of website about fastboot and roms in Android - now I just want to back to o2 or Dell ROM
Pls help me ... or kill me

You have to flash the recovery and then use the fastboot command to reboot the phone (fastboot -i 0x413c reboot) and then as the phone restarts hold both camera buttons down. If you let the phone boot up normally the stock recovery will overwrite the custom recovery.
If your phone is rooted you can prevent this by renaming the file install-recovery.sh to something else.
To make the fastboot commands easier try this tool.
Here is a gallery that shows what streakmod recovery should look like.

Thank You for help... but
I download MultiRecoveryFlasher - nice matrix-like fonts... and its works
Adlast my phone show something on screen not only Fastboot Mode
recovery done... and restart.. and phone back to old ROM - normal restart.
"and then as the phone restarts hold both camera buttons down" - volume? or I have somewhere second camera button (its not silly question - TG01 have reset button under battery cover, HTC Diamond - reset button under stylus )
I try both volume... and we see....
YES! both volume - my hearth stops on blinking touch buttons - and NICE blue fonts on my phone -
Finding update - ok
Installing update .... - Dell 2.2.2 - 345 - underway
Thank you Marvin
PS. if I want to install ROM Final Frontier after DELL 2.2.2 I can also use this - MultiRecoveryFlasher ?

It doesn't matter how you get Streakmod recovery on your phone, but that's what you need to flash Streakdroid 1.9
You flash a .pkg file with a stock recovery and flash a ROM that is in a zip form with a custom recovery like streakmod recovery.
You can use the MultiRecoveryFlasher to change the recovery when you need to.

Thank You for help.
If I find a manual to change ROM write so clear like this 2 posts

Magic "broken" after Flashing a new ROM - Help needed

I have tried to root my HTC Magic, using the Hero 1.4 ROM found on this homepage.
But something has gone wrong. i have followed the instuctions and done the same as all the other times i have root'et my phone. But now the phone won't start, it's "frozen" and only show the HTC MAGIC startup picture, and stays that way until i take out the battery.
Im getting more and more affraid that the phone is broken.
So i was wondering if anyone here could help me with this problem.
I can enter the recovery menu, and its possible for me to push a new update.zip file, and flash that and i have tried it but that dosn't help so all suggestions are welcome
Per
Home + Back when power up so you could get into fastboot menu. You then can flash your nandroid backup back into your phone.
Or get a ROM that worked for you in the past and flash it in recovery menu (update.zip).
I think you flashed the ROM that is designed for 32B board (HTC Magics with Google experience) in your Magic, which has the 32A board.
I did exactly the same thing! i first tried the HTC hero firmware from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=531617
But after reading bachviet's response i got the other version from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=534464
So thanks Bachviet
Hey, thx for the answers, but i found another way of getting my phone to work again, kind off.
I used the recovery .img file found here on this forum (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=530492) and then i just Nandroid restore, and it restored my phone back to when i bought it.
Now i only have a problem with the camera. it restarts my phone when i press the camera button in the menu. So think ill need to drop it off for repair, damn.
hi, here is an other method to resolve this problem.
I dont have sd card adapter, that is way I use adb to push a right update.zip and I use fastboot to wipe and apply the update.
(Sorry for my english)
1. put the right update.zip on "...\android-sdk-windows-1.5_r2\tools"
2. connect your phone using usb and start it (if is not)
3. open terminal in "...\android-sdk-windows-1.5_r2\tools" and type:
adb rmount (if is not success wait 10s and repeat it )
adb push update.zip /sdcard/update.zip
adb shell reboot (at the same time hold volume down button)
4.type:
fastboot boot recovery-magic.img

