[Q] Unable to install APK. Help! - Motorola Droid and Milestone Themes and Apps

I just got back my milestone from Motorola as there's some problem. They updated to the newest 2.2 firmware. After rooting, I removed the stock MotoNav apk, and tried to install my own MotoNav apk. But it keep saying installation unsuccessful. So I used rootexplorer and moved to system/app. But it didnt show up in the application menu, so I tired to install from system/app, but it still says installation unsucessful.
Anybody knows how to solve it? Thanks in advance!!

Use rootexplorer and delete " com.navngo.igo.javaclient " from / data / data. Reboot to recovery and wipe dalvik/ cache.
Check if com.navngo.igo.javaclient is shown under settings->applications->manage applications-> all. If yes, force stop.
Then try installing.

APK application not installed

I am using root explorer to copy the city id and 3g hotspot apk from my sd card to system /app but every time I try to install I get application not installed. I changed permissions and everything. I do not know what I am doing wrong. I un installed them with titanium and want to restore them. I did a backup but did not see an option to reinstall. So, I just downloaded the apk's and am doing it this way.
Where did you get the apk's? I need the City id

Here is where I downloaded the cityid apk. Hope it helps. I do not even know if it was the right one. They are for the Droid X but I assumed since they are similar it would work but I can not ge it to install to my system /app

APK doesn't install
Yes, there's something strange going on with the TAB.
I get "application not installed" when I try to reinstall the mail app. I've also tried moving the APK into the system/app folder but it won't even with r/w access.
I've also tried installing with adb, but that throws INSTALL_FAILED_DEXOPT.
The same file installs fine on my HTC Desire.
I used Superoneclick to root the TAB, and terminal seems to get su without problem, but I think there's something I'm missing.
Any help gratefully received.

[Q] Restore atrix blurhome apk

I uninstall the Home launcher originally on atrix using root uninstall, I have backed up the apk but when I try to install again it says "application not installed." Could anyone help me with this? The back up file is blurhome_2.2.2.apk
Are you restoring the file attributes too?
Make sure to use the proper attribs once you copy back the apk.

[Q] google calendar HELP

Hi,
I have deleted calendar application (accidentally) from my phone. Titanium backup also not showing the backed up calendar so i can't restore it.
I tried installing the calendar.apk (extracted from the rom package) it forced stop with error.
I want my calendar back. Is there any way. I am using cm 7.1 rom 2.3.4.
Please Help
Thanks
can you explain how u delete that?because it is very necessary to solve ur problem.
I believe that if you flash a relevant gApps .zip file you should be able to get it?

Did you try pushing the Calender.apk and CalenderProvider.apk to /system/app/ using adb or root explorer. Then changing the file permissions to rw-r-r. Maybe it works. (If it force closes again, clear the application data from /settings/applications/manage applications/all/ and restart. )

Hello. I searched for a problem like mine, but I haven't found an answer. I'm using GingerDX v21 2.3.7. I wan't to install the Xperia Active Launcher, which I have downloaded from two different places :

I tried the both files. I used Astro File Manager, AppInstaller and Root Explorer with full premissions. Also I tried to put the file into system/app I than to install it, but the result was the same - application not installed. I searched for the same problem, but I coulnd't find a solution. So how can I install this Launcher? Any ideas?

Ive tried almost every google play apk and it does the same thing. Can somebody please backup there google play store app using titanium backup and send me a backup of there google play app. It should be located in /storage/emulated/legacy/TitaniumBackup. You will need a file manager with root permissions, move the apk to /system/app give it the proper permissions, should be read write and execute.
