Hi!
I have a tattoo, with nFinity GB 0.92.
Works perfect.
When i try to install apps from web market, the web market do not allow to install them because it detects i have a tattoo.
There is no problem with the OS as it is GB.
So, is there any way to install them form web market?
maybe cheating some file?
any idea?
thanks!!.
Try market enabler, maybe this will help. It's very useful app.
Are you sure tattoo is supported by this app?

What do you mean?.
I will tery again.
There are some apps (this do not happen with all apps, just some), that requiere OS 2.1 or 2.2.
Since my Tattoo is using GB, that means 2.2.3 this apps its supose that will work.
My problem is:
When i try to install them form the market, using my desktop computer, the web market do no let me to install them. It It says that my device is not supported.
Even more, if i get the APK file from other way than the market, i copy the file to my SD, then i can install it on my Tattoo form its file explorer.
1. Could it be because the webmarket, asumes that Tattoo uses Andorid 1.6 by default and thats the reason it dont let to install?.
2. I dont this it is a Screen Resolution problem, because it happen with common applications. I could understant it will happen with HD games.
3. So, The BIG DEAL, Is there any way to cheat the android web market so it thins i have a diferent device than a Tattoo, maybe a desire?
THANKS,
some apps won't install on tattoo no matter which version you got...

I think you didnt understand what i mean.
If i get the APK file anywhere and i copy to my SD card, i can install it, working fine.
If i try to install tha app from the web market, the web market tells that my device is not supported.
So, is there any way of cheating the market, or the device, so the web market thinks i have, i.e. a Desire and so let me intall the app, from the web market?

Got the same issue running CM6. It says the app is not signed correctly
Delete it from system/app then adb push it. Everyone had the same issue when gmail and car home came to the market.
New YouTube is stunning though. Hint to what Gingerbread will be like?
Sent from my HTC Desire
But why is it? Because of the custom rom? Also, how do i do the adb thing? Could you be more precise?

I'm not entirely sure, but I think its because its originally stored in system/app and after we update, it tries to store on your SD, without properly deleting the system version.
Something like that anyway

Any of you having network problems with the new youtube app?
I keep getting a network error, error 400 I think it is. Its not because I don't have internet, because I have no problem using the browser or market. Any know solution?

Uninstalling in titanium backup reboot than install in market

To use Widgets; apps must be stored in phone memory. Once you update YouTube goto settings>applications>manage applications select YouTube and move to phone.

A Solution
I had the same problem - tried installing and got package incorrectly signed, solved it by uninstalling YouTube with Titanium Backup, restart, and then installing from the market.
If i tried installing straight after the uninstall it failed - meaning restart is a must.
Using OpenDesire 4.0.36.
I have manage to install new ver.
first delete from system/app/youtube.apk than also
in data/app/youtube.apk

& now download new Youtube from market or if you tray to install

@ mod: sorry for the language, please close the thread im just gonna download the new miui rom with the new youtube cooked in.
install worked no problems for me, deleted youtube.apk from /system/app/ using root explorer.. rebooted and installed from the market with no issues
I can't find YouTube app on market, it just doesnt show up!!
When i go to "m.google.pt/youtube/" it says that my device is not compatible with youtube... lol
I have a Vodafone 845 that come with stock youtube player... lolz....this sucks :s
Aight so i am using the latest HyperDroid with CM7 on my HD2.
I am trying to download games from the Android Market on my PC but the page is recognizing my phone as an HD2 and i can't install the games..
The weird thing is that i can install Applications from Android Market.
Any heads up? I'm tired of using the Market place on the phone.
Android Market is the best!
So, what is the problem with installing .apk from Market using your phone?
Since you can't do it from PC the phone is an option isn't it?

Hi,
I have an HTC wildfire 2.2.1 froyo.
I visited the Android market via my pc and found apps that were not on my Android market. When I searched some apps that I goin on my pc's market, it told me "not found" pls tell me how to find the newer apps on the market.
Thanks.
On the PC, you will be able to see all apps, without any restrictions. This is not so on the Wildfire, which can only show compatible apps. Obviously, many apps will not be shown because they are not compatible with the older processor, no GPU, QVGA resolution etc.