Did I brick it? Nexus

Ok I'm kinda a newbie...I've searched the forums and can't find my solution.
So I installed CM 7 on my nexus one from Rom manager. Everything is ok...so I decide to put google add ons ( froyo). This is what happens now... I get the Cyan logo animation , then the green google sign up logo then the phone reloops to the cyan logo and then the google sign in logo...I cant access nothing on my phone.
I boot into recovery ( power +trackball) , go to recovery option click on power and then I see the X (phone vibrates ) then I get a black screen...and nothing happens.
I did do 2 working rom recoveries from clockwork...I just cannot access them to recover my old working images....Can someone help or did I brick a new phone...
Thanks
just like basketball.......... brick
Maybe try to push a new recovery through ADB?
ok how to do that ADB?
What is ADB ...can someone please help
Thanks
You shouldn't be flashing pre-beta firmwares if you don't know how to use adb.
Use Google or the forum search to find out all about adb.
Also, if the phone is booting as far as the Cyanogen logo, then it's not even remotely "bricked", it does sound like you've managed to stuff up the recovery though, probably ROM Manager's fault, it has a habit of breaking things horribly.
Boot into fastboot and flash the latest Amon Ra recovery, then boot into recovery, do a full data wipe and flash a standard firmware back on.
Yep it's dead, send it to me because I'm building a house.
OK so I fastboot with sdk ...
Because the recovery option just send me to the dreaded X and then nothing
Not bricked. The best people to help you through it the fastest are on the Cyanogen Mod IRC Chat. Make a screenname and one of our amazing Devs will help you though the crisis. Been there, and you'll love them for it.
When I was a newbie in xda, I made sure to research thoroughly before blindly doing weird kinky stuff to my phone.
The xda wiki was one place that helped me in my dark noobish times.
Do yourself a favor and read up the wiki, you might find your answer there.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=File:Nexus_One.png
get yourself the android SDK, run a cmd window, while your phone is bootlooping;
type adb remount
you should get a message "remount successful"
now type; adb shell rm /system/app/NetworkLocation.apk
and also; adb shell rm /system/app/OneTimeInitializer.apk
your phone should now boot normally
thanks
I.ll try it when i come back from work
But it isn't bootlooping persay...I get the cyan guy and the cm7 logo screen (the arrow turns for awhile...then I get the Green Android guy and it says click to start...I can't even click ...the blue cyan screen starts ...then the green guy ...this loops for ever.
In bootloader mode ( power+trackball) when I try to recover...the the google X logo appears the phone shakes then black screen....nothing happens.
I think that either clockwork recovery is broken (because I saved 3 back-ups from rom manager)...or it works but I cant see screen (SLCD)...Anyway, is there a way to just flash en existing image on my sd card.....
Also my phone was soft rooted (androot) I don't have the big unlocked under the x...will this prevent me from using fast boot to flash???
Thanks guys I know I'm a newbie...Ive read alot...I'm sorry if I offend some of you guys...Thanks for the help....
Sounds like your bootloader is still locked... in that case, fastboot will not work for your phone.
Still read the section on flashing recovery in the xda wiki. There's a section on how to flash a recovery without fastboot but adb.
adB
Ok isn't ADB a driver for usb ...
Anyone know a step by step for morons ( like me)
That have a locked phone, a corrupted bootloader ( or recovery not working) and modified roms on the sd card...
Can i just erase the sd ( put stock image on it)
I will try this at 2pm I must go to work....thanks for the help
Yes.
Download: http://shipped-roms.com/shipped/Pas...le_WWE_2.16.1700.1_FRG33_MFG_Shipment_ROM.zip
Unzip it, and rename the extracted file passimg.zip
Place it on the root of your SD card and power the phone on holding Vol-
It will find the file and ask if you want to install, pick yes.
Ok
Ok heres what I did so far:
I used an empty sd card ( formated it and put followed what you said: put renamed image oanto sd card)
I power with the volume, here is what happens:
I click on bootloader
I get : recovery option , click the X comes back on shaked and then I get a black screen
Ive waited for 10 minutes nothing
Also: when I click on boot loader, I see ( in green) it saying wrong image, wrong something else.....
Can someone telle what I did wrong
Thanks
Did you extract the zip from within the zip, as instructed?
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
ok heres something else I tried:
Went to the original sd card with everything on it) went to the clockwork folder) went to an old back up folder ( copy pasted everything onto the empty sd card) put the sd card into the phone , press power + volume - , get the green guys with skateboards , click onto boot loader ( see the same errors that roll down quickly, funny why they fly down so fast...but I think it says bad image or wrong image or time ) . Anyway, still same thing when I press recover ( with power button) the X shows up , the phones vibrates and then the black screen.
I i do a normal power on ....still get the CM7 boot guy , the arrow that turns around him a few times , then the green guy that ask you to click on him, then you can't even click on him...the CM7 boot guy starts all over (this loops til infinity)
Just so you guys know, the phone was rooted with androot...so I don't know it its still rooted since the software dowsn't work....
Any ideas guys...thanks...
I will try the adb method late tonight...but Im not sure its works if the phone is soft rooted...
Thanks
Did you really rename the passimg.zip correctly? The bootloader should automatically detect the file and prompt you if u want to update. If it did not detect it, it could be the wrong file u renamed.
Remember that once you boot into bootloader using the vol down button, you have to wait for it to detect the passimg.zip before doing anything else.
And fastboot will not work on your phone. You need the roundabout method to flash recovery using cmd.
Ok heres what I did:
1-I download the link Rusty! supplied
2-I extract using winrar to the empty sd card ( a 2 gig card that has been formated using windows format tool to fat 32)..not the one that came with the phone)
3-Once the file in on the sd card, I rename is ( copy paste) exactly passimg.zip
4-I ask windows to eject
5-I insert the card
6-I press the power and volume down
7-I wait , so that fastboot is read.
8-I select fastboot wait a few seconds , select Fastboot ( is green letters) with the power button, it changes to bootloader( green letters), I see green text roll down( says ' i try to see, wrong....something)
9- nothing happens
10-I click recovery, the phone vibrates, get the X, phone goes black
****I tried reading that roll down message : wrong image is there with some other stuff
These are the steps...nothing
Thanks for the help

HTC Tattoo bricked? Doesn't boot, goes to fastboot...

Hey!
This is the issue: when I try to turn the phone on by just pressing the red button it goes directly to the fastboor menu. If I try to go to the recovery from there shows "TATTOO" for hours. If i try to go to the recovery dirctly by pressing HOME+ red button, it firsto shows the fastmenu for a second and tries to boot unsuccessfully. During this boot tries, I try to get some info with adb logcat, but the device is not casting anything. And well, if a picture is worth a thousand words, I guess a video is way better:
youtube.com/watch?v=zAejyMIVNGk (newbie, no urls!)
sorry for my english
And well, I have no idea how I got to this, this used to be my phone, but I bought a Nexus One and gave this to my sister, who has no idea what happened (as usual). Oh, this morning somehow I managed to get to the recovery menu, and booted until the android bootscreen, then vibrated and died again. I got to the recovery again, made a nandroid backup and wiped all data, it booted successfully, but the rom had no home application and ran really bad.
I was about to try to make a goldcard and install the stock RUU rom, but if I have no adb I cannot make one...
Any idea?
PS: the rom was nFinity 1.18 (2.2 Froyo) and the recovery was the lastest Clockwork.
PS2: I just realized that in every place I say fastboot I mean HBOOT, sorry again
sounds like recovery is still there, if you hold home + menu when phone if off , and then click red power button you should get recovery menu.
Then hopefully you can try full wipe and install a rom , rember the first time u boot a rom might take a few minutes
let me know how it goes
Yup, not using that method but I can manage to get to recovery sometimes. I'm trying to flash another ROM, but for some reason it doesn't let me. I've tried KalimochoAz (gingerbread) and HDCR (donut) and says something about assertion failed when checking if the device was click on the first case and in the second, complains about unsupported stuff...
I was about to try another roms by random but the SD does not refresh or even mounts, there must be something really messed up with this phone...
You can try to flash your stock rom from fastboot.
You don't need a goldcard, just run the update utility on pc, go to your temp directory and take the rom.zip file, rename it to CLICIMG.zip, copy it to sd card, put card on device and on fastboot menu pres vol down to start flashing the rom. I is the same version with the rom that device has before rooting, you will not get any errors.
I think there's a little misunderstanding here, mainly because of my confusion, it's not the fastboot menu qhat I get, but the HBOOT menu, and pressing the back button in order to access fastboot doesn't work...
oh I managed to boot something, I renamed the RUU exe to CLICDIAG.zip, because I could not find anything in C:\temp (is there where I have to look for the file?)
anyway, the zip appears to load on the phone, but once the progress bar completes, nothing happens... In my computer, the zip contains a .txt file and boot.img, but appears to be corrupt, and cannot extract any file (obviously, it's an exe)
so what do I do?