Maybe the app u searched is once present in the market and now removed from the market due to any issues.
As u were on official froyo u r using unpatched market on the phone which only shows wildfire compatible apps. And the pc version shows every application, but even it is not much useful as u cannot install the unsupported apps again. Pc android market just lets u know the presence of any wildfire unsupported apps.

Are you definitely sure that it isn't there? Considering that it does come installed stock.
Otherwise, install it from this link: http://code.google.com/p/synergy-base/source/browse/trunk/system/app/Vending.apk?r=239

You really should go back to wherever you bought it from and ask for an explanation.
If that doesn't work out for you, a simple way to install it without connecting it to your computer would be to install ROM Manager and then install Google Apps from there. I personally would take the new Market from the XDAForums.
Hey, if you are going to install the market, it might as well be the new one.
How can he install ROM Manager easily without the Market, and what use would that be? I've merely provided the apk, that's all there is to it.
To the OP, remember to allow installing from unknown sources under Settings > Applicationa

I see your point.
I was just assuming that if he didn't have the market, he probably didn't have some g apps either.
Doing it either way is easy enough, and in any case, and if you're going to install through an apk, then you might as well take the new one (that said, I haven't checked out your link as yet).
Does ROM Manager give a flashable package or a bunch of apks? Because again, if he isn't rooted, he can't flash zips either...knowing ROM Manager, I'm presuming they are zips.

ROM Manager deals with installing Google Apps the same way it deals with any other ROM. It is a pretty useful thing tto hhave, especially because a lot of ROMs ship without Google apps.
So yeah, I'm guessing that you would have to root.

Sugggest you back to shop to ask for an explain. By default it comes with HTC Sense and all Google apps. If you sure it is not there, maybe the shop flash you another customized rom?
as far as know its the standard rom the phone came with
its wasn't root etc.
its not a UK phone its from Kuwait but it has English etc on it
i was wondering if it doesn't have apps market as standard in that country??
i got it online so would mean posting back, emailed them and that dont understand why it didnt have the market on.

If you go to settings > about phone > software, could you post the info from there on here please? Just to determine whether your ROM is standard or not

You can get the latest Android Market.apk from here.
(It's also on XDA in a few threads.)
EDIT: Sorry, nevermind. I missed the replies on page 1.

Hmm...all stock. Strange.
Did you install the Vending.apk from my link, and did that work? 1.86 is very old, that might be why it doesn't work as well.
If mine didn't work, I can fetch the previous version for you.

Hi,
I've got a problem with the Android market.
I'm running Hyperdroid on my HD2 and was trying to download the App "SlideIT" from the Market.
Unfortunatly there is no download or install button on the Market app on my phone.
I tried using the Market via the browser on my PC and there it says that "this app is not compatible with my HD2". So I can't install it from there either.
Is it possible to make the market think that I'm using a desire or something? Could anyone help?

dude, i think that the problem is in your android rom, the app u need , might not be capable on running on your rom. But there is always a way out.
Weather u can flash another rom, or rather if u dont want to do it u can simply go to 'THIS LINK' , u can download all the apps from your pc. and put the fil in to your mobile via disk drive.
open the file explorer
and just install the app, and enjoy.
"Dont forget to push the 'Thanks' button.
Well I was using the software (SlideIT) before on my rom, but accidantially deleted it. So it's working on my rom.
I guess the problem is the phone model name which seems to be transferred to the Market.
I mean there isn't any HTC HD2 Android device except for the ones with custom roms.
I guess it would be helpfull to change the modell name to Desire or something like that. But it doesn't seem to be possible.
As I bought the App in the market it seems there is no other way to get the (full) version anywhere else.
Is there a way to downgrade the Market app to the old version?
EDIT: found a way to downgrade to the old market version (http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/how-to-downgrade-android-market-3-0-26-to-old-market-tip/) and with this one I can download the App again!