Of course will not work like this.
You must first run the RUU utility on pc and while is open to search your temp directory(maybe is inside another folder) for rom.zip file. This is the rom, the executable is an installation program which contain the rom and the app to flash the rom from pc packaged. You need only the rom.zip for flashing from sd card.
I've looked in the whole hard disk for that rom.zip after executing the RUU (I cannot get further than the step that tries to detect the tattoo, failing, so maybe it's not even created).
Apart from that, I managed to boot twice to what seems to be gingerbread, nFinity 1.18, but says in the lower left corner "Safe Mode" and I have no home application, no action on any button, just the notification bar and the lock screen. ADB doesn't work either.

You don't need to go so far. Just run the ruu utility and when the first screen appears go to temp dir(c:\users\you user's name\local\appdata\temp on windows 7). The executable is an encrypted package and when you run it extracts all included files and then starts the installation program. These files will deleted after this program exits(when the installation complete or an error occurs)
Cool! I just renamed it to CLICLIMG.zip and I finally loaded. The problem now is that when it finishes, instead of asking me to flash it, says
"CID Incorrect!
Update Fail!
Do you want to reboot device?
<ACTION> Yes
<POWER> No"
While running the RUU I made sure that it was for HTC Tattoo since it showed me the device during the steps. And I got it from a post describing the steps to flash it using the goldcard.
Furthermore, this error is something similar to what happened when I tried to flash from the recovery. This is REALLY weird...
Probably this isn't the sama as your device's stock rom. I think goldcard needed for flashing any htc original rom, but without goldcard only the device's version will be flashed successfully. Try to download other original roms if you don't know which you had before.
Here is a site with shipped roms for tattoo:
http://www.shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=android&model=Click
The RUU wasn't a problem, I tried now with a goldcard and flashed successfully! I could not get ADB connection to make it, but I once made one and still had the .img in my mail inbox.
But still nothing has changed...
pressing on drives me to the HBOOT screen, whose only options that work are "simlock" to flash CLICIMG.zip, and recovery (freezes on "TATTOO")
EDIT: does not freeze, but goes back to HBOOT after a while... ¬¬
You say that now you have the stock HTC rom and again you cannot boot it and instead the device reboots again to HBOOT?
Then maybe you have a hardware problem which leads to this behaviour.
OK, now I guess it still has warranty, but the problem is that I rooted it.
But now that I flashed somehow the original rom, should be no problem right?
Yes, if you successfully flash the stock rom, you're not root any more.
had that problem to, but theres easy fix for it without doing all whats being sayd here
Even tho phone dont boot annymore and stays on logo plug in the usb cable
and work with adb shell and reflash recovery (to be good tattoo-hack.ko etc tricks need to be done before doing it or you get errors)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=716282 step 1.5 and tools from step 1.3
and ether get Amon RA recovery or clockworkmod and use
Code:
./flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img
then reboot into recovery
HTML:
adb shell "reboot recovery"
mount usb put in a custom rom and flash it
if all done well should work (had same problem)
bascly adb still work even if you think you bricked phone just have to let it "startup"
Greetings
I'm afraid that won't work. I've been trying all the time with adb logcat and adb devices unsuccesfully. I thought that the TATTOO bootscreeb would give me some feedback in all cases, but now doesn't seem to work...
I've had similar problems when trying to flash nfinityGB.
My problem was that I missed something on the way from
- creating a gold card
- rooting device
- installing recovery
- flashing rom
All I did was to download and execute "RUU_Click_HTC_WWE_1.67.405.6_WWE_release_signed_NoDriver.exe" (or any other ruu).
Be shure to have SDK with all drivers installed properly.
After this your device is in unrooted (original) state as dancer_69 already told you.
Now you can decide whether to claim warranty or properly follow the guides on xda to get root and flash custom roms.
I think I know from long ago what is happening here, just couldn't believe it. Maybe the keys are sticked or something, that would explain the always going into fastboot mode without pressing the VOL DOWN key. Now it boots 1 out of each 5 tries, and when it gets to the home app, it's on "safe mode" (achieved by pressing MENU key while booting).
I think they will take care for it back in the HTC support (well, I hope)

Something like this thought when I said that maybe is a hardware problem.

Streak Boot Issues Cant Restore Stock Recovery or Boot ROM (Bootloop)

Hiya all, I am quite desperate for help, I consider myself intermediate when it comes to dealing with android devices but I am well and truly stumped on this one.
I received a second hand streak from eBay yesterday, turned on first time and booted fine, running Steakdroid 1.9.0 by DJ Steve. I had a few issues with it reboot randomly or crashing, as it had Streakmod Recovery installed I did a full wipe all areas, reinstalled the Rom 1.9.0 and bit a factory reset on reboot from the Dell recovery menu.
All the device does now is reboot in bootloop on the dell logo it stall when it goes as far as booting or trying to load the Rom.
I ran the test in fastboot to test the internal drive as this is known to fail and both that and my SD memory passed the test.
I used fastboot and CMD to flash 4399 recovery image the OEM recovery image for the Rom Streak_104_4399_21.pkg I renamed this to update.pkg and rebooted the device into recovery where I then went to restore the original firmware (1.6) but as soon as I pressed the camera button to proceed I was greeted with a lovely black screen.
I left the device for about 2 minutes where it reset itself and just keep rebooting on the dell logo the restore did not seem to work, just to check fastboot and CMD was working as it should I went to reinstall the Streakmod Recovery image and sure enough it worked I managed to boot the device back into streakmod.
Unfortunately every time I try to install a custom rom they just do not seem to load the device simply stalls on the Dell logo because I cant seem to restore the original recovery image for the stock rom I cannot factory restore and nor will any custom rom boot.
All I have is access to fastboot and Streakmod recovery aaaah!!
If anyone can help me in the slightest I would well very, very, very much appreciate it!
As you have fastboot working, go to the wiki and download the recovery.img for the latest 360 rom, put the corresponding rom on your sd card named update.pkg and try to do a recovery by powering on device holding down volume up and down.
Flash then do a factory reset and you should be fine.
Streakmod is a great tool for flashing custom roms, not too many problems using custom roms, but you must use Streakmod with care, never use the factory reset option from within streakmod itself, this can render your phone a brick.

Thanks for the reply here's my progress so far:
Flashed recovery image and loaded rom to SD card..... Booted into dell recovery and this is what happened
Finding update package
Opening update package
Verifying update package
Yellow bar 25%ish at this point
flashing lights
Installing Update
33%ish lights flash again
Yellow bar jumps 3/4 then fills screen, streaks screen goes blank/ off
Doesn't reboot/ cant turn on so I remove battery and switch back on and I am back to Dell logo then I get a picture of an android and another small progress bar that slowly fills and the device and it again reboots
Streak reboots again about 3 times like it is stuck in bootloop, I leave it and keep my fingers crossed I then get an animation of the Dell logo and glowing lights behind it.
Keep fingers crossed and sure enough it boots into the lock screen, I go to unlock it but it freezes and I get the flashing lights syndrome and the screen goes blank
Remove battery and switch on again, dell logo bootloop after about 8 or 9 bootloops it boots back up into the ROM above but then crashes once again...
Is it fair to say this streak has given up the ghost?
Flashing lights could mean baseband mismatch.
Try again, but be certain to use the correct recovery.img for the rom you are flashing, get the 351, 354 or 360 recovery.img that matches your choice of rom.
Make sure there is only 1 update.pkg on your microsd card, the one you want to flash, move all others, rename them or delete them. The Dell recovery always looks for update.pkg, nothing else.
Flashing lights could be something more major, but i still think its a baseband mismatch.

Honestly thats what I wanted to hear but what worries me is I downloaded the recovery and image from Wiki both relating to 360 will try flashing again I really do hope it can be fixed! Seems today is not a good day for me today many things going up the creek!
I am 75% certain if you flash it with the right update.pkg, that is a renamed 360 pkg you downloaded, you will have success.
When you flashed Streak_104_4399_21.pkg you were trying to revert to Android 1.6.
You may have to use the QDLTool to fix the Streak. I am not sure what problems trying an 1.6 build over an Android 2.2 build can cause. You may want to wait for some more feedback.
Start here for more info and try the links in my signature.
I dont believe you can downgrade directly from 2.2.x -> 1.6.
2.2.x -> 2.1 -> 1.6 might work but why are you doing this in the first place?
Just directly install 360 or the like
teaganravetta,
Does this sum up your situation?
1) you bought a used phone and it had StreakDroid 1.9.0 on it
2) because of issues with SD 1.9.0, you tried to flash Streak_104_4399_21.pkg, not realizing that SD is based on a newer stock rom
3) you then tried flashing bb 360
3) Now you are having issues with boot loops and phone won't boot?

I'm not going to tell you anything different than anyone else, however I am going to give you links to the exact files you need so there is no confusion.
Download this:
http://mirror2.streakdroid.com/manii/360/recovery.img
This is the recovery image for 360. Save it in the folder on your computer that has fastboot.
Now download this:
http://mirror2.streakdroid.com/manii/Streak_360_17397_00.pkg
Rename this to Update.pkg and place in the root of your SD Card. (ensure there is no other Update.pkg on your card)
Power off the phone, if not done already.
Hold the power and camera button down until you get a white screen. Click on fastboot on your phone. Wait 10 seconds.
Plug it into your computer with the usb cable.
Wait for it to say fastboot ready (or something similar).
Now flash the recovery.img using the following command (This command assumes a Windows PC):
fastboot.exe -i 0x413 flash recovery recovery.img
When both your computer and the phone says it was successful, complete, or whatever, pull the battery.
Replace the battery, hold both volume buttons along with the power button.
In the menu that opens, choose the second option. Let us know your results.
I only added this post in case their was confusion over which files were actually needed. No need for a separate baseband, dsp1, or anything else. These are all included in the pkg file.
many thanks for all the help, so far I have downloaded "QDLTool3rd_20101022_GAUSB1A130500" turned off driver signing as I am x64 all ADB drivers fine and COM ports okay have restored via this tool according to the log successfully.
Phone rebooted a few times it has paused on the Dell logo for a moment but the guide did say anything up to 10minutes for first boot so I am holding for the moment to see if this has cured it otherwise I will report back and re download the above files and try that!
It takes me a while because I am out in the sticks I only have a 60kbps download speed (yikes) I know!!
Because your first attempt at flashing a stock ROM was the Android 1.6 version I am not sure you can just flash 360 at this point. I think you have to use the QDLTool (repairtool), but I am not sure. Try searching for the procedures that were used to upgrade from 1.6.
Edit to use the QDLTool:
In this post DL under commonly downloaded tools get Fastboot/ADB utils + drivers for Streak 5/7 and Venue and QDL Tool.
Then download qdltool-tutorial.zip from this page. unzip the tutorial and open it with a browser that supports flash or other flash viewer.
After using the QDLTool let the Streak boot and then flash the 360 recovery file and the 360 ROM. You must not let the phone boot completely after flashing a different recovery or the phone will restore the one that came with the ROM currently on the phone. Read this.
You can find more info about QDLTool by searching. As I said I think that is what you need to do.

Format System on CWM

Hi all!
I'm an andoird newbie and I've a big problem with my tab!
I was using the NX Manager by my PC to unlockink my android table and installing CWM.
All was going all right but, while I'm using CWM I was entring in the Format/Mount section to mount "system" but I've click the wrong botton in the wrong line and I've format my system dir.
Now I've my nexus block on the main page, where ther is the "Google" string on black screen.
I thinks there's no problem because I'll can install an new Rom (like cm 10) but, when I connect my device to my PC, the PC don't recognise my tablet! And I can't reboot the tablet or entre in recovery mod! Is block!
What can I do!?
The Rootkit don't go, the NX manager don't go (because I was hoping thet they reboot my tablet in fastboot).

So what's the issue, you don't have a recovery installed any longer?

No because I've done a mess!
I' ve formatted the "system" folder, and now my tablet is freezed on the startup screen, with the Google logo, and if I try to reboot it/shut it down, the tablet doesn't work. So i'm locked in this situation.
I've downloaded two roms: CM 10 and the orignial google roms.
The very big problem is that:
Windows doesn't recognises my tablet! It says that I've connected an USB MTP but don't open anything! So I can't do aything...Is there any flasher program that can help me?
A good way to reboot it may be to turn off the battery opening the back dock, but i'm not good in hardware-hacking so I wonder in any other solution.
Thanks
Just now I turned it off holding the Powerbutton+Volumeup ( but now doesn't reboot in any way) and Windows recognises it as an APX device
Another edit:
I just rebooted in the bootloader, but when I start the Recovery Mode, the tablet freezes on an "android" icon with a red "error" icon
Thanks
You can either do one of two things:
1. Start over from scratch going back to complete stock. This will erase your internal sd card, so anything there will be gone. Hopefully you have a backup if anything important is there.
LINK: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1907796
NOTE: Assuming you unlocked your bootloader already, start reading under the heading Flashing Factory Image, start at Step 3.
2. You can boot into the Bootloader, connect the tablet to your computer, use fastboot to flash a custom recovery, then use adb to push the CM10 zip file to your device, flash it in recovery and reboot.
There's a few steps involved in each, both use fastboot commands, so it's really up to you. I can explain either.
EDIT: The methods I'll describe do not use any sort of toolkit, which is also known as the "manual" way of doing things.
Problem solved!
Ok, I MADE IT!! :victory:
I forced the shutdown pressing PowerButton+Volume UP, then i Rebooted the device pressing PowerButton+Volume DOWN ( Fast Boot).
Then...
First of all I downloaded the Nexus7 Toolkit of XDA Developers,
- I downloaded the flash stock (Google/Nexus) ( Step 9 of the toolkit actions)
- and flashed the device from the Nexus7Toolkit (Step 9 of the toolkit actions again)
Then the device returned in "factory status", including the Bootloader version ( Removing the old Recovery Mode).
Problem Solved!
Thank you very much for the instant support.
I was misunderstanding some things about installing the ROMS ( I've tried to Push the factory stock into the tab - Step 13 of the Toolkit) , so I thought I came in trouble, but following step by step the Toolkit commands, I made it.
Thank you so much.
